The Hyppo is easily one of my favorite places to stop in beautiful St. Augustine. Located in the center of the tourist trap that is St. George Street, it's easily accessible during your trip here. Service is always kind and typically pretty quick so long as those in front of you have a good idea of what they'd like to order. Choices range from dairy-based pops to fruit juice popsicles perfect for a sweltering summer afternoon. My personal recommendation is the peanut butter pie pop. While exploring the St Augustine area we came across Hyppo. Definitely a unique type of dessert pops with a huge selection of flavors to choose from. We decided on guava cheesecake and blueberry lavender lemonade. The two were complete opposites. One tart and the other thick and creamy. A good spot to check out if in the area as they are open later then most dessert shops. The inside of the shop has cute paintings all over the walls about the history of the store. For their posicles they offer good variety of flavors and we tried their honey honeydue, honestly this is my less favorite flavors. Honeydue is sweet already so imagine it with honey, it is super sweet for me. I pick the chocolate seasalt and I really like it. Its a little bit sweet and salty. I went for a drive to St. Augustine, FL to my absolutely favorite Popsicle place "The Hyppo Ice Pops" to get my favorite "Datil Pepper Cheesecake" & "Mango Habanero" Ice Pops, they're so good, I had 5! They have so many good flavors and this is one of my favorite places for desserts. Datil Pepper only grows in St. Augustine due to the great weather. Known as being hotter than a jalapeño, similar to a habanero and yet nowhere near a ghost pepper. The Datil has been known to pack a mighty punch with its golden yellow (sometimes red or orange) hue and semi-sweet and fruity flavor. read more
