My husband and I come to this bagel shop once a week faithfully to get our bagel and coffee (or tea). The bagels are very good, especially the poppyseed and cinnamon raisin. The self-serve coffee station offers a good decaf (I found that some shops don't even have decaf!). Delicious muffins as well, especially the cranberry-orange and chocolate chip. They also make a wide variety of sandwiches on your choice of bread, bagel, or croissant. The staff is friendly and always anxious to make the customer happy. I went there recently after not having been for sometime. The staff was not friendly. Asked for extra pickles with my sandwiches. I got attitude and an option of no chips and extra pickle or a slice of pickle and chips as usual. I would not have minded even paying for extra pickles however that was never an option. When I got my food, of course there were no extra pickles, and there was plenty of attitude. When it comes down to it, it's all about Customer Service. After a long hiatus, I have returned to one of my favorite bagel spots. The bagels are always soft and delicious. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. The bagel shop offers a few tables inside and out. I am not a coffee drinker, so I appreciate the fountain soda. The service was ok. I was not familiar with the routine of getting my own cup after ordering, and I felt it was an inconvenience to the cashier to explain the process. The bagels, breads, pastries and muffins are always fresh. Enjoyed a lox and bagel sandwich today. My wife had a salt bagel and cream cheese. The cold brew was excellent. Plus, the staff are great. Had a great recommendation from Micah based on her fave. Jalapeño cheddar bagel, bacon jam, cream cheese and other goodies; it was excellent. This led to a convo with Micah about her family, cats, and love of St. Augustine and her customers. What more could you want? Had a very short window of time before I had to pick someone up, so I checked to see what wasn't too far away and to my surprise, Everything Bagel came up (hooray)! That being said, I stopped in, made my order, plus added a cannoli and got everything to go. The store has had some updates since I was last in (new signage, and some updated decor inside, which was def.a plus). This place reminds me of a NY deli, they have everything from bagels with a schmear to bagel sandwiches. My order was ready in just a few minutes. When I got back to the parking lot where I had to pick someone up, I dug into my bagel with cream cheese. They def know how to make a bagel with schmear. There was a TON of cream cheese and you could tell the veggie cream cheese was chock full. The cream cheese was flavorful, creamy, and piled high! I haven't dug into the cannoli (YET), but super excited to. This place is a cute little bagel shop!! Order at the counter, super nice staff and fast! I ordered an egg, bacon and cheese on an everything bagel, it was fluffy on the inside and toasted nicely on the outside with a generous amount of bacon and two eggs(omelette style) plus a hot coffee to go. Everything was prepared quickly even with the amount of customers in queue! They have other bagels, toppings, and sandwiches, and salad options and will go back to check it out! Great bagels!!!! one of the few places around Jacksonville that makes authentic bagels. my wife had a breakfast sandwich (ham egg and cheese) on a delicious plain bagel ( crusty onthe outside and moist and chewy on the inside) and i had the loc platter on a bagel-generous portion of loc with onions tomatoes and capers on a plain bagel). was absolutely delicious though i should have asked for less cream cheese as it was a bit much. the service was fast efficient and friendly. if going or near St Augustine beach you should definitely stop by. read more

Wow, went here mid morning and there was a line. That is ALWAYS A GOOD SIGN. They have multiple bagels and multiple spreads. Trying to figure out the most popular, I started looking at the orders and when hat told me nothing, I started looking at which bagel types had the largest bins. (After all, I was in line and had time to kill.) Ultimately I settled on a Asiago Cheese bagel with lox spread and was thoroughly satisfied. The spread is put on the bagel for you, so no opening containers and knifing through the spread process. The spread was not too heavy and the bagel toasted just enough to warm it up. Headed back when I am in town, maybe for lunch. Who knows, maybe fir just another bagel. read more

