Five enthusiastic stars for this gem. We came in to this cute shop just a few minutes before closing, but we were greeted with smiles by both employees. They were engaging and personable. Great little spot, I really liked my ice cream choice it was creamy, icy, and not overly sweet like other ice cream places. I am not a sugar queen so I got a mini scoop. Each single scoop was $3.99 just enough for me. The baby loved her rainbow ice cream with sprinkles ate it all, slurped it up, that never happens so that's how I know it was good. Total for 4 ice creams was $15. Not bad. I am a regular at the owners coffee truck so I am happy I was able to finally stop in. Loved it! Give them a shot and support your locals! read more

There is free street parking. Can be sparse at times and you'll have to walk a bit. I got the Coffee Cookies & Cream and the Graham Central (S'mores minus the marshmallow). IT WAS SO GOOD!!! Such fun flavors that went really well together. They also have your basic flavors, cookies, shakes, and sundaes available. Pricing was pretty reasonable! $3 ish for one scoop $5 ish for two. I do think that The St. Augustine Scoop earned its top ice cream shopping rating for St. Augustine on Yelp for good reasons! The only reason I'm not giving a 5th star is because the portions were small. Otherwise, the ice cream was super creamy and delicious. I had dark chocolate and mint moose tracks, and both flavors packed a great punch of chocolate candies inside of them. The waffle cone was crunchy, and the whole shop was inviting just as an ice cream shop should be. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed speaking with them. But the struggle is that my roommate asked the girl, the cute girl that looked like she could prob be our friend, and homegirl said the cookie was really good. I went for a walk after a day working in St Augustine and saw a sign that said root beer floats and headed in- I was craving sasparilla earlier, I thought I would grab a float instead- but then I saw all the flavors in the ice cream case!!! Hmmm- yum. I snagged a couple samples and split my one scoop cup into two flavors- banana pudding and a raspberry chocolate. The ladies were very sweet behind the counter & I loved the bright, happy feel of the space. Exactly what you want from an ice cream shop. Great ice cream and very reasonable prices. The very friendly staff let us take multiple samples. We tried several unique flavors: honey Graham; sea salt caramel with other stuff; key lime pie; a coffee ice cream with chocolate chip truffles, and my two favorites: orange-pineapple and the absolute bestest blueberry cheesecake ice cream I have had in life! A single scoop is really two small/medium-sized scoops, and for no extra charge they'll split it into two different flavors. This means you can get a two scoop sundae and actually pick 4 flavors! The single scoop size with or without a cone is about $4. The single scoop sundae only cost about $0.75 more for the whipped cream, hot fudge and a cherry. We love the fact that it's actual hot fudge and not Hershey's syrup I did not try milkshakes, but they had cute names for the interesting combinations. The lime in the coconut was, well, you know. Too bad they don't have a liquor license to to put in the rum! They also had names like blueberry chill or some cherry black coconut combination. Bottled water was around a dollar, which was nice. All and all a rather large dessert for the price you paid versus the 12 other ice cream places in historic / touristy Saint Augustine. Nice that we could walk from our hotel to this ice cream store. It's in the opposite direction of the majority of the tourists. The ladies were nice and friendly and said most locals go there instead of braving the mass of tourists. I got pistachio. I will say the scoop wasn't as large at most of the other stores we went to throughout the drive from CA to FL. Yes, I told me husband that I'm making my bucket list - 10 pounds of ice cream in every state. Very nice ice cream shop. Off the main hustle and bustle of downtown St Aug. but that means you can park within a block or so of the shop, and while busy, no crowded or terribly overpriced. They have a good selection of ice cream. Once you have your ice cream the neighborhood is a nice area to walk around outside on the street. Now the best thing here is the staff and owner. Great experience every time we were there 3-4 times in one week, and the teenagers loved the staff. Friendly, engaging, and made them feel like family. Kids would go on adventures in town while on vacation, and stop here on their way back to the house. Staff remembered them from the first day and eventually had a nickname for them and took a picture to put on the wall. Owner was there often and was very engaging, and invested in the shop. If your in town, and want ice cream, they deserve your business and you will enjoy your experience along with the ice cream. read more
