My local Walgreens constantly surprises me with its selection of health and beauty products. I find a mix of more organic brands (Alba and Burt's Bees) with more traditional brands (Ponds and Nivea). The cosmetics are usually well stocked. The store always looks clean. Many people shop here on a regular basis. Expect longer waits in line. The staff seems friendly. read more

Most incompetent pharmacy I've encountered yet. Filling out a simple prescription is a battle. And God forbid, a customer would dare to disturb their lazy asses with a phone call! They will keep you on hold for 10 minutes at a time that grab the phone and immediately hang up on you. If you attempt to shop in person, bring your favorite book. You'll finish half the volume by the time they help the one customer in front of you. read more

This Walgreens almost always has had long lines at registers when I have shopped here. It's a smaller Walgreens that doesn't carry all the items that I have found at others in the area. The pharmacy is very sloppy about their lunch hour signage. On one sign where people line up it says lunch is from 1:00 to 2:00. They have another sign on the garage door that says lunch is from 1;30 to 2:30. On line the lunch hour is listed as 1:00 to 2:00. Several times now I have been over there and had to wait a half an hour for the pharmacy to open during times when signage said they were open. Frail and elderly people in line with me. One outspoken person brought the sign discrepancy to the attention of a pharmacy technician and all she could say was "we get an hour for lunch". Heard her say that at least twice and I think three times. The issue not being that they deserve their lunch break.Of course they deserve to eat. Finally after a barrage of people telling her that it needs to be corrected did she say that they would change the sign. Poor customer service. Change the hours on line! Frail and elderly folks have enough to deal with! Also, I was in Walgreens at South Shore earlier in the day and the line was quite long. Obviously these pharmacists and technicians are very, very busy. They need assistance. read more

This is a fairly typical Walgreens. This one feels a tad more disorganized than some, and I prefer the one at Southshore because its a little nicer and cleaner. The service checking out can be a bit slow, which is not uncommon at Walgreens. Overall, though, it is decent. read more

This is in particular regarding their incompetent photo staff. The imemories feature that they advertise is a complete ripoff. I transferred one video tape to a blue ray dvd, under 1 hour, for almost 40 dollars. There are many other less expensive options and the quality must be much better. The packaging was cheesy and the service was also terrible. I waited 5 weeks for it to be completed. I also experienced inferior quality attempting to make phot books at this location and at South Shore Walgreens. In both cases, the book turned out terrible and did not last a month as they began to fall apart. Here's the best--when I contacted headquarters/corporate offices, they ignored me! So, my family just moved to the area from the East Coast. And before you know it, my 2 year old developed a nasty ear infection. Tired and with a sick one in my arm, I went to the corner Walgreens to pick up my daughter's antibiotics. There was nothing ready. It was late and I didn't know what to do. That is when we met the head pharmacist, Dr. Peter Kim. He walked over to the counter seeing that I was in a bit of a panic and asked his staff what seemed to be the problem. Thinking I would have to wait til the next day, he asked me for my daughter's doctors's name and asked me to give him a few minutes while he made a few calls. He then inquired about my daughter's eyes which had become a bit irritated and red since our morning md visit. So, I sat there with my daughter on a very busy night. Within a few minutes, he called our name and told us our meds were ready. AMAZING! He not only took it upon himself to call her dr to get her ear infection med, he said that he thought she might be developing pink eye and asked her pedi dr to prescribe some eye drops given what he saw as he explained to me that they often come together. To make things a bit more complicated, I left my insurance card at home. But willing to pay for the med to get home ASAP from a long day, he asked me the name of our insurance we had and had his staff call them to get the info. WOW ! On top of this, we get a call from him a 2 days later asking how my daughter was doing and if we had any more questions. REALLY ?? My husband and I were simply blown away with the level of care he and staff provide. I have never received a "follow up" call with any pharmacies or doctors' offices sadly ;(. This is definitely not your typical chain pharmacy. I can't say enough about our experience. The pharmacy gets an A+++. You won our hearts and we know where we will get our family's meds from now on. read more

Pharmacy staff gets 5 stars. I called in to the pharmacy to see if my doctor had sent in a prescription yet. The answer was no and I was a little stressed as I have to start this medication today! The pharmacist took over and called my doctor, got the prescription and called me back within 10 minutes. Great service! Way above and beyond what I expected and now I'm much less stressed out today. read more

