Italian dishes made fresh and even to go options galore. It's like a boutique deli grocery store. Parking: small free parking lot on site ( literally only 4 spaces) + handicap parking. There is a lot across the street you can park at as well. Ambiance: Rustic, quaint, casual. But cute enough to have a date at as there is limited seating. Trust me, if your date likes some good Seating: seat yourself. small tables though, up to 4 maybe 6 people max. And cute two people tables for a sweet date. Food: Prosciutto de Parma with pesto mayo is my go to. I even ask for them to today it because I like the miserable melted. I'll be honest and say I don't like cheese... Except the mozzarella they have here, it's exquisite. Secret ingredient is there pesto mayo. It elevated an already tasty sandwich to an incredibly delectable masterpiece with the prosciutto slightly toasted. Turkey Sandwich: hearty and so fresh. My husband loves this. The lunch box is pretty pricey and was a bit disappointing. For $17.95 you get a 6" cold sandwich, one side, pickle, and chocolate hazelnut truffle. I tried the Padua Special sandwich. It had a decent amount of mortadella, salami, and capicolla in it. It was good but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. For my side, I ordered the Pasta Rigatoni Antipasto. This is where I was pretty disappointed. It came in a condiments size plastic cup. Literally two to three bites. Inside is nice and modern looking. They also have refrigerators and freezers stocked with prepared foods, plus a deli counter offering freshly made sandwiches. Here's what we tried: -Egg salad sandwich - Just okay. It was pretty basic (mostly eggs and mayo). I asked them to add mustard, which definitely helped give it more flavor. -Prosciutto sandwich - Also just okay, nothing particularly standout. -Arancini & meat arancini - These were from the cold case, and I took them home to heat up. Unfortunately, they weren't very good--likely had been sitting there a bit too long. -Lemon blueberry ricotta cake - From the refrigerated case, and again, just okay. UPLAND update: A downright delightful deli with outstanding sandwiches and nifty small scale store with goodies from here to Italy. I got the Wednesday special which was stacked eggplant. $8.99 August 2025. Not overwhelmingly good but good enough. In the past, my sisters shared the Padua special- a special sandwich it is. Y.U.M. So much meat and totally shareable. They sell freshly homemade pasta in various styles, It's must try next visit. Very clean establishment. So, I've been trying to try a sandwich from this place. So far I'm 0 for 2. Apparently, in order to be able to try one of their sandwiches you have to come as soon as they open and make it your breakfast because if you try to have it for lunch it's not going to happen because they run out of bread. How does a place that makes sandwiches run out of bread 2 days in a row? Anyway, I tried their fettuccine Alfredo and I must say it was pretty delicious. Amazing food! I ordered the caprese sandwich and added hot soppressata and balsamic to the sandwich. It was so tasty, the fresh bread made the sandwich near perfect. The desserts are fantastic too. I stopped by Padua this morning after a dentist appointment because it's close by and my wife and I have always enjoyed the sandwiches here. I wanted to surprise my wife by bringing her lunch at work, and since she has a student teacher helping her, I even thought it would be nice to grab an extra sandwich for them as well. When I walked in, the restaurant had just opened and it wasn't busy at all. I approached the counter and told the employee I wanted a Padua Special and a salami and cheese sandwich, but I was waiting for a quick text from my wife to confirm the third sandwich. This only took about a minute. After placing the order, I noticed on the menu that the salami and cheese sandwich normally comes with mayo, which my wife doesn't like. I politely asked if they could please leave the mayo off. At that point, the older woman making the sandwiches started visibly reacting--shaking her head, shrugging, and acting irritated. I let it go because I was just looking forward to getting the sandwiches and heading out. A couple of minutes later I got a call from my brother (who works with me), and since I was already there I asked if he wanted a meatball sub. He said yes, so I went back to the counter and politely asked if I could add one more sandwich to my order. That's when the situation became very uncomfortable. The older woman making the sandwiches began shaking her head, throwing bread around, and acting extremely frustrated. I asked if there was a problem, and she said she had already started the sandwiches. I explained that I wasn't asking to change anything--just to add another sandwich. I didn't understand why that would be an issue, especially since it was simply an additional purchase. Her attitude continued, and the interaction made me feel unwelcome and embarrassed. At that point I considered just walking out, but my wife was already expecting lunch from this