We first came in and sat there for at least 10 min without getting seated. It's really slow as well after we get a table and another table got seated but they got there drinks and chips while we sat there for 15 with service. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Chili's. After being seated by the hostess, my party and I waited approximately 30 minutes without a single waiter or waitress coming to our table to greet us or even take a drink order. Multiple employees walked past us several times and completely ignored us while other tables around us were being helped. What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing one employee focused on changing the television to watch sports instead of assisting customers. After waiting far too long, I asked the hostess if I could speak to a manager. Instead of getting help, the hostess walked to the back and informed the crew, who then looked out at us, yet still no manager came to speak with me. This was very unprofessional and unacceptable customer service. No customer should have to sit for 30 minutes without being acknowledged. I came here recently to get the 3 for me deal after craving the honey chipotle chicken crispers. The price of the deal has gone up over time but the amount of food was still pretty much worth the price. The chicken crispers were a good size and there was a good portion of fries. I will say that the size of the cup of soup was small and I wish it was bigger. Our server was really nice and attentive and we were seated quickly. In the last 5 to 6 visits that I have came, weather it was for happy hour with friends, or dinner with the family during rush hour with no reservation, this place has not let down. I am a sucker for the 3 for 10, because I love some chicken enchilada soup, and a burger. The soup was hot, the flavor was there, and the tortilla stripes were crunchy and fresh. The burger was c'est si bon! I recommend the old timer over their attempt at a smash burger. Although very similar in nature I love veggies on a burger and the old timer gives all of that and den some. The triple dipper is also a nice choice. If you want a few different things or are just indecisive. I will say the south west egg rolls have become lack luster over time. They have very little chicken or filling at all, and are more breading and salty then anything. However that one thing does not out weigh everything else. I also recommend the mozzarella sticks for my cheese enthusiasts. They are filled to the brim with ooey gooey cheese. And pair perfectly with the marinara sauce. He was on top of every of every of our orders and everything we needed to our satisfaction. He keep going around for our refills, making sure our food was out on time, just overall very hands on . I would asked for Chrys again when we go back. Great customer service and not once did he looked frustrated with so many of us. He also made it extra special by taking care of the cake that we have taken ourselves, and he got the whole crew to sing for my nephew. The Chili's located in Montclair in the same plaza as the Montclair mall, is bullshit. We came in to be seated at 6:22pm on a Sunday for a party of 6 , the wait time was 10 minutes. After 12 minutes we get a text that says our seating was cancelled. I spoke with the host and they added us back to the wait list. 18 minutes later and two other parties of 6 or more were seated before us. I once again ask the host what the issue is and they bullshit that the parties before us were smaller. I tell her that the parties where the same size as ours and she makes up this bullshit lie that they were calling for our party for 12 minutes. Keep in mind we are sitting right in front of them on those little benches. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, they just try to bullshit you like if you're the one that is wrong. BOOTH AREA-1/5 The booth area outside the bar doesn't have it together. My husband and I did one of the 2 for 25 promotional orders and we actually regretted eating here. Our server had a hard time understanding our orders as well as our choice of beers (waiter spoke perfect English but seemed very confused). In addition to a long wait time for our food, our food was cold and gross. My husband ordered a steak and it was freezer burned so badly that he couldn't even eat it. In addition, our server never came to check on our table after our food came in. My husband had to go to the front and ask for a refill on his correct beer (they gave him the wrong beer the first time). My recommendation for this place is to train staff to be better accommodating to people they are serving. Also, it's probably a good idea to replace the cook with someone more experienced. When you have bad customer service mixed in with terrible tasting food, you as a business owner rob yourself of business.
