This was an INCREDIBLE meal! Massive portions, delicious hotpot, and so many options. From vegetarian, pescatarian, or beef broths (with so many flavor profiles to choose from) to all of the add-ins, we were so blown away by this local gem. And, the prices were so reasonable. Diem made great recommendations and treated us to some wonderful appetizers and we cannot wait to be back!!

Unexpectedly delicious. For $12.99 with a free tea or $3 to upgrade your tea! You get 1 free dumpling in your soup but you can add more (unless you choose the dumplings topping option). Service was great, they explained how to order and came around to offer more rice. Love that it is local and very affordable for the high schoolers as well.

Inside the bao bun. Not sure but I think it was vegetables inside. Soft and fluffy with a nice crunchy bottom.

Customer Service is top tier! Saja and the other lady were very accommodating, patient, and kind. The place is cute, there's a TV on the wall running loops of food and customer photos. Plenty of seating, Place your order at the register and then wait to be seated. Upon being shown to my table, they serve appetizers consisting of a vegetable Bao Bun and a Chicken Dumpling with sesame and sweet chili sauce for dipping. The dumpling had a good crunch on the bottom but the top portion of the dumpling wrapper was really hard and waxy/plastic tasting. Hard to explain, but basically they tasted like they were probably fried hours ago and kept under a heat lamp. Score: 6/10 The bun was delicious. Not sure if it was vegetables inside, but nothing noticeable. The bun was so soft and fluffy, I really liked it. Score: 8/10 On the table they provide you with 3 sauces for dipping your hotpot ingredients into--which included a sour garlic sauce, a garlic chili sauce, and a soy vinegar sauce. Wish they offered green onions, but nevertheless, mixing all three together turned out to be a very flavorful sauce. I ordered the Mala and Satay combination broth with chicken and cabbage dumplings and choice of glass noodles. My protein was beef. My hotpot was so delicious. The combo of mala and satay broths were fire and I would order it again except with less mala broth and more satay broth, and also probably add veggies. Beware that mala broth is very spicy. I was picking out pieces of red chili for days cuz I didn't want to take the chance on biting down on one of them. The beef was superb. It was sliced thinly and it just melted in my mouth. Score: 9/10 I really enjoyed the glass noodles in the soup. I'm used to ramen noodles and this was a nice change. The texture of the noodles were perfectly chewy. Since I had so much broth leftover I ordered more glass noodles to go and they were also so nice to give me a full container of satay broth on the house to take home, so that I could try to cool down the spiciness a little. For my drink I chose the caramel cinnamon milk tea. The milk teas are made with nondairy creamer which was perfect for my lactose intolerant self. It was very tasty and perfectly sweet. A little honey boba added would have set it over the top. Score: 7.5/10 What I really like about this hotpot spot is that everything is customizable from the soup broth, the noodles, the meats and veggies. They have a Vegetable Hotpot for the vegetarians. What I love most is that I can get a small app, a choice of drink, and an entree all for about $15-$16 dollars.

First time here and it was amazing. We tried the Coconut milk broth with beef dumplings and noodles, satay with sweet fire and beef and miso with dumplings, noodles and turkey sausage and they all were amazing. The food came out so fast and perfect. The entire staff was the so friendly and nice. The whole experience was great. The place was clean and quiet. We will definitely be returning and trying more.

This is an extension of Tpumps but they specialize in hot pot. Similar to the concept of boiling point, they offer a variety of soup bases like miso, satay, etc. you can also upgrade your drinks with a Tpumps drink as well. The pots come with a side of rice. The service is always so friendly here. They often bring out some complementary appetizers as well for you to try. You pick your food at the front and pay then get seated and the food comes out pretty quick. I personally always go for the satay beef option. It's flavorful and comes with an assortment of vegetables, meatballs, fish cakes, beef, etc.

One of my favorite places in the area. Very affordable prices, excellent customer service. Complimentary dumplings while waiting for food. Custom order your hot pot, you can mix the soups! My fav is the kimchi and satay , with satay toppings, add ramen noodles and chicken and veg dumpling. Best drink is the upgraded mango, peach, passion with non caffeinated tea , add boba. Thank me later. Crave this weekly.

One of the best place fo have lunch at! The hotpot and service at Sweet Fires is in its name - Fire !!!! Diem was super professional and she knows how to tend to people's needs. The other staffs were also always asking if they can do anything for you (free refill on rice btw). Pretty spacious and chill! Board games after food with friends is also fun!

You can't beat the price at this place. Generous portions and free drinks with the meal are a nice bonus. The restaurant was nice and cool inside, which was great in the heat. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However, I wasn't a fan of the shaved ice. It melted quickly and wasn't as good as I expected, but that may be because we built our own.

