I ended up here on accident, because I wasn't paying attention and placed an order at a Flame Broiler, further from where I live and realized after the fact, it was one closer. This one came up first, so I just started clicking. Anyhow I'm happy I went to this one, because I ended up at CVS in the same lot, where I had a good experience, that I'll share in a different review. I arrived and my order was ready on the pick up shelf. I was greeted upon entering and after getting my food I was offered sauces, because the employee said he didnt see that I requested any sauces. Of course I wanted sauces, so I got what I wanted and left. Now I'm home, and my Korean Spicy Bowl was delicious, with a generous portion of chicken, which made it even better. I'm then ready to try out my Charbroiled wings and those were some of the skimpiest wings I've ever received. They definitely have a chargrilled taste, but the wings barely have any meat on them and in MY opinion, should be priced cheaper, because $5.99 is not worth it for those wings. I'm a big fan of flame broiler kind of my go to when I'm tired of the burger drive-thru. I did order online and it said 10 mins. I get there about 15 mins and it wasn't ready yet, place was slow with only one customer waiting when I got there. So that's kinda a bummer when you're in a rush. The other reason for minus a star is that my white meat chicken was a bit burnt on some pieces and I had asked for a salad for my plate order and got nothing but vegetables instead. Didn't notice til I got home. Also first time getting the wings and man are they small, not worth the $6 price tag but did taste good. (See pic) I'm usually a bowl girl but though it was odd the plate order came with everything separately. Don't know if that's just for to go orders. FYI place is clean and nice area. I came here for the first time around 5pm. It was pretty empty. I ordered the spicy mini chicken bowl with veggies and asked for avocado and onions on top with a side of magic sauce. Food came out super fast, like I didn't even get a chance to sit down and wait fast - so that was a huge plus. My disappointment was when I came home and noticed they forgot to put the avocado. So I love me my Flame Broiler biggie times 1000X. They have never done me wrong for a veggie, protein and carb hit with the brown rice. This one is sort of off the Edison Electric Bike trail that I sometimes do 20 something mile loops on. I was hungry and found this one on accident. First off the girls inside were VERY nice and let me bring my gravel bike inside so it wouldn't get stolen. I was super hungry and as everyone knows, most fat casual is crappy, fatty, unhealthy comfort food. Not anything anyone should be eating as that food makes you fat! So this nice young woman Evelyn and the staff made a super keen and large double chicken bowl for me loaded, with everything including avocado. The otters customer and I gave more than six feet, everyone had masks on and they hand hand sanitizer for us. Evelyn brought it outside, and I asked her if it was ok to eat it on the curb about 20 feet form the entrance and she said no problem. As everyone knows like for a good deal of people has been very hard and this meal filled a void of happiness and love I needed. The employees were very nice to me and made that bowl chock full o' chicken, yummy veggies and brown rice plus a nice portion of avocado. After I ate it I open the door and thanked them for being so nice to me. I have no idea what's up with all the negative reviews at a lot or restaurants? I don't people realize how hard these workers bust their ass for our whinny butts. I know the lockdown has caused people to go crazy but go easy on these frontline workers. I bet most of people leaving crap reviews are unemployed (and that's fine and totally understandable) but everyone needs to stop going off on restaurant, retail and grocery employees. My family and I really enjoy Flame Broiler, it's a family favorite. We're loyal customers at the 8005 Vineyard Ave location however, each time we eat there it's unbearably hot! Today it was 113 degrees outside and in this type of heat we are looking forward to walking into a well air-conditioned facility, but that was not the case at this Flame Broiler location. As soon as we walked inside it felt like we walked into an oven. I could see the AC thermostat when I ordered my food and it was set to 89 with an indoor temperature with an upward of 93 degrees! We asked to speak to a manager, and the lady taking our order said she is the manager, but is unable to lower the temperature it because the cameras are watching her. Corporate really needs to look into this AC issue as this can also be considered hazardous working conditions for their employees, not to mention the loss of returning customers. read more

I went to this restaurant today and ordered the chicken bowel. I wish I had checked before I drove all the way back home. I only go to this Flame Broiler because it's in the same location as my hairdresser. When I got home and opened up the container I was beyond pissed off. Half of it was white rice as I had ordered. I'm still shaking my head at how stingy this place is. You would think the servers were paying for the food themselves. ***FAST FOOD GONE HEALTHY*** Please open up one next to my office because I can seriously see myself eating this daily. It's funny because I can make rice (though I do not have a rice cooker), I can make a healthy version of the chicken and/or beef stir-fry, and I can make a guilt-free teriyaki sauce BUT in America we prefer convenience, fast, and goodness altogether as a package deal. During my business trip, I worked more than usual. I logged on before 4AM and answered emails before, during, and after training. The training was 8 hours in Bloomington. Seriously have never heard of that city but it's a very sad place however, one of the many sectors of my company is based there. Anyway. After a long ass day I wanted something as healthy as possible and as cheap as possible. Though my company will reimburse whatever the amount I spend on food but I ate how I normally eat. I know. I am cheap. This was less than 2 miles from my hotel. Upon entering the parking lot, I saw, "No MSG" and "No Frying" signs on the windows which automatically made me fell in love w/ this place from the get go. I got the 2 meat combo bowl over brown rice. "Do you want green onions on top?" "Fuck yeah, I do" was my immediate response. The kid laughed and smiled. Though that was the most interaction I got, it wasn't an issue at all. + rice was fluffy + chicken was tender + beef was tender-er + green onions were fresh + hot sauce was actually hot + the magic sauce is really teriyaki but still yummy I love San Jose but I would contemplate moving on purely for the food but that won't happen because I love the Bay Area too much. After my training ended, my GM told me they will send me to 4 other modules. One thing I am hoping for is another SoCal training event. I will order 10 of the chicken/beef bowl. Pretty sure they changed owners/went corporate because everything that was wrong before, has now been fixed. Before the inside was always terribly dirty, now it's spotless. Before the employees were pretty rude and spent a lot of time texting when you're standing in line waiting to be helped. Now they're SUPER friendly and extremely quick to take everyone's order. When there's not many people in line or inside, someone is always cleaning and making sure things are neat and tidy. Before the sauce bar was a disaster and complete mess. Now it's clean and organized. They even started pre-packaging the sauces for our convenience which I was really happy about. All and all, I really love coming here now. The food is healthy and fresh, plus it's right near my gym. The employees are all really cool and super nice and it's just a better atmosphere now. Can't wait to be back! read more

I'd truly like to give this place negative stars but that's not an option. So on the food side the rice was dried out, I maybe got a half a scoop of chicken at best, and if I wanted more it would have been 3 dollars (unreal), didn't bother to cut up that avocado, and no bag to carry my to go orders out in. On the sanitation side, the server had his long hair hanging out of his hat which is a great way to get hair in the food. The same scoop was used for all the meat, classic cross contamination (you're taught this when you get your food handlers card, so it just negligence on their part), I wouldn't be surprised to learn a lot of people get sick eating there. If you want a good rice bowl, do yourself a favor and just go to waba grill, the experience and food will be way more worth your time. read more
