first time!! great service and food looks amazing cava power bowl and pita great options

Came here last night because we were craving something fresh. It is located in huge shopping complex so there was lots of parking. It's just as described by other reviewers...Chipotle style establishment with Mediterranean food. The servers work like an assembly line, serving you at different stations. The staff were not overtly friendly. They were just very matter of fact, asking you whether you want rice or salad. The line was very long when we arrived around 6:30 pm but it seemed to move pretty efficiently. I was happy to see that none of the items I wanted were "all out" which often is the case when you go to a Chipotle or custom pizza place like Blaze. The only thing I noticed was that there was litter all throughout the restaurant since the workers appeared to be tied up serving and making food. We got a kids build your own and a bowl. They packed it in with everything we wanted. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Dinner was so refreshing. One of my fave items at Cava is their pita chips. I'm honestly disappointed with my experience here. The staff seemed rushed and more focused on moving the line than actually getting orders right. I paid and didn't receive the full portion I ordered, which is frustrating--especially when you're being charged for it. I understand places can get busy, but accuracy and quality shouldn't be sacrificed. If I'm paying for something, I expect to get exactly what I ordered. I'd recommend slowing down a bit and paying more attention to each customer's order. read more

My friends and I worked out and decided to stop by here for some bowls! Upon arriving, there was already a line starting inside and majority tables full. For food, I got the honey harissa chicken bowl with super greens and saffron rice, tzatziki, corn, tomato + cucumbers, pickled onions, pita crisps, skhug, yogurt dill, and garlic dressing. It is on the saucier side but I enjoy that! It definitely gets busy during lunch rush so beware of the line! read more

This was my 1st time here. It was during the lunch rush (1:15pm). However the line moved quickly. If you like chiptole you'll love Cava. The ingredient are better quality and they aren't stingy. Loved the staff. Very nice and very diverse just like the customers. Loved it. The restaurant was cleaned. And the staff (even though it was very busy) was attentive to everyone's needs. I decided to try the Steak & Harissa bowl ($17). It had a small kick (spice) to it. It was delicious. This is one of the specialty bowls. I also tried the fried pita chips ($2). That was perfect with my bowl. It had a lot of flavor and was crunchy. I tried the different lemonade they offered. Cucumber lime with a splash of spirt was good. The cost was ok ($22 + free drink). While I was placing my order, the gal that was feeling my bowl got interrupted twice, when I had just explained to her I've only been there once before, and everyone was rude, and bothered by questions. Some bowls had scoops and scoops of items, while I was only given one scoop of each. As a customer who was gainfully employed for over 32 years, and worked with the public a great deal of that time, I was incredibly disappointed by the lack of kindness shown during my recent visit. I tried the build your own bowl with supergreens and saffron rice, added the chicken, tzaki and hummus sauce, and lemon herb tahini and skouug dressing, plus the fresh veggie toppings. Everything tastes so fresh, and each ingredient is very well prepared. Flavor is on point with a Mediterranean profile. Would definitely come back and try more. read more

Food was good, however the atmosphere and attitude the employees had was so disappointing, Is my money not green? I understand my size is a concern for others but to constantly go to places and be overlooked like I was last night was a flipping JOKE! There was a lady that was avoiding us at all cost and any time she looked in our direction it was as she ate a shit sandwiches. And wanted us to know or we smelled as if we were picking from the cotton fields all day. I'm trying really hard to not be sad and hate the world for harboring such hate. I actually felt horrible for the family behind me because I had said oh cool I'm not here. I was quite embarrassed as well. We sat there to eat and unfortunately the bench was so nasty it was black from all the sticky fingers and hands. I didn't dare look at the chairs. I also notice there was papers or trash scattered. Chunky/heavy girl who helped me was very rude terrible energy and was rushing me I even asked her a question and she shined me on until I had to tell her to slow down cause I don't play that little kid stuff. First time visiting any location and it was not great. I let the girl at the counter know that it was my first time so I did not know how it all worked- she could care less, she just stood there looking annoyed because I was looking at the menu trying to figure out how to place my order. She didn't offer any assistance or suggestions, so I opted for the Build Your Own option, which I figured would be the easier option. I had to pause at each option, because again, being my first time I had no idea what any of the items were and she just stared annoyed. It was very awkward and definitely made me feel unwelcome. I did enjoy some of the flavors of my selection but I feel like I could have had better combinations if the employee could have offered some helpful insight. I definitely will not be returning to this location but I could possibly visit a different location and hopefully have a better experience. read more

