Great little spot, I really liked my ice cream choice it was creamy, icy, and not overly sweet like other ice cream places. I am not a sugar queen so I got a mini scoop. Each single scoop was $3.99 just enough for me. The baby loved her rainbow ice cream with sprinkles ate it all, slurped it up, that never happens so that's how I know it was good. Total for 4 ice creams was $15. Not bad. I am a regular at the owners coffee truck so I am happy I was able to finally stop in. Loved it! Give them a shot and support your locals!

Double scoop - Coffee Cookies & Cream and Graham Central (s'mores minus marshmallow).

There is free street parking. Can be sparse at times and you'll have to walk a bit. I got the Coffee Cookies & Cream and the Graham Central (S'mores minus the marshmallow). IT WAS SO GOOD!!! Such fun flavors that went really well together. They also have your basic flavors, cookies, shakes, and sundaes available. Pricing was pretty reasonable! $3 ish for one scoop $5 ish for two. The girls working were so fun and chatted up everyone!

I do think that The St. Augustine Scoop earned its top ice cream shopping rating for St. Augustine on Yelp for good reasons! The only reason I'm not giving a 5th star is because the portions were small. Otherwise, the ice cream was super creamy and delicious. I had dark chocolate and mint moose tracks, and both flavors packed a great punch of chocolate candies inside of them. The waffle cone was crunchy, and the whole shop was inviting just as an ice cream shop should be. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed speaking with them. Overall I had a great experience and do highly recommend!

If you want ice cream, this is the spot to visit. I walked by and the smell of their fresh waffle cones pulled us in. Staff was extremely friendly and store was super cute. I had the orange and vanilla sorbet, I highly recommend for anyone who prefers sorbet over ice cream.

We were walking around St Augustine for Night of Lights and needed ice cream after dinner. It was a lovely warm night perfect for walking around looking at lights with a scoop from The Scoop. I couldn't decide between two flavors so I got a sample to make my decision. My husband had moose tracks and my daughter and I had salted Caramel in a sugar cone. The store was nice and clean, the staff fast and friendly.

$6 2x scoop Sundae. "2 scoops" was really 4 medium-sized scoops!

Great ice cream and very reasonable prices. The very friendly staff let us take multiple samples. We tried several unique flavors: honey Graham; sea salt caramel with other stuff; key lime pie; a coffee ice cream with chocolate chip truffles, and my two favorites: orange-pineapple and the absolute bestest blueberry cheesecake ice cream I have had in life! A single scoop is really two small/medium-sized scoops, and for no extra charge they'll split it into two different flavors. This means you can get a two scoop sundae and actually pick 4 flavors! The single scoop size with or without a cone is about $4. The single scoop sundae only cost about $0.75 more for the whipped cream, hot fudge and a cherry. We love the fact that it's actual hot fudge and not Hershey's syrup I did not try milkshakes, but they had cute names for the interesting combinations. The lime in the coconut was, well, you know. Too bad they don't have a liquor license to to put in the rum! They also had names like blueberry chill or some cherry black coconut combination. Bottled water was around a dollar, which was nice. All and all a rather large dessert for the price you paid versus the 12 other ice cream places in historic / touristy Saint Augustine. The staff joked about a local who lightheartedly yelled at them for being too close to the house for temptation!

Stopped here for something sweet after spending the afternoon on St. Augustine Beach with my…read morefamily. This was my first visit to Cone Heads, and I had a very enjoyable experience! Cone Heads is located right on A1A Beach Blvd, just a block off of the beach. It is in a standalone building that is inviting with both colorful signage and plenty of outdoor seating. They also have a drive-thru and a private parking lot. When we visited on a Tuesday in July around 5:30 PM, we had no issue getting a parking spot. There were some other customers enjoying some ice cream, but there was relatively no line when we entered the store. The ordering happens inside, and you walk right into the ice cream cabinets and counter. All of the flavors are displayed and can be seen from the order line. Additionally inside, there are some tables to sit and eat at, along with a restroom. They sell a variety of merchandise along with their food and dessert selection. I liked seeing the community cork-board, where there were a variety of different posters and advertisements for events and services around the area. The menu consisted of traditional ice cream items one would expect - cups, cones, sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes, and more. They also had a Seasonal Special section on the menu, which I assume changes somewhat frequently. This trip, that item was a Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. There are some sundae combinations on the menu, but you can customize your own if you choose. There is hard ice cream, soft serve, and also some hot food options - hot dogs, sausages, and tamales, primarily. For drinks, they had canned soda, bottled, water, and some coffee options. As far as to-go, they had pints and quarts available for the ice cream, along with a freezer full of pre-packaged pints, quarts, and ice cream sandwiches for a grab and go situation. Having never been here before, our group needed some time to look at the menu and flavors before ordering. There were around 30 different flavors of hard ice cream, which included No Sugar Added and Dairy Free varieties, in addition to traditional full dairy varieties. I thought that the flavor selection was a healthy mix of traditional favorites and unique offerings. The staff working were friendly and helpful with answering all of our questions about the flavors. I even got to try a couple samples before making my decision. After much debate, I landed on trying the Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. This was made to order, and I got to choose the ice cream for the filling. I opted for the Kahula Chip for a coffee and donut flavor combination. I did enjoy this treat! The donut was fresh (and from a local spot), and the ice cream complimented it nicely. I thought the price was also fair for the size and specialty of the dessert, at $5.50 before any tax. My dog was waiting patiently in the car, so we ordered him a Doggie Ice Cream. It was a small boat of vanilla soft serve with peanut butter sauce and a Milk Bone. For my magnet collection, I also purchased one of their logo to take home with me. I personally did not pay the bill, but I thought the pricing here was fair and in line with any other similar type of shop. They took both cash and card. This shop is exactly what you would want out of an ice cream shop on the beach - fun, colorful, and local. They incorporate various other local businesses into their products. The theme of the establishment is appropriate for being a block away from the ocean, and there is a lot of color and fun decor to look at around the building. The staff were all pleasant, the product is tasty, and the price is right. Really enjoyed discovering Cone Heads on this trip, and will make sure to stop by again during my future trips to St. Augustine!

They have more flavors than I can even remember--truly something for everyone, including sugar-free and dairy-free options. The "single scoop" here is absolutely massive; at most other places, it would be considered a large. It is incredibly well-priced (under $6!), so you really get your money's worth. I got the Dairy-Free Coffee Almond Fudge, and it was fantastic! While I wish they had a few more dairy-free flavors to match their massive traditional menu, I love that they don't upcharge for the dairy-free options. That is a huge win in my book. The vibe is exactly what you'd want from a local mom-and-pop shop: kitschy, eclectic, and covered in cows. They even have rocking chairs on the front porch to relax in. The crew is always friendly and helpful, too. Pro-tip: This place is popular for a reason! If you're visiting on a weekend, be prepared to wait a bit. Trust me, though--it is so very worth it.
