They served me cold veggies and chicken When I go back to get it exchanged the guy comes back and says cuz I ate half of the chicken he can't give me a new bowl I say ok give me a kids bowl that should be same as what I left he comes back with a small styrofoam cup full of veggies only, i literally grabbed a carrot from my original bowl and touched it to his hand so he can see how cold it was, even if there wasn't the full amount of my chicken I still drove away drove back my gas and mileage n time... and was out my lunch money for the day n half a lunch. read more

I have been to many Waba Grill locations and I have yet to experience great customer service like this. I enjoyed eating my chicken teriyaki bowl. Often times i was asked if my food was ok while I was eating. The customer service was so good I decided to take 3 bowls to go. I think the persons name was Ayram, she provided me with great customer service and that is key for me in every restaurant whether its dine in or fast foods. I came into this waba grill today around 8. The cashier was at first nice but after she just seemed to rush me and for it being my first time here. She really didn't try to upsale anything or let me know what I should try. She just seemed to focused on closing. I ordered a salmon plate and a waba plate they made the waba plate first eventho the salmon needed time to cook since it was raw. So my waba plate was cold by the time I got home and ate it. After moving to the IE I decided to figure out what all the hype was about compared to Flame Broiler. I'd say there's some pros and cons to each. Unlike Flame Broiler, the meat here is rather flavorless and needs the Waba Sauce as its saving grace. The veggies are also flavorless and over boiled. They just don't taste as fresh as Flame Broilers which is weird because I'm willing to bet they're both pre-frozen. Waba Grill does have bigger portions however, and they offer salmon. Overall, I probably wouldn't shoppe to eat here on my own. read more

First timer here. Tried the "steak" and veggie bowl. The meat was chopped into tiny bits and cooked far past well done in teriyaki sauce.. It was dry and very, very sweet. The veggies (carrot, broccoli, and cabbage) were hardly cooked at all and lacked any seasoning. The brown rice was good. No add-on condiments available at all except for Louisiana pepper sauce, and the house sauce. which is Louisiana pepper sauce plus soy sauce for texture.. Nothing special here. read more

Must have been a new management or corporate change recently. All the teriyaki, Louisiana hot sauce, and Waba Hot Sauce dispensers are gone, and you get little packets with your order. I had lunch here with friends after completing our hike. This was my very first time here. Usually when i think of healthy food I think about unseasoned food, that taste like cardboard because of all the zero calories this or non fat that. The food here is actually packed with flavor. I had got the chicken and veggie bowl. My friend told me to make sure I requested white meat because otherwise you will get this chewy tasting meat. Oh and whatever you do... make sure you add avocado. The atmosphere is relaxing. They play good music at a good sound level. Everything was clean and neatly placed. Just came to order and was super friendly with the girl taking my order but she was very rude and unprofessional. I ask if they put veggies in the bowl (not knowing because I don't come often) and she rudely replies with "No that's why I asked if you wanted rice" as if I was supposed to know. Great prices and food. We are fans of Flamebroiler and WaBa is very similar and just as good! We got a chicken plate and a shrimp veggie bowl and two 22 oz drinks for $18.32. Love Waba Grill! Great food fast. Salmon veggie bowl with brown rice is my favorite! The half-and-half bowl is good too. My kids love the child's sized meals as well. A bit pricy for fast food (avg. $7 a bowl) but I usually get 2 meals out of 1 bowl (1/2 for dinner & 1/2 for lunch). Their nutrition menu is available on the internet & the bowls are reasonable, calorie wise. I like the option of no sauce & you can add your own after. The food is always hot & made to order. Let me tell all you all this place is by far the best Waba Grill that I have ever been to. I walked in and Jessica was the best part of my experience. I brought my own avocado and she cut it for me. I am on a restriction on what I can eat and she went above and beyond the call of her job. I have not eaten the food yet but that will come later. Jessica deserves props for her fantastic customer skills. I just moved to this area a couple months ago and so far my experience has not been the best but because of her kindness I actually see this whole town in a new prospective. I gave this place 3 stars because I enjoy their food. What I don't like is their customer service. I ordered kids meals and you get an option of a fountain drink or apple juice. My kids do not drink soda and they were out of apple juice. I asked for a water bottle instead and was told I could either pay extra for milk or pay full price for the water bottles. Because they ran out of apple juice I feel they should've made accommodations due to my children not drinking fountain drinks. read more

We've been frequenting WABA for several years now (originally Chino)... after moving to Upland this location became our go-to WABA location. Well little by little it has disappointed us... third time over the past couple weeks that the order is incorrect no sauce, please... pay attention, please... That's 3 bowls that have to be thrown away or given away. The attitude this evening didn't help (cashier). Soy sauce and condiments area is dirty and sticky from spilled sauce. I told the cashier I would like new packets, she grabbed a few from the condiment bag and threw them in my bag (super sticky and dirty)....once home my son noted his bowl was lacking rice... very little rice. I waited probably 20 minutes or more as other customers were being served until I was told itd be refunded in 2-3 business days. Worst WaBa grill I've been too! The chicken was super dry and had no teriyaki or WaBa sauce in it at all , which I hadn't seen until I got home. To top it off we got four little packets of WaBa sauce or teriyaki for our four chicken bowls. You can imagine how dry everything was. I love waba but the workers in this waba are rude. How hard is it to make fresh food? My boyfriend got us 2 beef bowls and we sat in the car to eat them. Anyway the beef tasted burnt and not fresh. He went back in and they didn't even offer to make it fresh all this cashier said was that all the beef is the same!No I'm pretty sure not all the meat is burned!!We are not paying for food that doesn't taste good and isn't fresh!!
