This is our 5th return. We enjoy this place the ambiance is nice, u can tell it used to be a Mimi's restaurant by the brick walls. I normally get eggs florentine with hashbrowns but recently have been getting the pancakes, the Nutella banana & the PB banana ones. The syrup always comes warm & we really like that. Today I got the veggie omelet & it was hefty. Lots of veggies & super filling! The ladies that take our order & seat us are always friendly helpful & quick. 10/10 the only complaint is the coffee is pretty watered down. read more

We went there for dinner arriving at 4:15 on a Saturday and was very good experience. Our first time at this location and servers were very good, took our drink orders and then our entrees. I ordered the taco salad with carne asada no tomatoes or guacamole and was pretty good size and tasted very good. I think worth the $16.00. While in the area for an appointment the family and I decided to eat at a local eatery before we headed to another appointment across town. I so happened to see Brandon's Diner while pulling into the plaza nearby my appointment. I quickly looked it up. I was sold! We were quickly seated upon arrival and Mia was our server. Mia brought us the regular menu along with thier weekly specials for the day. We all were excited to try this location. Our drinks came quickly. We overlooked the menu it all looked good. We ordered the Carnitas plate that was in the weekly specials. I wanted fish n onion rings which was on thier regular menu along with chicken tenders with tortilla soup. The soup came out first so my mother-in-law could begin eating. Our food was perfect, service was perfect, Mia was very attentive. Before we left we decided to take an oreo shake to go. Food is fresh, seasoned to taste and serving size was amazing! Hubby had the chilaquiles breakfast and couldn't finish it but it was yummy!! Potatoes were perfect and beans were creamy and tasty! It's true I praise innovation and coloring outside the lines thinking when it comes to breakfast. I love when restaurants remix hashes or skillets by putting a different kind of meat or new ingredient to the process. Elk hash, walleye hash, hatch chile pork hash, &c...--it's all good to me. That said, I also do love when a restaurant can make the classics confidently and with authority. When I asked how their corned beef hash was, they said it was damn good. And it was. Nothing added, nothing new in the preparation--but they made it like they've been sling cbh for decades. Not to mention their plain hash browns was perfect. They had mixed in the crispy edges into the pile rather than leaving it as an upper and lower shell on the pile. I love when places do this. The rest of the breakfast was good. They maybe buttered my sourdough too much. The eggs were less runny than I would've liked. And I only got 3 refills instead of my usual 5-6 as the server almost ignored checking on me and my coffee for the last ten to fifteen minutes of my meal. I did not like that as I want as much coffee you can make while I'm there. But, otherwise, the meal was impeccable. I like the space was kind of big and comfortable and not jammed into together. There were a lot of cops there at breakfast as it seems to be a popular morning spot for them. But that just says to me the food is a good and a good value because that's where police tend to congregate. Today was a good day to try "Menudo" from Brandon's Diner. They offer it on the weekends and it's made from scratch...homemade. It was absolutely delicious. They offer it in two sizes...small and large bowls with all of the condiments. It did not disappoint. If you're in the area and you enjoy "Menudo," please look no further than Brandon's Diner. I promise you won't be disappointed. My husband and I come to Brandon's often. We love their food specials and friendly service. We recently visited and tried the Avocado toast. I had them add chorizo to the top of the toast and it was like something I've never tried before. The portion was very generous and delicious! I recommend ordering this the next time you are in. I'm a sucker for diners...this Brandon's use to be Mimi's Cafe a long time ago. The inside is really clean and nicely decorated! Everyone was so nice and attentive! Enjoyed our Sunday morning breakfast at Brandon's today with the family. What made it exceptional was our waitress Karla. She was very pleasant and receptive to filling the cafe de olla void. It was fun collaborating some ideas. She was great at getting our food to us promptly and always checking if we needed a refill on coffee. My Mom wanted some hot chilli and she brought her some habanero chilli that was really tasty. We will be back and hope we get to have Karla as our server again. We had fun conversating with her and the food was yummy. I had the Rueben eggs Benedict and my husband had the Chillaquiles Verdes with carnitas. The food was delicious. 11/6/24 Trying a local favorite, BRANDON's is sure to satisfy your (pumpkin pancakes) cravings! Met up with our dear friend at one of his favorite restaurants. He's gotten around to about 19 check-ins at this special place, they must be doing something right! We were seated right away by our wonderful server. Coffee was served to warm us up a bit. I was craving pumpkin pancakes and I just went with a simple combo with scrambled eggs & bacon. Hubby ordered his usual, chorizo. Our friend ordered a burrito. First time we been here. We like the other diner down the street but we wanted to try something different. The place wasn't crowded on a Saturday night so service was good and hostess was friendly. The menu was kinda too big so took a while to decide what to get, breakfast, dinner and good selection of Mexican food My only complaint is that the senior menu is only Mon-Fri I had fish and chips, a little oily but ok. This is a dinner, with a bar. Located in a former MiMi's Cafe building. It is tastefully renovated. The food a large menu of burgers, sandwiches, Mexican, breakfast, as well as milkshakes & dessert. We did the cheese burger served with fries which is a simple burger with good flavor the vegetables are fresh the patty is juicy. Fries are nothing special not bad but definitely restaurant supply. Now about the desert I did the banana split. A classic trio of vanilla, chocolate & strawberry each with matching syrup and whipped cream all toped with candied pecans. Not fancy just good . Service is friendly , attentive, & fast. Value prices are good falling in line with other dinners. Actually for our meal the price was less than some fast food places. read more