Bottom Line: I would return to this independently owned local gem for fresh bagels in the morning. I don't recommend buying bagels after 2PM. I arrived at Everything Bagel after 2PM, and ordered toasted bagel & lox and a bag of half-priced bagels. Toasted bagel & lox sandwich (comes with tomatoes, capers, onion, & cream cheese) $7.95: Generous amount of tasty lox and fresh toppings. The toasted bagel was a bit stale. Half-Priced Bagels After 2PM: Everything Bagel sell bagels by the 1⁄2 dozen and dozen for 50% off after 2PM every day. The friendly salesperson said they are made in house every night. I expected the bagels wouldn't be as fresh after 2PM (Everything Bagel uses no preservatives), but the bagels were all stale. Stale bagels aren't worth even half price. Thanks to Google, I was able to revive a few bagels with a bit of water on a plate in the microwave. But overall, it was a waste because stale bagels have already lost their flavor and texture. Since they make bagels at night, maybe they should start the half price sale after 12PM instead of 2PM... Service was excellent, Everything Bagel uses good quality ingredients, and makes fresh bagels every day; so I would return -- just not in the afternoon. read more

I've quit my job and left my family to dedicate a search for the best bagel place. Well my journey has come to an end, because the bagel shop of all bagel shops has been found. To say their bagels are incredible is an understatement. They are the most perfect combination of crispy on the outside(but not hard) yet delicate and soft on the inside. They have truly mastered the art of bagel making. Even through trial and torture(trying other bagel shops) I can't help but think back to everything bagel every single time. There is a feeling of wrong doing when I go elsewhere... Like a betrayal. Even at a highly reviewed bagel shop in Los Angeles, I was there dreaming of Everything Bagel here in St. Aug. You can't miss the wonderful and hard working team here either. They are beyond friendly and you are always greeted with a smile. They've even come to remember my name! Pretty disappointed with everything bagel and definitely won't be returning. We used to frequent them a couple times a week as we live close by. It seemed to change hands and slowly the quality of the food went down. We went yesterday for a dozens of bagels and a 1lb of cream cheese. The total was $40+ (not sure if they were price gouging due to the storm or this is their norm)?! nearly double of other local places like joint bagel. The bagels were raw even after toasting, we had to put them in the oven. The girl filling our order was very nice but a woman with glasses next to her overseeing was completely rude. With places like joint bagel, half the price, way better quality and great customer service, we will take the long drive. read more

I used to work in the plaza next door to Everything Bagel and would get bagels or BEC or lunch sandwiches alllllll the time from here and it was amazing food, service, staff, and with great prices. All of my coworkers loved Everything Bagel, we would rotate who would be buying lunch that weekend. Since being back in the area, I heard they have changed ownership within the past 2 years. I recently went there twice in the last 3 months, the prices have drastically increased but without the same quality food. Honestly, the food isn't the same quality (especially the BEC- no flavor and not enough egg to bacon ratio), the bagels aren't as "fluffy" and fresh. The staff is't as nice, or helpful either. What a let down... very disappointing... second day in a row of trying a new bagel joint and second day in a row of terrible bagels. We are starting to wonder if people in St Augustine know how to make a bagel? Is it the bad water? We stopped in this morning and got 5 bagels and a couple crumb cakes. The crumb cakes were so rancid and stale that they were inedible. We tried a cheddar, plain, tuscan, and blueberry bagel - none of them were very good. None had the texture of a bagel, these were like a dinner roll. And how can you advertise a tuscan bagel that has spices and it have no flavor? To top it off our order was wrong - we ordered and paid for one of the special cream cheeses on the plain bagel and after we were down the road realized they didn't get the order right. It was a rather terrible experience and for the price - $50 for 5 bagels, 2 crumb cake pieces, a tiny apple juice, and a tiny milk... wowza, you got us good! We won't make this same mistake twice. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Upon first walking in the staff was talking with each other and not acknowledging us. To be fair they warmed up after some conversation. Just not the best experience.
