A waffle with chocolate spread, sliced strawberries, whipped cream, and powdered sugar, served on a paper-lined tray at a restaurant.

We got the classic waffle with Nutella and strawberries. It was $13, and the waffle was tiny, about 6"x6"- so not great value. The Chantilly cream and Nutella on top were SUPER good but the waffle itself was gummy- it had no crunch and was hard to cut into. I'm gluten free so I have high standards for GF foods and this one was pretty disappointing. However, they gave us $6 off for being in the military, which was super nice of them.

A very expensive waffle place that smells a lot better than it tastes. The toppings are great. My husband and I got Nutella and strawberry with this yummy cream- so that tasted great. However, the waffle itself tasted a bit undercooked to me. Perhaps it's cuz it's gluten free? Great choice if you are gluten free. 13 dollars for a small waffle is not worth it in my opinion.

Gluten free and dairy free waffles!!!! What goodness was waiting for us. I ordered the strawberry shortcake with Vegan whip. My daughter ordered the bourbon peach waffle with Vegan whip. They let us know they were out of the Vegan whip we were ok with that. But OMG one of the ladies there made us some by scratch and it did not disappoint. That is always the best homemade. They were all so very nice to us and the place is also small and cute. The smells were amazing who doesn't love the smell of Waffles.

Such a cute and charming spot! Loved that they have both sweet and savory waffle options. Service was friendly and fast; tons of seating available, but it does get a bit cramped. I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake waffle and a Root Beer "Float". "Float" is used generously because they add whipped cream to a soda of your choice and then call it a "float". I know the description says it comes with Chantilly cream, but I had interpreted it as a float in the traditional sense (ice cream + soda), with whipped cream on top. It wasn't bad, by any means, but it certainly wasn't a float -- definitely more a cream soda by the end. The size of the waffle felt small for the price, but it was fresh and delicious, with a decent helping of strawberries. I enjoyed trying it, but am unsure if I'd come back again.

Don't do it. It sounds exciting and delicious... but it's going to come soggy, and tastes nasty. Keep walking, try somewhere else. Also, the eggs come scrambled, don't trust the illustrations and pictures.

Absolutely 10/10! The girls are the counter were so kind and helpful. I can't have dairy so they helped me modify my order to meet that restriction and boy did they deliver! This did not mess up the flavor! It was absolutely delicious. Would totally return next time I'm back in town. It's a cute cozy spot, they bring it to your table.

While strolling through the charming streets of St. Augustine, we decided to grab a quick snack and came across Whips Waffle, a spot that seemed quite popular with many people enjoying their waffles. The shop also had excellent reviews. When we entered, there was a bit of a wait--we stood in line for about 10-15 minutes before it was our turn to order. From their tempting menu, we chose the Winter Wonderland Waffle. Our waffle was served fresh, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were delightful, and it was perfectly satisfying as a snack. It fulfilled our craving for something sweet. Whips Waffle is a must-visit for anyone who loves freshly made waffles with a variety of flavors.

Omg so good! I wish I had gotten the strawberry shortcake like my girlfriend bc hers looked amazing! Mine was good but hers looked better! Such a cool place with sweet and savory options. The waffle itself was sweet and had a distinct taste to it, but it's officially replaced my crepe purchase when I get there! One of the employees was very kind and let me taste a strawberry before I committed to it. Strawberries are so tart and white right now. I loved everything about it and can't wait to go back to try more and the chantilly cream, to die for!! There's plenty of seating and seems very clean. Love it here!

My mom has never been to Saint Augustine and I know this new waffle place opened up this year it is called whips sweet and savory waffle Company. They have three different types of waffles to choose from they have a liege waffle and a Brussels waffle and a flour waffle. They also have sweet waffles they have six sweet waffles and then they have six savory waffle options. You can also do a sampler trio for $18 you can get three different waffles. They also have their own merch they have hats aprons and T-shirts. They also let you know that some waffles can be made vegan iced or gluten-free which is very nice. They also have a small menu upfront when you check out that has gluten-free or vegan options as well as some seasonal waffle flavors or options. I talk to my mom into getting a waffle she is doing a take on bananas foster so she got a flower-based waffle with fresh banana and a chocolate syrup on top with whip cream. I spoke to Eva who was phenomenal and made us a tea good waffle.

