My telemedicine appointment with a doctor I've seen for years, for a prescription I've taken for years, isn't good enough. They want me to fly to San Diego to be in the same physical room with him before I can have it filled. I have to look for a more modern pharmacy, perhaps one that offers delivery via carrier pigeon.

Also, they answer the phone when you call! I can't tell you how many times I called our old pharmacy (starts with W) and waited on hold for 20-30 minutes only to have them hang up on you (so frustrating). Service is always prompt, I have hardly ever had to wait in line, and if you have to wait for a prescription you can grab a coffee and/or do some marketing. I frequently get 20% off Safeway coupons after I checkout at the pharmacy (so be sure to grab your medications before you checkout for grocery shopping).

First thing I noticed.....there's no carts or shopping baskets. I looked around and didn't see any. I asked the cashier, and she said if you don't see any, then there must be none. She said I have to carry things in my hands. You know, that limits how much I can buy, and lowers the store's sales. I found my jug of milk and ice cream. I stood in line, and a customer ahead of me had the only shopping basket in the store. The thoughtful cashier offered it to me, so I could buy more stuff. Turns out they didn't even have one in stock. I can't confirm, but it feels like they slow walked the whole thing hoping they could get one in for me to purchase. My doc was out of the office on a Friday, so I asked them to send me a copy so I could take the prescription somewhere else. First they told me they couldn't give me a copy as it was some kind of problem for me to have my own prescription from my own doctor. It is not a HIPPA violation, and I told them so. They told me a boss had to make that decision, and they would be in later. I called back when I didn't hear from them, and they promised they would email it to me. That of course never happened.
