The space is fully covered, so you can enjoy being outside without the sun hitting you, perfect vibe. A few people in our group ordered sangrias and other drinks, and everything was great. But the real standout was the Peruvian ceviche such a hidden gem. Super fresh, flavorful, and honestly one of the best dishes we had. The food is good for the most part which is what keeps us coming back. We ordered the goat cheese balls for appetizer and were very good but too small of a portion. Went to dinner at Bardot with a reservation for 6 adults and 1 child to celebrate two birthdays. We were seated and welcomed by our waiter Roger, who was absolutely amazing throughout the night. He was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond for our table. Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments during dinner. We ordered the crab cakes and were told they were unavailable. We then ordered lamb chops, which were also unavailable. Thankfully, the food we did receive was amazing and we were still enjoying our evening while waiting for birthday dessert. What completely changed the experience was when the manager, Destiny, approached our table and told us we needed to move to accommodate another party. We explained that we also had a reservation, were still eating, and were waiting on dessert. Instead of handling the situation professionally, her approach came off with an attitude and as though we were an inconvenience for not wanting to move in the middle of our meal. As a manager, professionalism and customer service matter, especially when guests are celebrating special occasions. Better reservation management could have prevented this situation entirely. Even other guests nearby seemed shocked by what was happening. Roger ended up apologizing on her behalf, even though he was not the issue. He truly did his best to save the experience, while the manager never came back to apologize herself. My friend said this was the best meal he's had in a long time! The lamb was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned! My friend said the min jelly was good, and the mashed potatoes were buttery! I had the portobello sandwich, which was so fresh! The burrata was amazing! We both thought the truffle fries were too subtle and the garlic aioli didn't have much flavor, but at least they were crispy and not oily! Service was wonderful :) We had chosen to have the first-available table and were informed we would be seated at a high-top, but they actually upgraded us to a nice outdoor table with a great view! Our waiter was helpful with recommendations for how to cook the lamb, and said he would choose the slightly more rare option so they could cook it more according to our tastes (it ended up being perfect!) Without fail Bardot restaurant located at 206 W. Bonita Ave has impressed us again. Today they were a little busy, but nevertheless, the staff and the major D are completely accommodating when we arrive. We only get smiling faces. They're so wonderful to us. We got the table that we wanted and the food is absolutely exquisite. The salmon, the Seabass, the filet mignon in the appetizers are amazing. This is our staple go to place Only. We want a really home-cooked style meal on another level. This is a five star restaurant and the chef takes his culinary expertise very serious. Not just the food, but what keeps us coming back is the amazing team at this restaurant they are personable and they are wonderful and they have great personalities. This is a breath of fresh air. I met a friend for breakfast. We had reservations for a Sunday morning. The food was great. I got the avocado toast with bacon on the side and it was delicious along with a caramel latte. I ate at Bardot years ago, and had a good experience. We returned to have a little afternoon bite to eat and a round of drinks. Bardot is located in downtown Claremont, right on a corner. We were able to easily find a parking spot on the street right around the corner. Parking can be more of a challenge during prime time. They have a real nice covered outdoor patio, two different dining areas inside, and seating at the bar. We were greeted by a very friendly host who seated us immediately in a booth per our request. It was a nice surprise to see that they still have a special Christmas cocktail menu in effect. I had the Rhub The Right Way (Vanilla Cream Cheese Vodka, Rhubarb Liqueur, Cinnamon Vanilla Syrup, Strawberry, Lemon, Egg White, Graham Cracker Rim, $18). The vanilla and strawberry flavors stood out to me with some creaminess. It has a nice level of sweetness ,and it definitely drinks more like a regular cocktail, than a desert drink. The bartender stopped by to see if I liked it since it was his creation. I definitely enjoyed it. She had the Under The Mistletoe (St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur, Vanilla, Cinnamon Syrup, Champagne, Soda Water, Glitter, Cranberries, Rosemary, $18). This was light and refreshing, and not overly bubbly. The champagne, pear, and cinnamon flavors were noticeable. The Goat Cheese Lollipops ($14) definitely caught our eye on the appetizer menu. The plate comes with four panko crusted lollypops on a bed of honey and roasted almonds. The goat cheese has a nice tang, and the sweetness of the honey pairs with it perfectly. The panko crust and almonds give a nice little crunch. We also had the Crab Cakes ($24). The crab cakes were good. We added a little salt on top which made them a little better. They come with a pretty good sized serving of coleslaw on top for some freshness. Our server, Roger, was very friendly and provided good service. Went here for a birthday. Surprisingly enough you can get happy hour from wherever you sit. And each week night has a special theme. We happened to be there on taco Tuesday. I didn't grab many photos since this was an event and not so much a dinner exploration. Our service was phenomenal and I would go back for that alone. Been coming here for years... These days im a sit at the bar and get a Paloma made. Bartenders are always very cool and full of conversation if it permits. They read the room well. Scallops were cooked perfectly, flavors are almost required and fresh. Usually other places will take a rich tasting approach and I always love how they have balanced this with their particular style of scallops. Came here originally for brunch but didn't realize that was only for Saturdays and Sundays. Wish they had a mini special brunch menu for the weekdays as well! