We tired the mango mojito and strawberry datil, both tasted very fresh. The mango mojito was like a refreshing mocktail in popsicle form, while the strawberry datil has the perfect balance between the sweetness of the strawberry and the datil pepper heat. they also offer alcoholic options which we didn't try this time. This was a refreshing stop to cool off from the sun. They had tasty popsicles, plenty of colorful seating, and great air conditioning. You can sit inside or head out to the back patio, which was a nice option. It was my toddler's first time ever having a popsicle and she loved the chocolate one. All of the flavors are great. I went with a simple strawberry when I went. Hyppo also offers to chocolate dip any of the pops. Though I was not in a sweet mood and wanted something more refreshing, I am hoping to try it the next time I am in town. The staff are super friendly and had great recommendations. Cute shop and delicious popsicles. As soon as we came in we were greater and had all the popsicles explained to us. So many incredible choices. We all made our selections and enjoyed them. I chose the pineapple hatch and it was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. It packed major punch. Which is what you would want when something has hatch chilis. I went here a few years ago and tried the prickly pear flavor. It was a good experience before so we tried again. We loved how fresh the flavors were. We got a single popcicle that had blackberry, blueberry and strawberry. Each flavor was unique. There's only so much that can be done with a popcicle, but this was a nice quick treat. Happened upon this place when touring the city! As soon as we walked in, Sierra greeted us with a smile. Since it was our first time there, she introduced the store and all of their flavors and with details ready when asked. They have so many options and all sounded great so it was hard to choose. OMG what a fun popsicle shop!! So many yummy flavors and unique combinations of flavors. This charming little store was a fun stop in a summer day. The young lady behind the counter was SO SWEET and fun. She talked about every flavor and was patient while we were deciding. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but we were in today 6/5 around 3:30pm. I do hope she gets recognized. The flavors were fresh and bold. They would even dip in chocolate for you! We got strawberry lemonade, orange Creamsicle, Nutella, raspberry lemonade, and peanut butter cup dipped in chocolate. Every flavor was better than the next! We can't wait to come back and try more flavors. If I were to say one negative thing, there wasn't quite enough seating for everyone. It would be nice to have a few more chairs or benches inside. The Hyppo never disappoints!! I took some out of town friends to this location while they were in town, and we all absolutely loved it! The flavors we chose were: Keylime pie, Nutella, strawberry, and lavender, blueberry. All of them were absolutely amazing! I personally chose the Keylime pie, and it had the best lime flavor with a smidge of tartness, that was perfect. My daughter loved her strawberry and shockingly ate the entire thing (she's three, so this is a victory). This was the first time we've ever enjoyed our Popsicles indoors, and they have this location separated into cute little rooms! The paintings on the walls are very unique and go with the whole popsicle motif! Can't wait to come back and try more flavors read more

My husband and I were visiting his dad in St Augustine and we decided to explore Down Town and we came across The Hyppo. It was pretty warm outside and so we needed a little pick me up, the team is super friendly and we learned about one of their flavors Datil pepper cheesecake, I've never heard about the Datil pepper but it's supposed to be a local pepper, my mother in law loves to make hot sauces with them. I ended up getting the strawberry lemonade and Bry got the espresso horchata, their flavors vary depending on season so you might be getting something different from ours. My strawberry lemonade was so refreshing, it was really hot at the time and definitely needed a cool down, Bry's was nice and creamy he loved it. The Hyppo is a perfect example of a business charging a premium for a superior product, that is absolutely worth every penny! I have no idea how much time or money they spend on research and development, but it is either substantial or their popsicle chefs are just insanely gifted at coming up with beautifully balanced and creative flavor combinations. Of course, not all of the flavor combinations are brilliant and inspired. Some are just classics. And I would like to point out one important thing in this review. The choices at The Hyppo are overwhelming. Full stop. There is almost no good way for a first timer to make a selection. Sure, there are a few free samples available to taste. But how on earth can anyone be expected to choose. What my group decided to do was to ask the clerk. My friend asked, "Which flavor is the most popular. " Without hesitation the young man said, Strawberry Lemonade. But I suggested to my friend that perhaps this wasn't the best question, so I followed up asking about what his personal favorites were, and that is how we found the Blackberry Goat Cheese. Great places will always have to have crowd favorites to satisfy the masses. However, The Hyppo clearly has a passion for more complexities than the general public might accept. As a fan of middle eastern inspired sweets, I was compelled to order the Pistachio Rosewater. It was fantastic! As was the Blackberry Goat Cheese. I'm sure the Strawberry Lemonade was also delicious. Still, when you are paying a pretty penny for a popsicle, it's prudent to procure a phenomenal one. Go for the gusto. Get out of your comfort zone. Try something new with an open mind, and be rewarded. The Hyppo knows what they are doing, and I look forward to many returns to try my way through more of their popsicle palette. read more
