I was checking into some places for the Bacchus Badge. I caught a glimpse of Subway at the corner of my eyes. I normally don't eat Subway but I had a gift card with $1.30 balance. I thought I use it. After entering this Subway, I was greeted right away. Thank you! However, I wasn't helped until 5 to 8 mins later. There were only two people ahead of me. It appeared they also had an online order. There were only 3 employees working at the time. They appear to be new because they were asking their lead on how certain tasks were done. It's all good... that's how we learn! I've been in the same postion many blue moons ago. Anyway, it was my turn. Subway has introduced some new items based on their menu. They now have wraps, build your own sandwiches, and footlong desserts. I wanted the Tuna Sandwich, but didn't see it as an individual sandwich on the menu. It turns out that it's under the "build your own" sandwich. Good to know. I got a 6 inch tuna on white bread with all the veggies plus pepper and no oils. Tuna was tasty, but portion was very small like a very thin layer. They used too give like 2 scoops worth. Veggies were very fresh, but bread was a bit tough at least on the outside. I also got their footlong pretzel... it looked really good, but a bit chewy IMHO. Staff was pleasant. Ambiance seems bright with the green and yellow colors decor. Good number of tables and chairs, but a few were way too close to another IMHO. They have a fountain drink station. I saw an all gender restroom in the back. I have not been to Subway in quite a while. I stopped in to pick up some sandwiches to take to the SC Football game, and I was so very impressed by the young man Kurt who helped me. He was so kind, thoughtful and intentional, and put together a couple of fantastic veggie sandwiches. He encouraged me to get the app, which I definitely will, because I'll be coming back. To whom this may concern: I have never written a bad review, but what happened at that Subway today was absolutely not okay. I went today, 4/17/2026, with a friend to get lunch at this Subway location, 1466 East Foothill Blvd. Suite P Upland, CA, 91786 and we purchased around 1:15ish pm. My friend and I decided to sit down and eat. We're eating, talking, and minding our own business when a woman who was waiting for her order starts talking to us. We were polite and just nodded, but she felt that one of the employees was in a bad mood and was being rude to her. I noticed that while she was talking to us, he was watching us. Again, minding our own business. Then I don't agree with what she did, such as asking him, "Are you having a good day? Do you have a bad life?" I was shocked that she was asked that, and then he turned around and asked her the same thing back. Now, I was double-shocked, for someone who is supposed to work in customer service should not be responding that way. I understand the frustration, but that was not the right way to speak to a customer. I think she was frustrated and walked out because of his behavior towards her. Then again, my friend and I are minding our own business, eating and talking, and he says loudly, "You over there gawking, yeah, I see you." We stop our conversation, and I realize he's speaking to me. I was absolutely flabbergasted that he would feel comfortable addressing a customer like that, and two, cause an uncomfortable environment for customers. I did not respond to him because my friend has a disability (Down Syndrome), and she is sensitive to highly reactive emotions, which could cause stress for her. I remained calm and continued my lunch because I was not going to respond to someone who was being intentionally disrespectful and rude. My concern for this Subway location is that if this situation were handled by a different customer who did not hold the same calmness and patience, it could lead to a risk of a more serious escalation and a different outcome. I will never go to this location again because of the hostile environment that happened today. read more

Came in for lunch today about 3pm young lady who helped me was very nice friendly had a nice warm smile that I appreciated because a lot of times workers at these types of places are more robotic then human sometimes any they did not have meal of the day for some reason that other subways have she apologized for that and help me do a online order for 40% off a foot-long sandwich she was very patient with me that she helped me navigate the subway app. The sandwich was good. The bread was super fresh. The restaurant was clean overall a A+ experience for me today and I will probably return to this location just because of the service that I received I wish I knew or remembered the young lady's name but I forgot it. We stopped at Subway on our way home. I ordered my usual turkey and avocado sandwich. The sandwich artist did a great job with my sandwich. I basically ask for all the veggies. She put a good portion of veggies on my sandwich in addition to the turkey and avocado. Other Subways overload my sandwich and the veggies and avocado end up falling out. Also the employees were friendly. They were very helpful to a few customers that were confused with the menu. I waited a bit, but I was fine with it, since those customers really needed help and the employees were supportive. There was a bit of excitement since our car got tapped outside of the restaurant. Came here for lunch and ordered 2 meals with a digital coupon. It was redeemed without issue. We were greeted when we came in and was served promptly. The younger lady took our order and executed it quickly and without error. The ingredients did indeed look fresh and tasted rightly so. As for cleanliness, the dining area, restrooms and beverage area were all satisfactory. One of the main reasons we came to this location in particular is because it has horchata and Orange Bang available (so I'll definitely consider coming to this location more frequent). Other Subway locations do not have this available. Portioning was satisfactory - both in the meat and the vegetables. Sauces were placed properly as requested. I come to this location very frequently and usually have a great experience. Today (Feb.29,2020) at around noon I went in and had a terrible experience. The young man who helped me was very kind and I asked him if the 3 subs for $18 and some change promotion was still going on, he said yes. The lady who I think is the manager was a few feet away , heard, and did not say anything. I continued to order three subs for that reason. The lady then stepped in and was very in a hurry to make our subs rushing us. My husbands sub was extremely burnt and hard (picture below) and I asked for avocado. I was only given three tiny pieces because the employee did not want to cut another avocado open due to the line. I did not want to bother him because I assumed I would not be charged for three tiny pieces,but to my surprise I was charged the full $1.50! (Picture of avocado and receipt below.) Then at the end of my visit I was charged $29!!! I told the manager I was told the promotion was going on and that is why I got the three subs. She said oh no we don't do that anymore I was so upset because that is the only reason I ordered three. I had a 10% off coupon so my total came out to $27. I am extremely upset at the poor quality of the subs and the employees lack of consideration to the clientele. I know these subs were not worth close to $30 and it is sad that I had to use my hard earned money for inadequate subs. Very disappointed. read more

My personal experience here has never let me down. There is one staff lady there all the time I think shes the manager, she always gets everything right on my order and is always welcoming. When they dont have a specific soup I want she goes out of her way to prepare some. Just great customer service with here in general. I have no complaints at all and I am very picky at where I go. Should have read the reviews before deciding to try this Subway. The reviews are pretty accurate. I have eaten at many different Subway establishments and have always had good experiences. This particular Subway was noticeably different. Instead of their normal "hello welcome to subway", I had to wait for a few minutes while the owner and the employee finished their conversation before I was acknowledge. This gave me an opportunity to look at the cleanliness of the establishment. Right away I noticed the cutting board area was dirty with mayonnaise and other sauses scattered about on it. None of the meats were covered and the vegetables appeared old and wilted. I will never eat here again. Eat at your own risk. read more