Located at 60 St. George Street, Whips Waffle Company elevates the classic waffle with a fresh, innovative menu that caters to both sweet and savory cravings. Made fresh daily, these waffles range from fluffy to dense, offering an array of flavors that make it hard to choose just one. The Strawberry Shortcake waffle is a standout, featuring a cornbread waffle stack topped with fresh strawberry compote, juicy berries, and a cloud of Chantilly cream. For something richer, the Bourbon Peach Cobbler--a Liege waffle paired with warm bourbon-infused peaches, maple drizzle, Chantilly cream, and granola crunch--is a must-try. For those seeking savory options, dishes like Brisket Mac-N-Cheese or Chicken & Waffles are delightful, hearty options. Or get creative and build your own waffle masterpiece with toppings like Oreos, marshmallows, Nutella, candy pecans, and even Cinnamon Toast Crunch. With a recent ribbon-cutting and a celebratory champagne toast, Whips Waffle Company is making waves on St. George Street. This waffle wonderland is worth a visit for anyone looking to indulge in a deliciously unique treat. IG: @whipswaffleco

Always in search of new brunch spots, combined with our love for waffles. We found Whips waffles! They are a super cool, casual place located downtown on St George Street! The waffles were AWESOME! They are so creative! We tried 3 different ones and plan to return for more! Service was friendly and we are excited to add this to our list of spots here in town!

WOW. We have eaten so many things in St. Augustine, but this was by far the best meal we put in our mouths. It has such complex layers of flavor that was beautifully unexpected. Like, a black pepper whipped cream? UNBELIEVABLE. 5 stars all day. Couldn't be happier that we window shopped for breakfast. Service- warm and sweet. Ambiance- like being inside a southern cookbook. Perfect.

Stopped here for something sweet after spending the afternoon on St. Augustine Beach with my…read morefamily. This was my first visit to Cone Heads, and I had a very enjoyable experience! Cone Heads is located right on A1A Beach Blvd, just a block off of the beach. It is in a standalone building that is inviting with both colorful signage and plenty of outdoor seating. They also have a drive-thru and a private parking lot. When we visited on a Tuesday in July around 5:30 PM, we had no issue getting a parking spot. There were some other customers enjoying some ice cream, but there was relatively no line when we entered the store. The ordering happens inside, and you walk right into the ice cream cabinets and counter. All of the flavors are displayed and can be seen from the order line. Additionally inside, there are some tables to sit and eat at, along with a restroom. They sell a variety of merchandise along with their food and dessert selection. I liked seeing the community cork-board, where there were a variety of different posters and advertisements for events and services around the area. The menu consisted of traditional ice cream items one would expect - cups, cones, sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes, and more. They also had a Seasonal Special section on the menu, which I assume changes somewhat frequently. This trip, that item was a Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. There are some sundae combinations on the menu, but you can customize your own if you choose. There is hard ice cream, soft serve, and also some hot food options - hot dogs, sausages, and tamales, primarily. For drinks, they had canned soda, bottled, water, and some coffee options. As far as to-go, they had pints and quarts available for the ice cream, along with a freezer full of pre-packaged pints, quarts, and ice cream sandwiches for a grab and go situation. Having never been here before, our group needed some time to look at the menu and flavors before ordering. There were around 30 different flavors of hard ice cream, which included No Sugar Added and Dairy Free varieties, in addition to traditional full dairy varieties. I thought that the flavor selection was a healthy mix of traditional favorites and unique offerings. The staff working were friendly and helpful with answering all of our questions about the flavors. I even got to try a couple samples before making my decision. After much debate, I landed on trying the Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. This was made to order, and I got to choose the ice cream for the filling. I opted for the Kahula Chip for a coffee and donut flavor combination. I did enjoy this treat! The donut was fresh (and from a local spot), and the ice cream complimented it nicely. I thought the price was also fair for the size and specialty of the dessert, at $5.50 before any tax. My dog was waiting patiently in the car, so we ordered him a Doggie Ice Cream. It was a small boat of vanilla soft serve with peanut butter sauce and a Milk Bone. For my magnet collection, I also purchased one of their logo to take home with me. I personally did not pay the bill, but I thought the pricing here was fair and in line with any other similar type of shop. They took both cash and card. This shop is exactly what you would want out of an ice cream shop on the beach - fun, colorful, and local. They incorporate various other local businesses into their products. The theme of the establishment is appropriate for being a block away from the ocean, and there is a lot of color and fun decor to look at around the building. The staff were all pleasant, the product is tasty, and the price is right. Really enjoyed discovering Cone Heads on this trip, and will make sure to stop by again during my future trips to St. Augustine!