It's been 8 months since my last review & I've been back a few times since then. Every time the service has been BEYOND exceptional. They've even added a few more new offerings since the last time I was here. Not into fish cakes? They have dumplings now. They even have more soup base offerings including curry. I always have to get dessert and it's great too. They now have individual sizes so I had to try that too. It did not disappoint. Ambiance is nice and chill with TV's all around and music too. The staff here is very attentive as well so If you want good food with superb service, please don't hesitate to try this place out!

I wish I could give more stars! Service was outstanding! Food recommendations were excellent! Food was absolutely delicious! Ambiance was welcoming. Can't wait to go back!

I absolutely love this place! The staff are exceptional at what they do and always go above and beyond to ensure every customer has a great experience. They are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes me feel right at home every time I visit. I've even seen them bring out party hats and decorations to celebrate a customer's birthday, which really shows how much they care. I come here at least once a week for the curry. It's packed with flavor and reminds me of home. Be sure to try the sauces available at the table--they're delicious, especially on the dumplings. I've also tried the shaved ice, which is definitely on the sweeter side but still incredibly tasty. Every order comes with Tpumps, and who doesn't love that? The prices are very reasonable, especially for a warm, satisfying meal that still offers good nutritional value. They have a wide variety of toppings to choose from, with the Sweet Fires being my personal favorite. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. They have games available if you want to hang out with friends after your meal, and K-pop music videos are usually playing on the screens, which adds to the experience. The service is also impressively fast, so if you're hungry and looking for a great meal, I highly recommend stopping by.

Shaved ice design was very cute and a bit tasty

I came here for an afternoon outing and eating. I was lured here by the shaved ice dessert and ended up getting one of the hot pot entrees as well. The only thing that threw me off is that you have to order first before you sit down. Once you order, then you're seated. It's a minor thing that takes some getting used to. All of the portions and sizes are pretty generous. We really liked the broth from the hotpot and the noodles and meat were all pretty fresh and tasty. Also, the shaved ice was a nice portion, definitely too much for one person! Try a group of friends or a small family. Just be careful of the mix of flavors you order. We ended up getting the brown sugar, which overpowered the lavender and other flavors. Try not to balance your heavy flavors with the lighter ones when it's your turn to order. The other great draw is that there's plenty of games and entertainment while you wait. I really liked the small figurines and toys in the front that will help keep the attention of your little ones while you wait for your order. I will definitely come again when I get a chance. Try it out for yourself!

My family and I came to Sweet Fires to celebrate my cousin's birthday, since she requested something tasty that has dessert. This was one of the options I sent her, and the one we ended up going to. The are located in the same plaza as 24 Hour Fitness and Tpumps in Upland. There is plenty of parking in this plaza. I arrived first to get a table for our family of 7. The staff in front told me I could take this table in the corner, which was perfect. When they arrived, we ordered at the front and then headed to the table. The hot pots here are super affordable for only $12.99 for a hot pot AND drink. You pick a soup base, a topping base, a protein base, and have the option to pick add-ons. One recommendation for the business is to disclose what's in the base. When I asked what's in the sweet fires base, they said what's in the picture. Honestly I would be worried if I had food allergies, but good thing I don't. Also if it was already listed it would help with decision making, quicker ordering, not bugging staff with questions, etc. I had the Satay soup with the Sweet Fires topping base with pork. Most of us got that soup and toppings combination with different proteins. My aunts had the dashi soup with veggie toppings and tofu as their protein. The only pot we had issues with was my cousin who ordered the mala soup base. They said there was a funky smell and they thought it was inedible so they didn't eat. My nephew had one of their Pumpbo ($9.99) shaved ice and there was plenty for him to enjoy there and take most of it home. The food was average but what really stood out for us was the amazing service by their friendly staff. The owner or manager came out and greeted us and checked on us frequently. They gave us complimentary dumplings and turnip cakes. When they heard we were celebrating my cousin's birthday they even gave her their cold brew and this epic huge boba with all the toppings. She felt super special and I'm glad she enjoyed her birthday outing. It seems like the family enjoyed and we'll most likely be back... just no more mala for my other cousin who wanted to be adventurous.

It's really the most delicious spicy hot pot I'm eating in Los Angeles so far. It has two kinds of soup base: Beef Bone soup and Sweetie Tomato Soup. I like beef bone soup the most. There are five kinds of spiciness to choose from. My favorite is Crazy. I also occasionally eat Sweetie Tomato Soup. It's sweet and sour. I like it very much! I heard that the beef bone soup is really made of beef bones. 12.99/pound is the cheapest among these spicy hot pots! If you pay more than 20 before the tax, you will get a bowl of rice if you need. The rice is really delicious It tastes much better than my own steamed rice at home. The fried skewers are all in the refrigerator. You need to take them to the clerk by yourself. That chicken skewer and beef skewer are super delicious! That fried sweet potato strip is also delicious. Be sure to eat it while it's hot. It's super bad when it's cold.
