After finishing my meal here, I was left wondering if I was missing something. Maybe it just wasn't for me. I didn't enjoy my food, and a good chunk of the people I went with didn't either. The service was great, the people at the register and within the store were very kind and friendly. Inside there is ample seating and you grab a number for your table and they'll deliver your food for you. I can say that they care about the food they put out, and that eating here can be a good experience for some. I appreciate that they have many gluten-free options and are extremely accommodating for allergies. Overall, this place gets a 5/10 for me. I'm not sure why people like this place. I grew up in the IE, I travel a lot now and have had food all over the world. There's really good stuff out there. The place has about 3 things on the menu, configured in different ways. It feels like some fake prefab manufactured pop-up suburban nightmare of a BBQ joint. Corporate food crap for the masses. I ordered the brisket in a bowl and it was hands down the saltiest, most inedible thing I've ever eaten. I actually couldn't eat it. My mom too. For the first time in literally forever, we had to ask for our money back. To give them credit the employees were kind and didn't grift us. They did disturbingly say "oh yeah, we outsource our brisket it must've been a bad batch." A bad batch? They weren't even surprised. There used to be a place on foothill where a guy smoked his own BBQ in a smoker outside every day. I miss those days. Sigh. If you value flavor and your health, best avoid this place. read more

Tons of seating outside on the patio, but kind of hard to sit outside during the summer. About 6-8 seating tables inside. Restroom is outside and they offer water and metal utensils. FOOD: We ordered the American burger with Mac n cheese and the Thai curry and sweet potato fries. The Thai curry was delicious and a little spicy, but the plates were generous in size and great in flavor. The sweet potato fries were the biggest and thickest fries I have seen! They are generous with portions here! The Mac n cheese was so so and wish it was cheesier and more flavorful. However, the American burger was one of the BEST burgers I've ever had! Tons of flavor bacon avocado grass fed meat, it doesn't get better than that!! Delicious! Unfortunately, none of the burgers sandwiches and plate menu options come with sides so you have to pay. This was a bummer as it cost at least $20 for everything to get meal with a side. I recently ate here (Easter Sunday) and found the food to be just okay, but the service--especially from the woman at the counter--was extremely disappointing. After we were served, we were told it would be about three minutes for the mac and cheese. When it finally came out, it was melted on the outside but cold, almost frozen, on the inside. We brought it back, and instead of addressing the issue properly, the woman at the counter responded with, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" She offered to reheat it, which was surprising--at that point, a fresh batch would have made much more sense. For a $70 meal, I expected far better quality and service. Unfortunately, the experience has gone downhill, and the service in particular has become quite poor. read more

I've been wanting to try Bushfire for a while now and am glad I finally did! Bushfire is located on the easternmost side of Terra Vista town center, right next to Sushi one spot. When you walk in you pick a table and you order at the counter. They give you a number and bring the food to you. The staff was very kind and friendly when we ordered, and was helpful again when we were getting ready to leave and needed to go boxes. The food was very good! I ordered the Tuscan chicken sandwich which was delicious, and a side of their seasonal feta fries. I also got a beef empanada to go because I heard good things about the empanadas. My friend ordered three different empanadas and a side of the garlic mashed potatoes. Out of all the empanadas she said the beef was the best. I did have a bite of my friend's mashed potatoes and they were amazing. Such good flavor! They had a soda machine and a few different fruity drinks as well. I had the iced tea and it was pretty good. It was my first time here despite living in the area for a long time. It was about an hour before closing and there was a good amount of people, mostly sitting in the outside patio bc of the amazing weather. I ordered a tri tip bowl with garlic mashed potatoes as the base with a side of broccoli with KARL Strauss' Boat shoes IPA (which I was happy to see bc I love boat shoes). Not only did the food come out very quick, but all of it tasted amazing. Had the pleasure of Carol and her crew taking care of our table in which she was very attentive, caring, and even showed a bit of her humor. Her demeanor and her team of chefs is definitely the reason why I'll be coming back. I'm not sure how to feel about this place. I came for lunch, it was pretty empty. I ordered a burger, the en fuego. The patty you can tell wasnt fresh it was rather dry, if the sauce wasnt there this wouldn't have been good at all, I still dont think its a $16 burger with no sides. My odd gripe though is there were no napkins or a trashcan available, so I'm eating my burger and sauce and oil are dripping all over the place and there are no napkins! So I had to rush and eat so I could go to the car to get napkins to clean my mouth and face. I'm sure there were napkins behind the counter, but thats inconvenient for customers. Tonight's visit was really disappointing, especially considering how good this place was when it first opened. I ordered a bowl with chicken, Brussels sprouts, and mac and cheese. Both sides came with an additional upcharge, so I expected them to be at least flavorful and reasonably portioned. The Brussels sprouts had absolutely no seasoning--no salt, no flavor, nothing. The mac and cheese portion was shockingly small and definitely not worth paying extra for. The chicken itself was average at best, and to top it off it was served with teriyaki sauce even though I specifically asked for BBQ sauce. When you're charging extra for sides, the quality and portions should reflect that. It's unfortunate because this place used to be much better. Hopefully management takes a look at consistency and quality control. read more

The place was clean, including the restroom. We all shared our plates with each other. I ordered the medium spice chicken curry. I chose white rice with butternut squash. It was really good and the perfect lunch with a beautiful sauce spice. I washed it all down with the raspberry lemonade. My friends ordered the salmon Teriyaki and tri-tip.