place, so I stayed. When I went to pay, I asked the cashier who the older woman was, and I was surprised to learn that she is the owner. Honestly, I was floored. As a business owner myself, I can't imagine treating paying customers this way--especially when they're ordering multiple items and spending over $60. My wife and I have been coming here for years and always enjoyed it, but after this experience I don't think I'll be returning. No customer should feel like they are bothering a business simply for placing an order or asking for a small modification. If I could offer one suggestion: the owner should avoid direct customer interactions if they're going to react this way. Overpriced lunch box - good sandwich. I stopped by Padua while visiting family at the hospital nearby. It's a very cute shop with lots of grab and go novelty food or fresh pasta. I got the tuna salad sandwich lunch box. The sandwich is tasty, it just felt like the lunch box was not worth the price. I truly can't get enough of this place! Their fresh pasta is perfect because I have gluten intolerances. The first time I tried their pasta I knew it would be a gamble. But I felt just fine afterward, no tummy troubles. They offer all kinds of things from olive oil to premade food items that you heat and serve. All I can say is wow! The sandwiches here are absolutely phenomenal. I stopped by to grab a few for lunch, and every bite was packed with flavor. I also picked up some freshly baked bread, which was just as delicious. They make their own pasta in house, which I didn't get to try this time but we'll definitely be back for that! I also noticed they offer frozen meals, which I unfortunately spotted after I had already paid (next time for sure!). I'm assuming the multiple people walking around in black shirts and pants were employees, but no way to tell for sure as all I got were a few weird looks and the rest just didn't even know I was in there. I had a great experience at this establishment, but I couldn't help but notice how poorly one of the employees, Krista (hope I got her name right), was treated by an incredibly rude and entitled customer. While I was placing my order for my family, this woman rudely cut us off mid-order just to ask about something completely unrelated. Despite being in the middle of a rush, Krista responded with incredible patience and professionalism, softly saying, "I'm sorry, can you give me a moment?" That alone was impressive--because I know I wouldn't have handled it so calmly! The woman, clearly not used to waiting her turn, stomped off in frustration. Even after finishing our order, I saw Krista go out of her way to address the woman's concerns. However, it was clear from the body language that this customer wasn't actually looking for a solution--she just wanted to vent. Some people don't want help; they just want to take their frustrations out on someone, and unfortunately, customer service workers become the target far too often. To anyone reading this: Customer service employees are not your personal assistants, and treating them with respect should be the bare minimum. 2nd time coming to this place because the food is great. I met my sister for lunch here today. We ordered 2 tuna sandwiches and a roast beef hot sandwich. We also bought 3 sour dough loaf and 2 snapples. When we got our food, they handed us 2 TB (turkey bread sandwiches) and her roast beet hot sandwich. I brought it to the cashier behind the counter. The older lady who made the sandwiches kept saying "We did not make any Tuna sandwiches, just Turkey". I told her, I know you made the Turkey sandwiches, but it's not what I ordered. She insists that it was on the order receipt. The lady who took the order wrote the wrong sandwich down. The lady behind the cash register, spoke with my sister, and she told my sister that she would replace it at no charge. We offered her the 2 TB sandwiches back (we didn't touch it), but she refuses to take it back. She gave us the 2 tuna sandwiches. Then, she came back 10 minutes later to tell us that her boss wants us to pay for it. Unbelievable! They do not care about their customer especially when it's their fault. Made my first AND last visit today to Padua Pasta Makers. I was so disappointed in every aspect of my visit - from crummy parking to no clear direction in the store, poor customer service, mediocre taste, and unreasonable prices. I was shocked that they had ran out of bread and were no longer able to offer sandwiches and the wait for just some sliced meat/cheese was 35+ minutes. I did not feel welcomed and should have left immediately, but still tried to give them a shot. Since they were no longer making sandwiches (which the cashier shared happens often), I opted to make my own at a table. I was charged $30 for a can of Diet Coke, a few slices of salami, a few slices of provolone, a few slices of roast beef, a few rolls, and a small container of pesto pasta salad. Yikes! Holy smokes, this place is good! My new boss took me here for the first time for lunch, otherwise I would still have no idea what I was missing!