Ok so I walked in with my grand daughter and my daughter !!! First impression was not good ... There was a young adult working gave my family a dirty look ... the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing ... so I ordered my bowl chick took off so fast she messed up !! Not really what I wanted .. but I didn't want her put her hand in my bowl to pull it out .... My granddaughter ordered her bowl ok fine she got what she wanted that's why one 1 star ! Then the looked over my daughter and went to the next customer !!! Rude she yelled at the young man working and he apologized... Then back the the young adult that stared at us and made judgment on us !! I would love to call her racist we are the only white people in here ... Long story short she walks up to the lady finishing my bowl that is messed up .. says something to the girl ... That she can't handle the madness and just wants to go home ... and looks at me .. well the girl making my bowl grabbed the dressing I didn't want and started shaking it ... Dressing flying all over me and her and I said that's not the one I want... I don't think I'll be back to this one I'm sorry it's Friday night at 8 :00 and you have to work !!!! So the food is great. Just like any other CABA places. Service is fine, Fast and efficiently done. 2 stars are for the place. Lighting and all bright glass windows are great. Floor and the tables are very filthy. Most of them so sticky that even when you want to wipe down with Clorox bleach or any sanitizer tissue, they got stuck on the table. By the end of our meals, our bowls stuck on the table. Really bad. So sad to see this franchise cleanliness goes down the drain. read more

First time trying this franchise. Cava reminds me a lot of Chipotle if Chipotle had more veggies, lol. It's a Mediterranean twist on the usual "mixed food in a bowl" that both Chipotle and any Poke place are well-known for. Their options are varied and the protein itself is good too. I like how, even something as basic as corn can be enhanced with the right seasoning. We came on a Sunday, in the late afternoon, and it was somewhat packed, but it was still worth it. The milk cartons were incredibly overpriced, though (I think 3 dollars for like 8 oz of milk, which is insane). Other than that, the food itself and the service were pretty good. read more

Food is really flavorful and fresh. It would've gotten 4 stars except for the extra mile service of the girl who did the second step for my toppings! The avocado was hard and she worked at it for a bit and when I told her nvm she got off as much as she could and didn't charge me. It's basically chipotle but Mediterranean. I do really like all the topping options and I'd suggest getting dressing on the side. I didn't get any sauce on top and my sister regretted getting hers. Everything's always so flavorful, it's worth trying it with just the pickled items and hummus and other toppings that add so much flavor! Very crowded inside! So many employees buzzing and cooking food right there for you to see (more like panda how the kitchen is lit right there behind the counter), a lot of people inside too. Placed an online order for pick up at 840pm got a notification that my order would be ready by 9pm. Arrived to Cava at 9pm to find my order was still "in progress". 2 other individuals for pick up came in after me and nobody attended to them until after I was finally given my order at 920pm. Finally get home and find that 2 different orders were mixed with my order. Very frustrating when I pay extra for additional items on top of the horrible service. read more

My husband and I had a quick dinner here and we really enjoyed the food. I ordered the steak and harissa bowl with everything on it and added corn. It was so good! The steak was cooked well and I enjoyed the blend of flavors from the sauces, veggies, and feta cheese. We also ordered the pita chips to add some texture to our bowls. To our disappointment, it was literally the pita bread fried. They were also overly seasoned and it wasn't as crunchy as we had hoped. Parts of the "chip" were crunchy and parts were soft. The other thing is that this place is not clean. All the tables were super sticky and we had to clean the tables ourselves to eat. There was one girl (maybe she was the manager?) who was working hard to get our bowls out and getting everything ready for closing. Everyone else didn't take their roles as urgently. The soda machine was also not working for the "Mexicane cola." They did give us a coca-cola bottle without charge to help us with the inconvenience. read more

The food was great, but unfortunately the service and cleanliness were not. The staff was not friendly, and the long wooden seats were extremely dirty & sticky, with thick dirt buildup. It didn't appear that they are cleaned regularly. They were also out of ice. I informed the staff, but no one addressed it. I sat down and finished my meal, and only after I was done did they finally put ice in the machine. Due to the poor cleanliness and lack of attentiveness, I'm giving this location 2 stars and will not be returning. read more
