Let's see- Since discovering Sourdough & Company in Monrovia approximately four weeks ago, I've subsequently returned to the Monrovia store for a redux, then sought out its Yorba Linda and Upland locations...meanwhile, checking regularly to see if their Chino Hills branch has been officially opened yet. Yep- Safe to say that your favorite Yelp correspondent has gone SWEET on Sourdough & Company and its lineup of well-made sandos on that incredibly satisfying bread! Over five visits spread between the three stores, I've ordered their pastrami, brisket, chicken salad and peppered turkey breast sandwiches, always in the largest size, which clocks in at 8" long. Tonight, my first foray to its Upland branch, I returned back to the order that shot my foodie heart with its well-aimed arrow- A hot pastrami and provolone served with the house spread (a balsamic mayonnaise) and onions on their unctuous sourdough. The staffers, two young men of hugh school age, were kind enough to let me use the restroom even tho it was close to closing time and they'd just freshly mopped the floors. The decor of all the S&C stores is the same- Farmhouse Americana. Pro Tip #1- S&C will sell you loaves of their just baked sourdough. $4.99/loaf but each loaf is 16-18" in length (check out my photos for an eye-opener!) and reasonably healthy.... Pro Tip #2- Each loaf of S&C's chief moneymaker is packed w/ 12g of protein and its sourdough composition actually makes them a much smarter choice for diabetics because they offer a better glycemic index. Translation? The glucose is released into the bloodstream at a slower, steadier pace, averting a rapid sugar/carb spike. Suffice to say that I'm an ardent fan of Sourdough & Company and am rooting for their continued success! Great sandwiches made with consistency. The food here is amazing no matter if you get a cold or hot sub you find yourself indulged in the flavor they have to offer. We've tried a few things such as the French dip,turkey sub, double Pesto chicken , Mac and cheese and clam chowder. The service has always been great you're greeted with nice employees who offer great insight on the food here. I'd say the French dip is hands down the best and fhe turkey falls second and everything after. Mac and cheese could be different and clam chowder could use a bit of seasoning. Great seating nice and open with great lighting while offering a peaceful environment to eat your food. Definitely recommend and well worth the money and drive spent coming here. read more

I've read some great reviews about Sourdough & Co. I've been wanting to try them, but every time I'm nearby Colonies Crossroads in Upland, I'm in a rush to somewhere else or they are closed by the time I return. Yesterday was the day. I barely got here 10 mins before closing. So glad I made it. Parking is plentiful. Upon entry, all chairs were already up on the tables. Floors were mopped clean. They were ready to be done for the day. Luckily, the nice and friendly young man and lady both were kind to take my to-go order. Thanks for the great service! First time here of course. Menu had great selections of different proteins for the sourdough sandwich. Specialty sandwiches and flatbreads are offered, too. Each day has a different soup flavor. Clam chowder is available every day. Sides, cookies, and drinks are nice complements to the meal. What's my choice at the eighth hour? Yes, they close at 8:00 PM on most days which I think is early... 9:00 PM would be better IMHO. Anyway, I got their 6" sourdough sandwich with ham and turkey. You can get it in 4" or 8" as well. I will get their 8" next time. Hey, 2 more inches make a difference LOL. I wanted to also get their mushroom flatbread, but they ran out of mushrooms. Bummer! But that didn't stop me from getting a flatbread. I got the artichoke chicken flatbread instead. Sourdough sandwich was super delicious! Fresh and simple ingredients... ham, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes... all worked so well together. Love their house spread and yellow mustard that made it an elevated sandwich! One tiny gripe, sourdough bread was a bit chewy and tough. Not sure if it was the last batch towards the end of the day. As I took a bite into the sandwich, all ingredients slipped out of the sandwich. They literally fell off (see photos). So hold on to your sandwich tight before taking your bites LOL. I think they need a wider sourdough bread to keep the ingredients on a flatter base. Flatbread wasn't bad. Taste had a unique flavor to it. I don't eat artichoke much so maybe it came from that. One small observation, it was a bit thinner than I would have liked for a flatbread. I probably won't get this again, but I will still try their mushroom flatbread next time. I love mushrooms! I also got a free sample of their mac n cheese. It was pretty