I don't know what is going on with Egg N Bird, but my visit this week was completely different experience than my past visits. First off the menu is pretty much gone. There used to be 9 breakfast food options that are no longer available. There were 5 rice bowl options that have been reduced to 2, and the 5 sandwich options are now down to 3. I'm sure for operation costs, they've had to cut down and just sell their top sellers? That's what I'm assuming because why else would you eliminate 75% of your menu? I was hoping to get some of the breakfast options for my kids and a few of the rice bowls, but since breakfast was no longer available, and I didn't really have many rice options, I just picked up the Korean bowl. I came home and ate the bowl and it was awful. The chicken was so so dry, it honestly tasted like they had gotten a leftover piece and threw it in the fryer again to warm it up. I'm so sad because I loved this place so much. But, with such a limited menu (we mainly came because my kids enjoyed the breakfast menu) and the food being so bad now, I don't think I'll be back. read more

Haven't you heard Bird is the Word! So if you're a foodie not trying this place would be absurd! Ok so let's get down to business here, I got the Egg and Bird Burger or sandwich and Chicken Strips. I must say the chicken was pretty dang juicy and with that first bite it popped that egg and made it all runny and messy! I was on the constant slurping, sucking and biting with this situation but definitely a fun one. The Chicken Strips were also juicy AF and that Crack Sauce they give you was the game changer! I'm not a sauce person but this was hitting my tastebuds like no other! The service was pretty good and the shop is pretty chill with a lot of traffic with all the to go orders but still a cool little spot to eat at. And that's my take on it, Peace and out. read more

Family of two adults and two kids finally get the chance to eat at Egg N Bird at Upland. The restaurant is bright, modern, clean and fast food vibe. Basically you order and then pick up your food at counter. They are friendly and make good suggestions. We ended up ordering chicken n waffle: waffle is good, seems fresh, fried chicken strips can be more flavorful. Korean bowl; it's basically egg, rice, and Korean fried chicken strip with spicy mayo sauce on the egg. Two kids breakfast menu items. We are pleasantly surprised the breakfast menu is extended to 2pm on weekends! Breakfast hour is weekday til 10:30am. The restaurant is small, so pick up to go is more popular choice. I got the egg and bird sandwich, which includes a giant chicken tender and then a baby chicken as an egg on top. For extra protein, there's also a slice of bacon thrown on top. The honey sauce was just beautiful. The flavors were so good to satisfy my breakfast hunger that I inhaled the entire sandwich in 10 minutes. The burger isn't exactly small either, it's a pretty decent size. While the $8.99 is a bit steep for a burger, the size and flavors gave me a good reason to splurge a bit. The gentleman taking my order and ringing us up was also very friendly and bright despite it being so early in the morning. I envy his energy. If I were to ever crave a nice chicken burger again for breakfast or am waiting for my car to get maintenance in the area, this would be the place I go. read more

Wow! So glad yelp guided my son and I here. We wanted comfort food but, didn't want to drive too far. This was a 20 min drive but, well worth it. The restaurant is small with limited indoor seating but, otherwise clean and organized. We ordered the Country bird sandwich combo which comes with a drink and fries. The hot honey they add is amazing! It is the perfect pairing to the savory sandwich. The fried egg & bacon are also the perfect addition to this greatness. This was our first time here so we played it safe with the sandwich but, I can't wait to come back and explore other items. Everything looks delicious. The crack sauce is a kind of house sauce that resembles a spicy mayo. I like their different takes on a chicken sandwich - Korean, Vietnamese banh mi, nashville. They drastically cut back on the number of menu options, including all of our favorites: the island bird and loco bowls. They took off the loco sauce altogether and the macaroni salad. They also removed all of their breakfast and don't open till 11 now. I don't think we will be back very often, if at all, and it seems, based on how dead it was in there at lunchtime today on a Friday, that most people feel the same way. read more

