There's plenty of seating, but this location fills up quick during dinner. I love getting their shrimp skewers with veggies and adding more shrimp skewers and a side salad. Honestly whatever their sauces are are just amazing. From the garlic butter on the shrimp to the lemon dressing for the salad, it's always fresh and so so good! They also have some fun soda options that I don't find at many food spots. Staff is always friendly and food comes out ready and fresh in a good amount of time. I feel like the portions are good too, I usually have leftover for lunch the next day. Recently I also experimented and tried some of the catfish my husband ordered. The service was very attentive for a casual dining, order upfront restaurant, and they were pretty packed on a Sunday at 3:30pm which tells you the food is consistently good. This location is in a busy strip mall area and is convenient when you've had a full day of shopping. Sadly, it is not on par with other locations of this franchise. We stopped by mid afternoon after what seemed like a late lunch rush. They were out of ice, on a warm day, and had to borrow ice from another restaurant just so patrons wouldn't have to drink warm drinks. Really could use an upgrade to their ice maker. The food took a bit longer than usual to come out and as seems to be the theme for this visit, not up to par with other locations. The zucchini side was very lackluster flavor wise and completely overcooked, while the grilled fish portion was smaller than that of which I have been used to receiving here. They also somehow ran out of some sauces, and this was mid-day. So we had to wait for some to be found about 20 min. later. While the employees are nice and try to be accommodating, this location is not up to par with other locations in the chain. I'd skip this one if you have other locations to compare to. read more

I had only visited this restaurant one time before many years ago. I really wanted to satisfy my taste for a fish sandwich, so, I chose this place, and that's exactly what I ordered, along with the fries. I used the kiosk so there was little interaction at the point of sale, but I did have a few questions, and the Manager (I didn't get her name) was great. The one thing I did notice, that didn't sit well with ME, is the fact that the young lady bagging the to go orders allowed them to sit way too long. On top of that, she never called one name for those orders while I WAS THERE, and 2 of the orders were for customers that were waiting when I walked up. One of those customers made friendly conversation with me, and we discussed her wait as she pondered over if that was in fact her order (which turns out it was), followed by the gentleman who appeared to be a bit bothered. Mind you, I waited a little over 20 minutes for my food, so I witnessed this, just to address any 'how do you know questions in advance.' Point is, if you place a to go order you may want to make sure you sit/stand up front so you can be mindful of what may in fact be your food just sitting, waiting to be bagged. Oh, and, 'no' she was not so busy that she couldn't take the few seconds to bag their orders. She didn't appear to have an attitude though, so no complaints there. Now, on to the food itself. The fish was light, and crispy, however, it had a lot going on-the greens, the pickled onions, the tomatoes, the sauce- a lot of different flavor components. The condiments, I'll just say, overwhelmed the fish a bit, so I found myself having to remove some of the "extras" and take a piece of the fish off just to see if it was tasty, and I did enjoy it. My wife and I went to the Upland CA Fish Grill Tuesday night for Taco Tuesday and we were very happy with the service, especially the server Ava that helped with our order. I know I am very picky but I don't care some of the options on fish and shrimp tacos and Ava was able to remove them and got our drinks and I was extremely impressed when a co-worker started our order but with all the changes we were requesting, she came over and treated the previous server professionally and exhibited very good training skills and took over from him per his request, all very good and shows the employees are treating each other with compassion and respect. We found a table that another couple just left from and I asked another employee for a towel I so I could wipe down the table and she advised me she would come over and clean it and then the original person that was helping me (I think he was in training), was very courteous and wiped down the table and thanked us for coming. The food was good except the chips (to well done and brittle), but I did not say anything to anyone, I was having a very good experience and did not want to spoil that. I usually only see service close to this in a fine steak restaurant. I appreciate their attention to service, that is usually what brings me back. It seemed that our order was either forgotten or kept on getting pushed back. Everyone got their meals in ample time. The salmon portion I got for my sandwich was thin sliced. They confirmed that was the actual size. However, in previous visits I've seen others have an appropriate portion. For the other plate, the rice & zucchini were undercooked (inedible). Overall, the service and quality of food were mediocre. I've been coming to this establishment for nearly 6 years, I'll pause from returning to this site.
