employee playing on her phone while on duty inside

Very poor customer service. Multiple customers rang for assistance and waited with no response. An employee was standing nearby on her phone while on duty and did not proactively help anyone. We eventually approached her directly and asked for help. She immediately said the item was "out of stock" without checking inventory or attempting to assist. The Lego set we were asking about was clearly visible, locked inside the shelf. This was frustrating and felt dismissive. If items are locked and customers need assistance, employees should be willing to help and at least verify availability instead of brushing people off. We ended up visiting the target store in Hayward.

Alameda Target so very clean and excellent employees. I walked in I'm greeted by security. I look around so very clean and smelled fresh. Everything on my list was there. My 22 year old wants children items for her Christmas. That's alright with me. We should all enjoy being a child some days. Keeps us young.

In Plain view of an empty box of a Stolen figure. They'll lock up the ink for printers but not for the collectible figures.

Is it a normal thing for ISP Security to follow a customer around a department as they, the customer, looks at stuff through different aisles, behind boxes looking for something. Why have the cameras above the aisles if your contracted Security is going to be stalking the "guests" of Target.

Self check-out wrapped all the way around almost to the exit

Get me out of here. When you have 20 people in line at every register and at least 30 at the self check-out, for Pete's sake, open the register at Guest Services! Had there been a line at Guest Services, I'd understand why they couldn't have two cashiers handling the overflow but no one was over there, just two employees chatting. That was my cue to walk over and ask them to ring me up. I felt 50 eyes on me wondering how I finessed a speedy getaway. All you have to do .. is ask nicely.

Hotwheels selection was horrible I've seen the same cars my last 6 visits. I've only seen very few good restocks.

This store is like a museum -- only better, because everything is for sale!…read more The Mr. and I searched high and low for a dining table and chairs for our Craftsman home. It was a tiresome, fruitless journey from one dusty antique store to another, on both sides of the Bay. I will admit that I was surreptitiously eyeing Restoration Hardware catalogs toward the end there, thinking, "Well, maybe this fake French apple cart table is as good as it gets." Dark days, my friends. Walking into California Historical Design, you're surrounded by a stunning collection of Arts and Crafts furniture and decor. No glossy reproductions or faux crackle. The real deal. This is not a bargain hunter's paradise, but we are beyond pleased with the dining room table and chairs we bought. I think they're a good investment -- in my happiness, certainly, and probably financially as well. And they're just lovely. And now people can eat dinner at my house without having to balance a plate on their lap. Gus, the owner, is passionate about his merchandise and the people who built it. He shares information happily, making trips to his store really fun. He's also meticulous about the pieces, delivers for free(!), and keeps a consistently-updated website with photos of all his merchandise. He's a true professional, and that's reflected in the beauty of his merchandise and the rapport he has with his customers. If you're looking for jaw-dropping furniture or an amazing art piece for your home, you have to come here. PS, We had trouble finding this place, because the Yelp reviews were not SEO optimized. OH, how I wish I'd discovered it sooner! So let me just say this: Craftsman furniture, vintage furniture, antique furniture, Craftsman dining table, Craftsman chairs, Stickley, Roseville pottery, Craftsman tile, Dirk van Erp, Arts and Crafts. Amen.

I don't blow my money, so I come sometimes and don't even buy anything. There is just so many different types of things and food and drinks and jewelry that you may find something you didn't even know you needed. The snacks and food options are amazing. Kooky international cookies and sweet and random flavors of foods and drinks, it's just a wonderland of cool random things. The prices can be ridiculous so you have to choose wisely. Sometimes the staff can be a little absent, meaning they don't really seem like they want to interact with us. I get it, retail sucks. And not every one of them is distant, there are some real gems in there too. I just love this place and I hope it doesn't succumb to rent hikes or loss of sales and it disappears.

Wow, this is the best World Market I've ever been to. Who would've known! I stopped by this past…read moreweekend and was impressed by the massive size of both the parking lot and inside of the store. The whole place was clean and organized, and the shelves were stocked full of awesome and unique products on a Saturday morning. I picked up some laceys almond & dark chocolate toffee wafer cookies, sonoma creamery parmesan and cheddar crisps, and keogh's irish potato chips with real irish butter. And after browsing all of the easter-themed goodies, I couldn't resist getting a bag of kitkat bunnies as well. A worker saw my arms full and offered to get me a basket (he ran all the way to the front of the store and back). The care and effort shown was definitely appreciated. Customer service altogether was outstanding. I was greeted with a smile at entry, checked on multiple times by different employees while shopping, and my transaction at the purchase counter was quick and easy, with two employees opening up additional registers as they saw a line forming. I usually have a positive experience at World Market regardless of location, but based on my recent visit the Oakland store is superior in every way!
