Came here for propane. Paid 66 dollars for it at 339pm today. Waited 45 mins out front, the very lovely cashier called multiple times for her manager to come open the tank. I then called the store and Jessica answered who claimed to be the manager. I told her I was waiting for 30 mins for her to come open the propane tank. She apologized and said she would be right out. 10 mins later a man came out saying he was on his break, so he must of been the actual manager. Kinda ridiculous to have to sit and wait 45 mins for a propane take because the manager is unreachable. Take your break all for it, but allow another employee access to help the customers. Hi, I'd like to transfer my prescriptions to another local pharmacy. Not only are the technicians at my local Walgreens ambiguously rude, and tactful at riding the line between offensive and confusing, every single refill gets delayed or rejected. So today, after another delayed refill I called the pharmacy to ask for some details. I was on hold for 45 minutes, in which the line rang and was put back on hold 27 times. The service here sucks pretty bad. I can vouch for a selective few employees whom never disappointed me. Although, most of them are pretty careless. Their Photo center sucks too! They lack professionalism, and they need to train their employees to be more attentive to customers needs. This location will soon stop being my go-to Walgreens for pretty much everything. read more

This review is for their pharmacy Went here for some prescription drugs - I had kaiser and thought it would cover the cost but nope, darn it Kaiser! Anyway the doctor told me about the awesome benefit of being a AAA insured member, we get 10-20% off drugs! That's awesome I never knew that. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, went back again cause Kaiser was closed and the medicine would be 80+ for antibiotics but they cut the price in half by recommending lower dosage so it'll save me money! Terrible service yesterday evening. I stood in line for five minutes at the front to refill my daughter's Clipper card, and when I get to the register the clerk very blandly and unapologetically pointed to the photo department to let me know I had to refill there. There were more customers in front of me there as well. I told the clerk there they should put signs up letting customers know where to refill. He said they had signs in front. I typically go to another Walgreens where customers can refill at the main register. I mentioned to the clerk at the photo shop that I was getting in line for the second time. He made no contact, no comment, no apology. He was cold and horrible. Please come out of the back office and re-train your employees or get rid of them! didn't have to get a subscription here or anything. got something off the shelf for constipation problems. (related to surgery?) dulcolax was luckily on sale (5.99 not 8.49), recommended by doc. dulcolax is a stool softener and helps relieves constipation. the night before, nothing would come out though the liquid was abundant flowing, the solids was stuck. in desperation, i ate kinds of fibre, yam, watermelon, drank lots of water, and ate 2 vials of yogurt. soon after, the s.... came out, but it was painful. of course, the dulcolax is a last ditch remedy. of course, i need to get more froyo. oh, the people were pleasant here... read more

I am a huge fan of the Pharmacy - very easy to drop off a prescription, friendly and polite. It is nice to be greeted with a smile and someone that is happy. The storeitself is not impressive, it is always thrashed, and employees have a careless attitude and unfriendly. This store is one of the first things you see when you come out of the tube on Webster.... the outside is pleasant but the inside is not. More bad music, more waiting, then someone picks up the phone. And HANGS UP. I call back. Same process. I call back and talk to a manager. Reconsider before going to this pharmacy. I had my prescription here on Monday and they told me to pick up my medicine at night. Back at night and they said tomorrow. Back in the following tomorrow and they gave me 1/3 of my medicine with a promise that next week i would have the rest. Came back on the day i was asked to and they said they didn't have it and PROMISED me they would have it the following day. And yes im back on the next day, they checked and told me that I had picked up my medicine somewhere else and they needed to check with my insurance first. What da hell???!!! That has been the entire month and i just had 1/3 of my medicine which was NOT enough. I had an argument with them on the same day and i came up to the store manager. Then the pharmacist called me back and gave me my medicine (which they had claimed before that they didnt have). I will never recommend this store for anyone except someone who really wanna learn how to control their temper. I would rate this drug store ZERO star but unfortunately i cant. In general I find the employees at this Walgreens branch to be helpful, and the selection of products have been reasonable, so it's unfortunate that I'm compelled to leave a "1" rating. Today, a female employee standing near me (found out her name is "Pat"; has silver hair and glasses), stated to another employee that [person's name being discussed] should "go back to the country they came from" (among other mean things), and "learn to speak English or leave". I'm all for free speech and again, their products are OK, but this is a place of business and an employee isn't supposed to be standing around stereotyping and insulting entire groups of people. I use to love this Walgreens, I would go out of my way to go to this one. But as of right now they have lost my vote all together. I went in the other day and was going to do some major shopping but of course I'm old and the first thing I need to do is go to the bathroom. So I ask the guy up front, he says to me we don't let anyone use the bathroom after 5 o'clock now. Well I just turned around and walked out, I mean really if that's the case remove the big sign that says restrooms up top. That would solve all there problem. But I'm sorry I'm old and the bladder does not wait for nothing. It made me so mad I didn't get anything and was mad all nigh. The parking lot is considerably big for this Walgreens, which can make things easier because I don't have to wait around waiting for a car to leave. This particular Walgreens unfortunately is not open 24-hours, so you'd have to hike over to the Walgreens on Shoreline (in front of Safeway) if you need something at 3:30am. If it's busy, there can be somewhat of a long line, and for some reason either there aren't enough cashiers or they refuse to open a new register to ease the line. Their pharmacists are decent, not rude but not super nice (like the Walgreens on E14th in San Leandro). Just like the 3-star rating....eh it's ok. read more

