This place has been here for a while, and I've always wanted to try it, but never had the chance. A couple of my friends have been here recently and had rave reviews, so I decided I had to finally try it out! I ordered online for pickup, and the ordering process was super easy. When it came time to go pick up my order, the parking lot was kind of busy, but manageable. The place was actually really busy and they were handing out orders in a timely matter. There's dining in options inside--and outside with cute little umbrella tables and chairs. I was greeted upon entering and gave them my name for pickup. They were still finishing my order so I waited briefly. Their menu is pretty extensive and they have a lot of drink and chip options. I ordered the Roasted Garlic Steak Chop which had romaine, garlic steak, celery, fresh beets, tomato, pickled onions and seasoned croutons. I also added feta crumbles. The recommended dressing was blue cheese, but I went with the lemon vinaigrette. LOVE the packaging of everything. It was a decent sized salad too! Everything was so fresh and wonderful! I also ordered my daughter the Chef's Chop Salad to-go. Salads and items were really fresh and good! Counter employees are really nice! Clean restaurant inside and out. Was really disappointed because online they have not changed their times of when they close! I arrived at 8:30 straight after work and online it says that they close at 9pm but when I walked inside they told me that they closed at 8 and when I asked if I am aloud to place an order still they where really mean and then told me no which is fine but they could have had a better attitude about it! It's the second time I came, and I got a garlic steak salad and tried one of the dressings with it. I probably should've had it on the side just in case I didn't like it, but I asked them to toss it when they asked. I didn't like it. I asked if I could get ranch (just to add it on top) and that I'd pay for it, but I didn't like the lemon one with the salad I got. The Chop Stop is a small, clean and friendly restaurant. The concept is good, the follow through is lacking. I had a Build Your Own Chop (bowl), I started with Kale adding salmon for the protein with the following toppings cucumber, beets, corn, garbanzo beans, broccoli with a Cilantro Lime Dressing. The disappointment is unlike a Poke bowl that has large scoops of topping for a similar price the Chop Stop Build you own had at least 90% Kale and a minute portion of topping. I had to look extremely close to find the small pieces of toppings. The Kale with cilantro lime dressing was refreshing but I would have liked to have been able to see and taste the toppings. It would have been nice if the bowl looked anywhere close to the on-line photos. My friend got the Caesar Chop same minute portion of toppings. read more

I got the Santa Fe Chop and they put salsa or pieces of chili in it from here yesterday it was basically inedible. It was so spicy, I eat salsa but it was extremely hot. I LOVE salad places, so I was excited to try this place a few Saturdays ago. Walked in around 2pm on a Saturday and it was quiet and clean. Bathroom was nice - used it twice while there because I'm very pregnant lol. The menu is overwhelming because there are so many choices in toppings and pre-made salads. While the build-your-own option looks cheaper at $9.50+ than the menu salads at $11.50-$13ish, beware - all the meat but egg has an upcharge, so really the better deal is the menu salads. I went with a classic, the southwestern chicken salad. As other posters have mentioned (and the reason for the 4/5 star review), they don't fill up the container fully. For almost $12, the amount of salad you get doesn't compare to similar places like Sweet Green or Salata. At Salata, I can get almost double the amount of salad for maybe $14. However, the quality of ingredients here was good. The cilantro dressing was slightly tangier than your usual cilantro dressing, which I liked a lot. The chicken didn't taste fake (even if it was?? haha). They didn't skimp on the toppings per se, it's just the overall amount of the entire salad should be more for the price. Nevertheless, I'm a sucker for an overpriced salad because they can be so costly to buy all the ingredients for and make at home (and a pain to make), so I'd definitely give this place another try! read more

The basic chopped salad is very chopped....like you can eat your meal with a small teaspoon. My Greek salad was pretty decent and I was able to add chicken and choose my own dressing. For the Cobb, all the flavors were great but we could barely taste actual chicken...might have been chopped too small and gotten lost within all the other ingredients. Getting there: If you're coming from the 210 freeway, take exit 54A for Day Creek Blvd, head south, and you'll find it on your right. The parking lot can get a bit congested (esp. during lunch time) as it's shared with other restaurants. Experience I stumbled upon Chop Stop a few years ago, and I can't believe I didn't discover it sooner than I did. This place is an absolute gem. The salad selections here are fresh and diverse, to the point that I often choose to customize my own salad with their wide array of ingredients. Plus, their prices are quite reasonable.
