I've been meaning to try this place for ages and recently a coworker friend mentioned she went and loved it so when I didn't wanna cook before work I brought my daughter by! The gal working and getting our food ready was super sweet and friendly all while also working the drive thru. Our food was delicious. My daughter got the chicken strips and fries and she loved the pickles that came with it. I got the chicken sandwich which was also wonderful. The fries were delicious as well. Stopped by this new chicken on a whim. It reminds me of raising canes but the price came out to be 37 bucks. Pretty steep for two combos. There is no refill station outside. The waffle fries were okay. But the chicken was so tough and the reason was that they did not remove tendons. read more

At first look the food looks good and the place looks clean... after ordering I went to the bathroom and found cockroaches, I then ate and the food was okay the fries were bad. I was done eating and a homeless lady walked in and asked kindly if I can buy her a meal, as I always help the homeless I gladly went to buy her a meal but the worker said it was "against the rules to buy for other people ". I recommend eating inside. The place is very clean, has a few TVs, and smells really nice. The bathroom is very clean. Customer service was great. They greeted me when I came in and again when I left. The only thing that could improve the experience would be having ketchup and napkins in a more accessible spot so you don't have to ask every time you need more. read more

I like this location more off the bat. It has ample space and better access situation than the Fullerton location has. It's not Fullerton's fault though; they had to make do with the space they had. The food is great still. I even got a chance to try the tenders here. They were pretty damn good. I still Dave's has the best in the hot chicken market, but Clyde's were very close. Sure, they were smaller than Dave's, but they made up for it by including an extra one for me. That's a badass move from the staff, which they say is the standard because they know the strips come in a bit on the small side. For what it's worth, I think this is the Clyde's I'll be frequenting because of the spacing and atmosphere, but also just because of the distance and same quality menu. read more

If I'm going to be spending close to $60 bucks on chicken sandwiches I would like to get sauce on the side with my meals. The women at the window said they're a dollar each. I get it, I can just pay for it, but why? If I'm spending so much money already. The food itself was great tasting. We decided to eat indoors, because it was hot outside. While we waited some ladies near the counter/behind the counter were having a heated and loud discussion dropping f bombs left and right in Spanish and English. We have a 2-3 year old and not the atmosphere we were expecting. It was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of customers. We used to come here often a few years back and it had always been family friendly, this didn't feel like the case this time around. We almost got up several times to complain but also didn't want someone spitting in our food or something for complaining. On our way out I saw a cockroach dying by the bathroom/kitchen. Could have come from outside or from the kitchen. Either way it was completely disgusting and worst way to end our already bad experience. They run the whole place with 2 people, who are often overwhelmed, and it's clear that they are trying cut costs at every corner. The serving portions are very small for what you pay compared to other similar restaurants. It tastes pretty good, the menu isn't intuitive, as you can't order single entrees and any sauce you want costs extra. $1.50 for a little cup to dip the very few fries you get. Management needs to learn that the more they invest, the more they get out. I really wanted to like Clyde's Hot Chicken, but unfortunately, my experience through the drive-thru left a lot to be desired. I ordered a chicken sandwich meal and asked for a couple of simple modifications--putting the pickles on the side and swapping the waffle fries for crinkle fries (which are the same price). To my surprise, I was told that neither of these basic requests could be accommodated. I get that every restaurant has its policies, but refusing to make minor adjustments that wouldn't cost them anything extra just doesn't make sense. These aren't over-the-top customizations; they're basic preferences that most places are more than willing to honor. The drive-thru associate wasn't rude, but she also wasn't helpful--and while I don't blame her personally, it's clear that Clyde's has some rigid and frankly frustrating policies that take away from the customer experience. If I'm paying for a meal, I should be able to enjoy it the way I like it. Unfortunately, it felt more like a fast food assembly line than a place that values its customers. This was the worst experience I've had with this restaurant. The cashier would not let me order waffle fries. She literally said my combo only comes with regular fries. Then she tried to convince me that the drink she gave me was the correct size for the combo. It's literally a kid's drink cup. I got the 12 pc wings and it was packed with flavor. It was spicy, sweet, and well seasoned. The wings were also really juicy. I asked for pickles on top and they were the fat juicy kind that you can find at Disneyland. Overall, I would come back for the food but be aware that it's fried made to order so it takes about 20min. Or they have online ordering so maybe I'll do that next time. This Clyde's must have a vendetta against its customers. Myself and my friends have all eaten here at different dates and times and they always seem to less the order up. Most recently I ordered a 1930 heat level and an original sandwich for my child. They put the 1930 in the box marked original. At first I thought they didn't put enough spice on the sandwich until I heard wailing from the other room. Will most likely never be going to this location or the franchise ever again. Today me and my family went in and you guys had no strips. Btw we came in at 11:51, how do you not have strips?! And it's lunch time! So instead we got the Clyde's original sandwich with original seasoning, with fries and a drink. The fries were very old and had zero seasoning. My mum's lil clucker was old. The actual piece of chicken was old and had no original seasoning whatsoever and I asked for original seasoning. And it all makes sense why we didn't have to wait a long time for the food... bc the food was old!! We were dining in and like the drink station was out of order so then we have to bother the lady working the register area, for refills, what's up with that? My mum wanted a tea that you guys usually have that is bomb but you guys didn't have that either!!! Something is AWFULLY wrong with that picture. And there is always homeless people hovering around the property which is not ok. You guys really raised the prices and you guys are worth it but from this day forward, I will not be coming back. I like Clyde's but this one here lol the customer service is ridiculous you order a coke they give you coke 0 or diet whatever they have there. They charge for sauce which is ridiculous for the amount they put on your sandwich and this is the first Clyde ever that I have been too that does not give at least one free sauce. And then you charge a dollar for a small size if you're gonna charge at least be decent and have a bigger size sauce. The sandwich would taste much better if they weren't stingy with their sauce. I live in Chino but I'll keep going to Fullerton where the customer service is good and they at least give you one to two sauce as well as a good amount of sauce on your sandwich!! Maybe you should have a Fullerton come and train yours just saying might help. read more