This has to be the worst experience we've ever had going to Brandon's and we've been to Brandon's for several decades. My wife has long COVID and neuropathy, which means that she can't be around a lot of people. In the past when we visited Brandon's, they've always accommodated us with a table that's away from everyone else. However, today was an exception. When we went in, we asked for a table in the rear. The servers were going to accommodate us, until this guy came from the back and said the area where we want to sit was closed. I explained my wife's situation, and he said I'm sorry, but we cannot open the area because we have no servers. He even suggested that we go to another restaurant. Are you serious! Supposedly he claimed he was one of the owners, and to turn us away, the way he did, was simply rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. We spend upwards of $100 each time we visit Brandon's, and I guess we will be spending that elsewhere. read more

Recently had my surprise 70TH birthday, did my husband's 75TH birthday last year. My brother came to visit from Lansing, Michigan and I put together a nice lunch with family in the Banquet Room. That's important when getting breakfast. They have a ton of options as well which makes this place good for groups and/or picky eaters You get a lot of food for the price which is important in this day and age. Brandon's Diner is a mom and pop local chain that has the delicious recipes to survive expansion but still family owned and operated so I can count on good service every time I come here. I have been a fan since I was in high school, but this location is one of their newer ones and it has become one of my favorites. As a breakfast lover, I love that they have breakfast available all day. This location has a full bar and plenty of seating. When eating alone, I like to sit at the bar. When with company, they have really nice booths and tables in the main seating area. Huge generous portions and affordable pricing despite inflation. My usual order is their 3 Little Pigs Breakfast that comes with 2 eggs of your choice, ham, sausage, bacon, and 2 sides. I opt for the biscuit and gravy and the French Toast. I have been here with family, friends, and even recently able to share this childhood spot with my boyfriend and everyone loves it. My friend sent me on a food and drink trip a couple of days ago. This was one of my stops, so close to my home. I was a bit sad at first because this used to be Mimi's Café. It's been tough to drive by here almost every day and see something different than Mimi's. Well, I finally stopped by and went inside, which was also tough. But thanks to my special friend's generosity, I now like this new Brandon's Diner! The outside still looks like the old Mimi's, but with a new Brandon's sign. The inside, much different and actually a bit livelier. It was sad to see the front door window boarded up. Whoever keeps trying to break into here and keep stealing, please stop or hopefully you got caught! Since I was only picking up, was nice to see a nice and clean inside of the restaurant. The worker man who helped me at the front counter was very nice as well. So, my friend ordered me this super giant Carne asada burrito!!! It was super yummy and was so big that it took me about 3 days to eat it! It was very tasty as so the salsa was! I thank my friend for sending me here on this food adventure. The staff here are friendly and quick when it comes to customer service. I love the varieties of mimosas that they offer I couldn't decide so I got a flight ( what better way to start brunch ). I would rate the flight a 9/10! I order the Kitchen Sink Omelette with French Toast. The food was tasty I just wish the French toast had a little more cinnamon so for that I rate it a 9/10. The table next to me was looking at my plate soon as the waitress came out. One of the ladies replied I need a mimosa flight too. Went there for breakfast and the service was good. Food, not so much. I have never returned food before and especially not breakfast. I mean there's decent to great breakfast, I have never had BAD food. Sadly, until today. I ordered the chorizo omelet, I think called Maria's omelet. It arrived crusty looking. The cheese was cooked solid on the omelet as if it was made yesterday and put back in the oven. No meltiness whatsoever. Took a couple bites hoping it was decent but not at all. I actually sent it back, it was so bad. I can't believe a chef would have allowed it out of the kitchen, it looked awful. The 2 people I went with weren't impressed with their breakfasts although they were edible at least. Had gone to a different Brandon's all the time, years ago- when I lived in the area. Would not go back here after this. Sadly. Maybe it was a fluke but we go out to breakfast all the time and have never been so disgusted. Gave 2 stars for the service, not the food. read more
