The homemade ranch was unreal--seriously one of the best we've had and the perfect complement to the appetizers. For our entrées, we ordered the jerk chicken and the beef stroganoff. It's so hard to find a restaurant that serves a great beef stroganoff these days, and both my husband and I were beyond impressed. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the sauce was rich and creamy, and the beef was so tender it melted in your mouth. Every bite was incredible. The jerk chicken was packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, and the coconut rice was the perfect pairing. I came in around 2pm on a friday just in time for their lunch specials. Happy hour also starts at 3 so I felt like it was a win win. I ordered their crystal paloma, poutine, lunch specials smashburger & their chicken caesar wrap with nashville hot chicken. The paloma was good but it was a little spicy! The poutine fries were my favorite, so so good! So much flavor from the chimichurri, theyre a must try. The smashburger was also great & they came with a side of tots. I just had lunch with a girlfriend here today. I was so sad to see that they changed their taco Tuesday. Which used to be 3 soft tacos with option or steak or fish(salmon) and coleslaw on top. I would pick 2 fish and 1 steak. It was so amazing that I would tell all my friends. The tacos are not on the menu and I ordered that today just to find out it has changed and looks kind of basic with tortilla and steak, topped with guacamole and little bit of pickled onion. They don't give you an option anymore. Served with a side of salsa. It just looked sad and was way better before. Hope you guys bring it back. Their Cali Water cocktail was also enjoyed, as well as a lemon drop and a margarita. The vibes are chill and the staff was very helpful and attentive. We stopped by The Cut during the busy Mother's Day weekend to take a little break from shopping and have a cocktail, and it was definitely worth it! My husband ordered the Cadillac Margarita and said it was delicious, and I had the Tommy Margarita, which I absolutely loved as well. Came here for lunch on a weekend. Food was great. The service was severely lacking. I get that it was busy, but our waitress was horrible. She took so long to take our drink order after we sat down, that we were ready to order our food when she came around. After she took our drink and food order, we waited 15 mins, and still no drinks. When our waitress came by we reminded her about not getting our drinks yet and she copped an attitude and was like "we were busy, yeah I asked someone else to bring the water". Ok. Although I'd really like to give this place 5 stars because I genuinely love the food, I can't overlook my most recent experience. On a previous visit, I was served by Dave (or David), and he was fantastic, which made this visit even more disappointing. My girlfriend and I came in on a Monday and were seated by a very kind gentleman who brought us water right away. After that, however, we were completely ignored. I could see our server was busy and running around, and I understand how hectic the service industry can be because I'm a server myself. But a simple, "Hi, I'll be with you in just a moment," would have gone a long way. After about 15 minutes, she finally came over, and I asked if we could move tables. She moved us inside, but then disappeared again. By the time my friend arrived and got settled, we were still waiting with nothing but water. No drink order, no appetizer order, no acknowledgment. We ended up leaving around 7:55 without ever being served. As someone who works in this industry, I know busy shifts happen. But I've never let guests feel as invisible as we did that night. I don't know if it was because we looked younger or if it was just an off night, but almost 30 minutes without any service beyond water was incredibly disappointing. read more

I visited The Cut at Victoria Gardens recently, and while I understand it's primarily a gourmet burger restaurant, the experience as a vegetarian was honestly disappointing. The service itself was great; our server was very sweet and apologized that they didn't have more options for us, offering a pasta dish and the mac and cheese.However, the restaurant's decision to fry virtually every vegetarian-friendly side in beef tallow made me feel extremely limited and unwelcome. No fries, tater tots, sweet potato fries, Brussels sprouts, or even the mozzarella sticks are actually vegetarian-safe because they're all cooked in beef fat--which is just wild for things like cheese sticks and veggies. Yes, they offer Impossible patties, but most people expect to pair a burger with potato sides, and that simply wasn't possible here. Your only real options are pasta, mac and cheese, or salads. I completely respect restaurants having their own cooking style, but it would've been nice to have at least a few genuinely vegetarian-friendly comfort sides available. Unfortunately, because of that, I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend The Cut to vegetarians. read more

The baked potato was fine nothing wrong but nothing great. My wife got the crusted Salmon. Cooked well and the crust was great just lacking a main flavor. She got a cocktail that she said was great. Maybe we just got the wrong things. This place was nice and easy to get a reservation on a weekend. They reserved our table for us and accommodated our small child. I ordered the Island Salmon, Crystal Paloma and the ube créme brulee for dessert. The salmon dish was really good, but not great. The salmon was cooked well, however, it had little to no salt. The food overall was a 8/10 due to the lack of seasoning on the salmon. The Crystal Paloma was really good and had a nice spice to it. Drink, 9/10 just because the presentation was boring. The ube créme brulee was pretty good as well, but nothing special. He claimed it was chef recommended. It came with a matcha cookie that I did not like at all. It crumbled just by looking at it and had the texture of wet sand, not a fan of that at all. Dessert 5/10. The ambiance was mid, very bright and sterile feeling, definitely not a spot for a cozy diner if that's what you're looking for. Overall ambiance score is 3/10. The main reason for the 3/5 stars is due to the service. Upon coming in, I asked for a spot at the bar so I could watch the game. I was given both the drink menu and the food menu. The waiter came over and got my drink order, but never asked if I wanted anything to eat, and left right away after getting my drink order. I had to call him back over to take down my food order. There were 3 other people sitting at the bar as well, and I noticed that they all had water, but I was never given any. After receiving my food, I was never checked up on until I was completely done with my meal. I guess he realized what terrible service he was giving me, because all of a sudden he's asking if I want anything else and recommending different drinks and desserts and even talking about the game with me.