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. You will need to make reservations for their booths however since those seem to all be claimed in advance. I ended up trying one of the drinks on the holiday menu instead and honestly I should have ordered a second one! I love sitting here in the patio enjoying my favorite eggs Benedict. They perfectly pouched the egg, crisped the bacon (I replaced instead of Canadian ham) and the egg muffin perfectly light and toasted. The breakfast potato's could use a longer cook on them. The Gouda burger juicy, flavored, with cheese and truffle fries. Tried the crème brûlée waffle which was large and needed help sharing all our dishes with friends. My friend took me for lunch for my birthday and she has been there two years before and she said it was a great place the food and the ambience. We wanted to sit outside but there was an1hr wait so we settled for inside. First impression the out door sitting wasn't that great so I didn't care. Waited 15 minutes to be fitted and 30min to get our food. Then when the food arrived the salad ( Greek Salad) was dry we had to ask for dressing. We also order bread basket ( it sounded like verity of bread in the basket) with some kind of dipping sauce. No it was a tiny baguette old and stale. We told the waiter to take it back. The salad was good once we added the dressing but for supposedly upper class restaurants the experience was not good!!!! He wanted to bring the manager but we said no ...because I had no intention of going back. My friend said they had a great happy hr and the bar area was nice. Used to come here a lot for beer around a decade ago back when I lived in the area. So glad to see it still around. Recently came back right before a concert to actually try some of the food this time. Cocktails are unique, thought the Banh Mi one was absolutely genius. Ordered the spicy ahi tuna tartare, the crab cakes, and goat cheese lollipops as appetizers. This would have been sufficient for two people, but we also ordered the Steak Salad and Vegan Pasta. Goat lollipops were very interesting; almost like a dessert. The flavor was a little too strong to eat past a second one, though. Service was a little slower than before, but it seemed to have gotten a lot busier even on weekdays (great for them!). We were outdoors. Today was Mothers Day. This is one of my favorite restaurants and the experience today was mid at best. The food took an extremely long time. The table next to use ordered the same time as us, they received their food and were almost finished before our waitress came over and jokingly said oh you ate all your food already. Once she checked said the fries is what made the order delayed. When I received my order the fries were incorrect and the server grab the fries off my plate and walked away. Our server checked on us one time through out our meal, the check was not brought to use until we had to ask someone for it. There was an employee in the restroom while my mother when in and was taking up the entire sink area. I understand it's Mother's Day, it was also my birthday and it was disappointing. We had a reservation here for our anniversary. Abe as our server. We enjoyed the baked brie appetizer and hubby got the burger and I got the vegan gluten free pasta. I am not gluten-free or vegan, but the vegetables in the dish were really catching my eye. We ordered a side of grilled asparagus. The baked brie was really good, It was a little loaf and it had like crispy light flaky dough wrapped around it then baked, totally delicious ...I've never done that before. Also, it came with a delicious salad that was tossed with balsamic vinaigrette , and it had diced fuji apples. We got the flourless chocolate cake and it was yummy, light and fluffy. I ordered a glass of the cabernet (I forget the name) it was nice, our server recommended it. I ordered a coffee at the end and the coffee was lukewarm... :( but everything else was really delicious. I liked the ambiance and the staff was nice and the vibe was very mellow and it was busy but not so bad it was stressful. For a Wednesday evening it was busier than I anticipated but still it was a really nice dinner. I loved the booths with the high backs. And candle light. I've heard such good things about Bardot and was so excited to finally check this restaurant out on my birthday this year! Bardot has indoor seating as well as a nice indoor patio. The patio was full when we went so were seated indoors upon our arrival. Our server greeted us right away and was very attentive! We ordered the truffle and Parmesan fries as an appetizer and also split the French onion soup. Both were delicious! I loved the truffle aioli the fries came with, and the French onion soup was one of the best I've had. For my entree I ordered the Gorgonzola burger which was so good and had many different flavors. My husband ordered the chicken chipotle sandwich and said it was incredible. It was also whisky Wednesday when we went so there were specials on the whisky drinks! Good drink and food we delish! Badddddd We didn't see a server for 20 minutes but once we did alll was good however we were asked to leave ??? There was no where in my reservation about a time limit. Soo why were asked to leave I asked if our party was being to loud they said noo noo we have a reservation for this spot. There was no offer to move us to another spot in the restaurant or bar. Sooo I was confused why we were forced to leave. We were drinking and eating consistently so we were not just taking up space and not actively adding to our bill that mindddd you was 600$ for 4 people!!!!!! Before tip. On any Sunday morning, the farmer's market can be found along the street next to Bardot. This is a college town atmosphere and has a great food selection both indoors and outdoors. The food was prepared fresh and hot and service was excellent. I had the kitchen sink burrito, which was everything you could find in a breakfast burrito.