Walgreens is one of my new favorite stores, they have everything you would need. The pharmacy at this location is good, I call ahead, and if they do not have it they get it from another location. However, otherwise, service here is horrible. There is one particular rep who is just always in a horrible mood. He is rude, never greets the customer, and basically acts like he owns the store. If the location was not that convenient, I would completely avoid it. They also did no have bathrobes and were out of the lotion I was looking for. read more

Very long lines for really no good reason. Parking can be a huge hassle, and for some reason the photo area, long a strong selling point of this place, has now resorted to claim checks. Rarely do I witnessed such an incompetent pharmacy. After waiting 30 minutes at the pharmacy drive-through and after being told they had my medications ready, when I finally got served the man told me to come back in 20 minutes because he needed time to prepare my medication. Fair enough. I came back 55 minutes later and he still did not have my medications ready. Two medications! Not complicated. Insurance also not complicated. He Did not understand that he had the medication, and so tossed the order only to have his assistant tell him they did have the order. He was distracted as well left and right, and spent time translating Chinese to a woman for 30 more minutes! Finally, his coworker put the order together. 90 minutes later from the time he originally served me, I finally had my two medications, no thanks to him! read more

Walgreens has provided the neighborhood with an Electric Charger for cars in a prominent parking spot. This is awesome (when lowly BMW drivers aren't illegally parked in the spot, Yeah! you know who are. Punk!) I get my precriptions, chocolate, toothpaste and a charge for my car all in one visit. Floor staff needs some customer service training. If you need razor blade refills that are in the locked cabinet bring a book or a video game for the wait. Also be prepared to ask at least three people to help you out before someone actually gets the key. On the other hand the guy working the pharmacy a few saturdays ago was a life saver. I had some new prescriptions that I needed picked up and i was out of town. They were called in on Friday, but when my wife went to get them they wouldn't take my credit card over the phone. So I called in saturday to explain the situation and the guy working said sure, no problem send her over. She went over and he took care of it. So thanks to the one employee there that knows how to treat customers. I give you 5 stars. read more

Been going to this Walgreens for years. The pharmacists are awesome No complaints. They are always helpful. Sometimes the line is long, but you can't expect them to rush - what they do is life and death and you can't be rushing when prepping people's prescriptions. I feel like if it is not one thing with this place it is another. I had a real problem with their photo lab. I ordered prints online and went to pick them up and was told that the machine was not working. The machine had apparently been broken even before I had ordered my pictures and I was not contacted. I was told that the part they needed would be in my the next day and my pictures would them be done. I came by the next day and the machine was still broken. No one had told me again. They said that they did not know when the part would be coming in. At this point I was frustrated because I had told them that I needed these for a present and could have easily gotten them printed some where else. I then told them to cancel my order, I would get it done at another place. Weeks go by and then I keep getting calls saying that the prints I canceled were ready. I know it is a chain so customer service is not going to be a big thing, but argh. I haven't been a big fan of their pharmacy either. read more

Having recently moved to Alameda, I was happy to see a big, clean Walgreens right around the corner from home. BAH! I need to have a patch prescription refilled every month. It is a controlled substance, or I would have it filled via mail. So, for the third month in a row, they have messed up this script. The script is for something that needs to be special ordered, so I expected an issue the first month. They had to order it. It didn't come in. I called and they had to order it again, and it didn't come in. They finally sent me to the Walgreens on Park, where they had called it over in advance. Okay, fine. We had a laugh, and they agreed that they would now plan to stock it, since I was going to be needing it every month. Month two: same problem. Had to order it. They sent me an email telling me they had to order it. I finally went in a few days later, and lo and behold, it had arrived, and they put it in inventory! No phone call. No follow up. The clerk was surprised that it was in inventory, but sold it to me with an apology. We are now on month three. I turned in the script over a week ago, and was told they would have to special order it. It's been a week. I go in to check, and guess what? It's in. It's on the shelf - ready to sell to someone else!!!! You know what they say... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Yep... third time is the charm. I am going to pick up my prescription and take it anywhere by a Walgreens! read more

The 5 star is SOLELY for the resident PHARMACIST there, just moved here to Alameda and already filled two of my medication here, both times, the pharmacist went out of his way to help me, and as my husband commented, he really cares about the patients/customer. Brought in my prescription when I was completely out, he asked if I needed some in the meantime to tie me over until he sorted out my prescription transfer. Come on, my pharmacist in NY never offered that, EVER. He called my doctor and even when my doctor (ex-doctor) was being really unresponsive and called me back within the time frame specified. When it was my turn, I pulled up and angrily told the worker how could he let her monopolize this drive thru window as there is only one while others are waiting?!