good. I'll get it with some bacon on my next visit. Thanks Miss! They have one covered patio table and chairs right outside. I stayed for a little bit to eat my sandwich here. Btw, make sure you grab some napkins on the way out. I forgot to get napkins and my hands were plastered with mayo and mustard LOL. Date: July 25, 2026 Purchase: Mushroom Flatbread Meal that come with drink and side of choice (selected Cream of Potato and Fountain Drink) Experience: Husband was craving a sandwich so we gave this place a shot. I was glad they also had other options since I wasn't hungry for a sandwich. They had a tablet to order from on the counter, which could have been elevated a bit more so we didn't have to bend over to use it (didn't try lifting it to hold it up for fear of disconnecting it). I liked how I was able to customize the Mushroom Flatbread and changed the sauce to white and added a balsamic glaze. Originally I picked Pumpkin Soup since it was an option on the tablet, but about 20 minutes from placing our order we were told they didn't have it. I opted to replace it with the Cream of Potato, but they really need to update their options to avoid confusion. Then a few minutes later we were told that the Cream of Potato was out and I only had Chili and Fire Roasted Vegetable Soup to pick from. I opted for chips instead and they tossed in a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie for the inconvenience. The flatbread was decent, a little bit salty at first but got use to it. Yesterday, I was really craving a Heath cookie from here, and so we decided to come today, so I could get one with my meal. You can imagine my shock to find out it's been discontinued. It was the best cookie here, and even if it's seasonal, it should definitely be year-round! I know it's not the employees faults, but whoever made the decision to discontinue it, shame... I finally came here yesterday. Really enjoyed my visit! I ordered the brisket & Swiss 4 inch sandwich and I made it a meal with a Coke Fountain Drink and a small bowl of clam chowder soup. I've been to Sourdough & Co. in Upland several times, and while I generally enjoy the food, I have to say that the service in one particular area is very disappointing. This is not an inexpensive place, so I find it very poor taste and unacceptable that they don't have a restroom available for their customers. Instead, customers are sent to use the restroom at other nearby businesses. For a restaurant at this price point, I really feel that having a restroom for paying customers should be a basic courtesy. Unfortunately, this really takes away from the overall experience and reflects poorly on the level of service. I hope management considers addressing this issue because it is a basic amenity that customers should not have to worry about. read more

I was really excited this place finally opened, but realistically I'd give it 3.5 Stars. We waited a bit for the hype to die down and dined in a couple weeks after they opened. I guess it was still hyped because it was pretty busy. I ordered a sandwich and my husband got a flatbread and we each added drinks and chips. We decided to dine in and didn't think it would take too long, but our food took FOREVER. 30 minutes later we finally got our food. The staff were super friendly and apologetic, but the wait definitely sucked. I know they were busy and there were a lot of people, but was hoping after a couple weeks it wouldn't be this busy. I downloaded their app and joined their rewards program and we were able to get a discount on our meal. Even with the discount though the price is just too expensive in my opinion, $35+ just seemed a little steep. The flatbread was really good and so was my sandwich, but the sandwich is very small. It is definitely quality bread and good ingredients, but the portion size is just lacking a bit. It is clean inside and lots of seating. Parking is not bad either. Fast casual atmosphere with ample seating. The customer service was excellent. The employees were very helpful answering questions and taking our orders. The food was so delicious. I'm pretty new to this franchise, but from what I can say so far, I think there's a lot of potential, maybe just not for this location. We regularly get simple sandwiches that often come out pretty bad. They are sloppy on the condiments when you specifically request "easy." The sandwich is never cut evenly in half. They only cut a quarter of the way, and they don't even go all the way through to the end, leaving the bottom bread still attached. Then, at times, the lettuce they've included doesn't seem all that great. Overall, the execution for the price is just not worth it. I'm headed back to Panera, thank goodness I still have the Unlimited Sip Club! Sadly, there's no good alternative so far in this area, maybe Jersey Mike's.