Hidden gem near the south Upland Home Depot that you should not miss! I was walking into Subway and saw the sign for Egg N Bird and decided to give that a try instead of super corporate subway with their fake bread etc. To my surprise I found a very helpful cashier named Joshua that helped me understand a healthier option. Grilled Chicken Avocado Bowl was the choice I made for my meal today. Super fresh ingredients coupled with amazing customer service = me returning many times in the future! There are some various tables and chairs that can accommodate different party size but space is limited. There are plenty of parking spaces out front. We ordered the loaded fries and the loco bowl. Not growing up near Portland, I was always envious of those lucky few who had a gotten a taste of The Reggie from Pine State Biscuits. For years I held it up as the epitome of breakfast sandwiches and I looked for a facsimile copy of it local to the L.A./O.C. area. But now I think I found that clone in Upland. Substitute the fresh-baked biscuit for a brioche bun and trade the gravy for a tangy sauce, and you have one Reggie clone, The Egg N Bird sandwich. The same ingredients-Fried Chicken, Fried Egg, Bacon, American Cheese, Spicy Honey, and Crack Sauce--waiting for you means this sandwich is packed full of morning energy goodness no matter what time of the day you have it. The sandwich was good but nothing to super rave about. If anything I should have added more Sauce. But the Dirty Fries were phenomenal. That Crack Sauce was great. Way better then Dave's Hot Chicken sauce. The Fries themselves were season Fries style like Popeyes which I LOVE. These are definitely crave worthy. Service: It was pretty straight forward. Nice dude at the counter. Answered my questions and helped me with my order. Ambiance: I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and inside wasn't busy but alot of customers came in for online pick up orders. Egg n Bird is located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. This location has indoor short table seating only. Service was friendly and helpful with making suggestions on what to try. I tried the banh mi chicken sandwich, Korean bowl, dirty fries, avocado crunch salad and the banana pudding, Everything was outstanding with the exception of the salad . The banh mi was so flavorful and crunchy but juicy. The Korean bowl was fantastic with the fried egg and the dirty fries were so bad in the best way! Definitely get the banana pudding ! The salad is a bit lackluster - the toppings are limited and the dressing is a prepackaged item. Ordered chicken and waffle. The chicken tenders were dry. Waffle was good but it would be better if it included the hot honey and butter like described. It was missing from my order. The syrup they give is corn syrup. Not maple syrup. I called to notify them of the missing items and the employee was apologetic and said they don't have hot honey anymore. The food was amazing! However, I ordered delivery on the website of the restaurant and they messed up the order and put it as a pick up? As you can imagine, it was incredibly confusing and we were starving by the time we figured out why our food hadn't arrived. The workers were very kind and gave us extra food to make up for the mistake and it was delicious as well! AMAZING service. They took great care of the food I ordered. I ordered a large amount of food and everything was fresh! John at the front cashier specifically had amazing customer service. He is so outgoing and made me feel welcome. This is typically a spot I come order from since it's nearby and I LOVE it. I wish their were more locations. @eggnbird makes a mean chicken sandwich! Today, I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich topped with a fried egg and the new King Hawaiian Grilled Chicken and Avocado sandwich. Both sandwiches were great, although the Nashville had an edge over the grilled chicken. With the Nashville, there were several flavor profiles that stood out individually, and also all worked together to make a cohesive and delicious mouthful. I could taste the egg, the pickles, the sauce, and even the pepper on the coleslaw. There were so many outstanding flavors. The grilled chicken sandwich was great, don't get me wrong. It was covered in a creamy, mouthwatering cilantro aioli that was to die for. The thing is, though, that was the only flavor you tasted. For me, any other flavors were drowned out by that delicious sauce. Which, if that's my only complaint, they're doing pretty good. read more

I've been eating occasionally at this place since they've opened, and while I sometimes crave it, it's only because it is nearby, not because they serve amazing hot chicken. In fact, if you are looking for hot chicken, this is not the place. This place is more for simple and sweet fried chicken sandwiches. While they do a decent job at it (definitely better than I could ever make at home), I never feel too good after eating here, hence waiting a few months before eating there again. Staff is young, so service is as expected lol, food price is outrageous in my opinion, really overpriced for the size, but the food taste is not bad at all. I definitely prefer other places, so I'd only go here if I just don't want to drive far. The restaurant itself has a nice ambience, nothing fancy, but you can tell it's on the "newer" side. Came here on Friday a little before 9pm & it was super empty. I thought they were closed but it was actually open for another hour or so. I opted for the wings combo (got bbq & Buffalo) with fries and a drink while my husband got the tender combo. It took a bit to come which I guess is always a good thing since that means it's somewhat fresh. I believe they ran out of their regular fries so we got the waffle fries. The bbq was really good but the Buffalo, omg the heat that came with it, I wasn't ready. The service was good, the ladies working there were really nice and I was watching them be amongst each other and it looked like a fun team to work with. I love the interior design of this place. It's so bright, colorful but not too crazy. Overall I'd probably come back if I had no where else to go but it's not gonna be at the top of my list. read more
