Went to the beach today, as I was leaving this little shop caught my eye while leaving circle K. It's in a great location up from the beach, with minimal exterior decoration makes for a simple aesthetic for a simple menu (good thing). I got this bagel below , a cookies and crème donut, as well as a Cinimon roll. I loved all except Cinimon roll. They are huge and look bussin, however I would cinder it more honey bun like. Which I did not enjoy and was heavily let down. But the service and quickness about pumping out food and drinks made up for it. Would recommend! read more

We walked past this place after breakfast and thought, "yep, we're going in." They were pretty busy and had a decent selection of doughnuts and other pastries. I got a Chocolate Icing and my husband got a Boston Creme Pie, basically a chocolate covered creme filled doughnut. Sadly, I didn't get a picture because he ate his pretty quickly! The doughnuts were fine, but we both agreed we liked Lickin' Good Doughnuts better. Not sure if that's a chain or just some doughnut stores operating around central Alabama? Checked out this beachside donut and bagel shop on a recommendation, and we're so glad we did! The donut flavors were fun and delicious according to my friends who each picked one of the creative flavors. I went savory instead and ordered an everything bagel with avocado spread, which hit the spot. That said, the table consensus was clear: the rosemary sea salt bagel is the one to get. As soon as I walked back with my food, I was hit with the amazing aroma of rosemary. It smelled incredible, and my friends confirmed it tasted just as good. The coffee was really solid, and the whole place has a cute, fun vibe. Despite being busy, our order came out quickly and we found a nice spot to sit on the patio. Stopped here for Bagels, donuts and coffee. You guys knocked it out of the park. Great service at the counter and not long for the toasted bagels to come out with plenty of cream cheese to spread. Sevice was excellent and a great ambiance to this nice little place. Good hot decaf coffee that my wife needs in the morning. The prices are a little high but quality is excellent, they are sticking true to their roots just the basics which has kept them in business for 5 years. This place has a great selection of donuts. They also make their own bagels (love the sea salt rosemary) and fritters. Be warned, when they are out for the day they are out! Often they close early because they sell out so get up early and head over. The counter ladies move everything along pretty quickly, definitely give them a try! read more

Come with me to Island Donuts, located in St. Augustine, FL. I am so glad I made a U-turn to stop at Island Donuts. When we walked in, we were kindly greeted, and I ordered a dozen donuts and asked for one of each that was left to pick from. Since it was still early morning, I ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches in a bagel. The breakfast sandwich was so good my dad and brother each got one. Their dough is soft and fluffy. Their iced coffee was also good. Overall, Island Donuts was excellent. Their donut selection is wide, and they have cool options to choose from. Best bagels hands down! We got a dozen; rosemary sea salt (the fav), Asiago and plain. Also had to add a half dozen donuts for a sweet treat. This place is awesome and service is great. You need to arrive early to make sure they don't sellout on popular flavors. Also, this is not fast food. They will make your order fresh so that does take time if you are ordering a sandwich. It's worth the wait as it comes are warm and delicious. There is some seating inside and a few seats outside as well. The place is cute, neat and always clean. Service was great the gal that helped me gave me suggestions. I love donuts and was excited to try these so underwhelmed the glazed donut was soggy and sweaty like it had been sprayed with water. The blueberry cake donut was so dry and heavy the maple cake dry dry dry no crunch on the exterior of the donut like it was old. The double chocolate was at least edible was moist inside but again the exterior of the donut soft like an old donut. Boston cream soggy the chocolate frosting was good nice chocolate flavor not overly sweet. So this is a miss on donut shops. Threw 5 away after we had a bite of each we ate most of the double chocolate. read more

After a night out, I was craving a coffee and a sweet pastry of some sort. I found Island Donuts on Yelp and decided to pay a visit. I'm glad I did. The shop is easy to access from the road, plenty of parking, and even a cute shark mouth outside to take photos with. The inside was extremely clean which I appreciate. I ordered the pineapple fritter with coconut on top, a key lime filled Donut, and a blueberry glazed Donut with a coffee. Everything was reasonably priced. The coffee is self served and I opted for the hazelnut hot coffee and the oatmilk provided on the bar. It was the pick me up I needed that morning. I sat outside under the covered area porch they have. It was great to watch the sunrise since it was so close to the beach. The pineapple fritter was AMAZING. MUST ORDER WHEN YOU GO. It had pieces of fresh pineapple all throughout and had a sweet glaze. The keylime Donut was generously filled and delightful. And you can't go wrong with the blueberry glazed Donut. I asked on a food review page for the best donuts in town and Island Donuts did Not disappoint. Everyone agreed best donuts And bagels in town by Far. If only they were dye free they're be absolutely golden! There are so many number dye free sprinkle and plant dyed icing options out there now, even Dunkin' Donuts is dye free. I really hope they see this and try out making the switch. The dye free community is pretty huge in town and I know they would get a swarm of new customers if they would make the switch. read more

Tasty donuts! We were pleasantly surprised by the island fritter with coconut (didn't expect the pineapple... and it made it moist and delicious). We are staying in our Airstream a little over a mile away at the KOA campground... quick to get here! Staff was friendly, and quick. We do wish that the fritter had some warmth left, having been there at 7:30 AM, but it seemed fully refrigerated, so must not have been prepared this morning. That's our only criticism. We also got some iced coffees that were very good and self served. They actually had OatMilk which is my wife's favorite, I didn't see stevia but they have raw sugar instead. I am an unabashed donut lover. Whenever I travel I try to find unique donut shops - ones that do things the old school way. You can see the old school donuts in the way they are made - shapes are slightly different, cream filled (not unceremoniously plopped on top) , fritters, etc... The trend of new style mechanically/robotically made donuts made elsewhere can go duck themselves. Besides all that, these donuts are downright delicious. Unfortunately I didn't make it here until the end of my trip so only got to try the old fashioned and boston cream. The old fashioned had an exterior that looked perfectly browned which was more soft than I thought they would be (I blame being so close to the ocean - humidity!) the inside was fresh and soft. Boston cream was generously stuffed and so good. Recommendation: Get here before the sunrise (they open early), order some of your favorite donuts, grab a coffee and go up the road to the pier to enjoy an amazingly gorgeous sunrise. Its my favorite time of day - the donuts make it that much better! read more
