My friends and I stopped by yesterday for lunch and it was great! We liked the fact that they had options for one of my friends that has dietary restrictions. I got the mala broth with 12 dumplings (pork) and pork. It comes with tea which is great! I got the blueberry one. When we sat down, an appetizer of a bun and fried gyoza with 2 sauces was given to our table. When our food came, we were also given a side of rice! For $13?! Hell yeah! My friend was running low on rice and (Alex- I believe that's his name) asked if we all wanted more. The dumplings were BIG and yummy, broth was spicy (yummmm)! The kind, thorough service and great price is what will make me come back whenever I'm in the area. It's similar to Boiling Point where you pick your soup base and they provide you with a single-serving mini hotpot nestled on top of a burner--though our pots didn't contain any fuel underneath to keep the soup hot. I chose sukiyaki with lamb and was disappointed at first to only receive about 4 thinly sliced pieces of lamb, but considering the price and how full I felt after the meal, I'm not complaining anymore! Plus you get kimchi, potato salad, & inari for appetizers, a bowl of rice on the side, and a simple Tpumps drink. You really can't beat the value that you get from this place. The sukiyaki was very sweet and concentrated, and I'm actually glad that there wasn't a burner for my hotpot because the evaporation would've made the flavor even more intense. Ordered the following: - 1 veggie hot pot with beef = $12.99 / meal comes with boba too - 2 satay hot pot with beef = $25.98 / meal comes with boba too SUBTOTAL = $39.97 TAX = $3.02 OVERALL TOTAL = $41.99 We were also given some small appetizers which consisted of wasabi snacks, peanuts, kimchi, shrimp chips, and mac & cheese. AFFORABILITY!!! The hot pot is good for one person and also includes a boba drink! For the boba drink, you could either get the black or green tea and choose one topping. You can also choose sweet vs unsweet. When I initially asked for 25% sweet, the gentleman mentioned that they only offered 100% or 0% sweet, but he will accommodate/customize it for us (so nice!). I would recommend getting the satay hot pot instead of the veggie hot pot. I was under the impression that the 'veggie' is just the soup base and would get fish balls & imitation crab (I didn't). Towards the end we were given a small sample of their shaved ice (cherry), which was yummy! I love that each hotpot comes with a tea, I ordered the black milk tea which was yummy and they also gave some complimentary shaved ice after. You order first then get seated. The only downside I'd say is that they're not super generous with the toppings. I only received two slices of hard boiled egg instead of a full hard boiled egg, there were no tomato or carrots in the hotpot even though that's what was shown in the photo, and the meat in my partners hotpot also was just two slices.