The most worst staff ever at the photo passport center I had came here before to get my picture taken so I can renew my passport and this Latin women comes and take me and my kids picture I can tell that she didn't knew what she was doing I mean do they even train them how to take pictures this is something serious and I was in a rush to get my passport pictures then I went to the post office and the lady said it's really bad it's not even in the middle nor did the angle the camera correctly today I came in a did it again the lady told me at the post office that it's a very bad image for Walgreens to make such a mistake like this and that I have a right to be mad if not even make them pay for what they have done bad service never come and get your passport pictures taken here! Then the lady told me that if the picture isn't right to just come back and get my refund that it's probably because of my hijab well it's not my fault your aren't trained makes me feel violated and not welcome when I was there. read more

The machines are fast, convenient, and never rude, none of which describes this particular Walgreens. I don't mind waiting in line, but I do mind being bounced from one line to another only to go back to the original location. i went to walgreens today to buy a formula for my baby. unfortunately it took 30 minutes before somebody to open the locked case when i asked the lady that worked there for some help. to make it worst, the coupon i have didnt work and it took longer for me to get out of there. the employees lacks customer service and are not very friendly nor helpful. even though, staffs there see that you need help but ignores you anyways. in short i will never go to that store again. read more

Completely incompetent. I needed a maintenance drug and after two weeks, and multiple promises that the drug would be there the next day, I was finally told the drug has been discontinued. BS! I came in Walgreens on 11/1/17 to buy cases of bottle water and notice Aquafina waters are all out of stock. I see a manager but didnt get his name @about 4pm (tall white mananger) and kindly ask if they had more in the back, he responded quickly said, " water are all out on the shelves", so I told him there are no more can you pls check the back...he reply "no more" without checking. Before I asked him for assistance he was just standing putting prices on items on the shelf. He didnt bother to check...so I asked another employee "Marcus" (young blk male) can he please check to see...long and behold he brought out 2 cases for me, GREAT JOB MARCUS!!! MANAGEMENT... please take the time and help customers since they are spending money on your store. It's plain lazy ass people who could have 5 steps to the back to see if water was stock in the back....especially a manager! Why are you there? Your suppose to manage shit right? Pulled into the drive-through at 5:02pm. Didn't get to drive away until 5:22pm. When I pulled into the drive-through, there was one car ahead. Having had a previously bad experience, I waited to see an extended drawer and a prescription bag before pulling up. My mistake...still had to wait about nearly 10 minutes before the car in front left (trapped inline because a car pulled up behind, preventing me from getting out of line). After 10 minutes, I pull up to the window and the pharmacist WALKED AWAY. I tried calling the intercom (no response), briefly honked the horn just once (no response), tried calling the pharmacy line at the store to let them know I was there (no response). In what world is this ok?? If Walgreen's cannot staff the drive through, put out a "closed" sign until staffing permits both the drive-through and the counter. This is absolutely unacceptable and negates the drive-through value entirely. What other company out there requires a 20 minute drive-through experience??! read more

I use to like combing to this location..until on the 18th I came in to buy an outside chair for the outdoors and I was waiting in line by this sign that says to wait...so I waited and the register person named Mich rang up the young lady in front of me and she moved to the side..so I come walking up because he keeps looking at me..then when I get up to the counter he has the nerve to tell me that I should wait for the other person to leave for privacy reasons..mind you I am in my security uniform and I am a certified security specialist and I do know the law...so I informed him that if it was for privacy it would be at the pharmacy or at a medical hospital in which they do that....The stuff she bought is on the shelves so any one can buy them???Will not buy here ever again..there is to many other stores..and I will make sure all the people I know not to shop at this location...south shore store is way more professional!!! read more

Without realizing I arrived at this store 5 minutes before closing. As I was walking in I heard an announcement that "the store will be closing in 5 minutes" There were several other people in the store. I only had 3 things to pick up so I grabbed them in under a minute and headed to the front and waited to be checked out. During those three minutes, Ralph, the clerk, made the same announcement approximately 18 times. He did it while "helping" customers, really, instead of helping customers. Even his co-worker (who turned out to be the shift manager, Phat) said "Are you going to announce that every minute?" Normally I'd just ignore something like this, but he was way over the top. I calmly said that making an announcement that many times is oppressive. He argued about it, for the entire time he was checking me out (it is still before closing, mind you.) Finally I said, "I was just letting you know and arguing about it is really obnoxious." He replied, as I walked out the door, "Well, customers coming in at the last minute is obnoxious." I walked back in and returned everything. He was *still* arguing, saying it was after closing...by that point it was: 10:01. Jerk. I'll never go here again and I hope you won't either. read more
