First visit but definitely won't be our last! Stopped in for a couple bloody marys and a small plate to share. It seemed very busy, but our wait wasn't long for an indoor table on an extremely hot day. They also have a good-sized covered patio with misters, but it was just too hot on our visit. Parking in Claremont is typically on street with an occasional public parking lot, so be prepared to walk sometimes. DRINKS and FOOD: We ordered a couple of the "Queen Mary" bloody marys ($18) which were amazing! Loaded with two strips of bacon, two grilled shrimp, and two giant olives, they were almost a meal themselves. We also ordered the Peruvian Ceviche ($22), a Baqueta sea bass marinated in lime juice, Aji Amarillo peppers, red onions, cilantro, with a "Leche de Tigre" sauce, and tortilla chips...delicioso! Overall, the atmosphere, drinks, and food were very good, but our waitress could have been a little more attentive (silverware, napkins, checking in after the food was served, etc.). Have been here multiple times with family and this place is a hit or miss with the service. Sometimes we'll get a great server , another time our server is MIA so it's very inconsistent. The food is good for the most part which is what keeps us coming back. We ordered the goat cheese balls for appetizer and were very good but too small of a portion. The Peruvian ceviche is what I always order because it doesn't disappoint. The breakfast burrito was OK. Not the best, pretty basic burrito. Wouldn't order again. Such a beautiful little diner style brunch spot with a cute little patio! Tiffany, our server ( ask for her section on Saturdays) was wonderful at answering our questions and helping us decide on a whistlepig specialty bourbon blend made specifically for Bardot and one of the best cups of coffee I've had in my life made my Omari gourmet coffee and tea. We ordered the French toast and famous creme brulee waffle along with a side of bacon . The creme brulee waffle is such a unique experience,you simply must order it . We chose this as a lunch after my grandma's memorial service. I really enjoy their outside eating area so you can really take in downtown Claremont. We were served quickly. Our server was very nice. A couple of us ordered some drinks and a couple had some coffee. Unfortunately, I didn't capture photos of half of the food because everybody ate so quickly because the food is delicious. I would say the star of the show is their special warm Asian chicken salad. The sauce is phenomenal. The chicken is great and everything really comes together in that dish. The Asparagus risotto base was a huge disappointment--I would have enjoyed this fish more with roasted veggies, because I was hyped up to experience an 'Orange glaze w/Vanilla bean cream sauce " in the risotto, but instead tasted like bland porridge with 2 bits of asparagus chunks that I think they could have left out. It was a shame, I also did not taste any orange glaze anything. *For such a high price point on these main entrees and salads-- I had expectations for their dishes to be refined & elevated. My friend said this was the best meal he's had in a long time! The lamb was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned! My friend said the min jelly was good, and the mashed potatoes were buttery! I had the portobello sandwich, which was so fresh! The burrata was amazing! We both thought the truffle fries were too subtle and the garlic aioli didn't have much flavor, but at least they were crispy and not oily! Service was wonderful :) We had chosen to have the first-available table and were informed we would be seated at a high-top, but they actually upgraded us to a nice outdoor table with a great view! Our waiter was helpful with recommendations for how to cook the lamb, and said he would choose the slightly more rare option so they could cook it more according to our tastes (it ended up being perfect!) I ate at Bardot years ago, and had a good experience. We returned to have a little afternoon bite to eat and a round of drinks. Bardot is located in downtown Claremont, right on a corner. We were able to easily find a parking spot on the street right around the corner. Parking can be more of a challenge during prime time. They have a real nice covered outdoor patio, two different dining areas inside, and seating at the bar. We were greeted by a very friendly host who seated us immediately in a booth per our request. It was a nice surprise to see that they still have a special Christmas cocktail menu in effect. I had the Rhub The Right Way (Vanilla Cream Cheese Vodka, Rhubarb Liqueur, Cinnamon Vanilla Syrup, Strawberry, Lemon, Egg White, Graham Cracker Rim, $18). The vanilla and strawberry flavors stood out to me with some creaminess. It has a nice level of sweetness ,and it definitely drinks more like a regular cocktail, than a desert drink. The bartender stopped by to see if I liked it since it was his creation. I definitely enjoyed it. She had the Under The Mistletoe (St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur, Vanilla, Cinnamon Syrup, Champagne, Soda Water, Glitter, Cranberries, Rosemary, $18). This was light and refreshing, and not overly bubbly. The champagne, pear, and cinnamon flavors were noticeable. The Goat Cheese Lollipops ($14) definitely caught our eye on the appetizer menu. The plate comes with four panko crusted lollypops on a bed of honey and roasted almonds. The goat cheese has a nice tang, and the sweetness of the honey pairs with it perfectly. The panko crust and almonds give a nice little crunch. We also had the Crab Cakes ($24). The crab cakes were good. We added a little salt on top which made them a little better. They come with a pretty good sized serving of coleslaw on top for some freshness. Our server, Roger, was very friendly and provided good service. This is one of my bestie's favorite, local spots, and is quickly becoming one of mine. Service is always excellent and the food and drinks always hit. We usually enjoy a few of the appetizers and maybe an entree between the two of us... and of course a few cocktails or mimosas. Today they were a little busy, but nevertheless, the staff and the major D are completely accommodating when we arrive. We only get smiling faces. They're so wonderful to us. We got the table that we wanted and the food is absolutely exquisite. The salmon, the Seabass, the filet mignon in the appetizers are amazing. This is our staple go to place Only. We want a really home-cooked style meal on another level. This is a five star restaurant and the chef takes his culinary expertise very serious. Not just the food, but what keeps us coming back is the amazing team at this restaurant they are personable and they are wonderful and they have great personalities. This is a breath of fresh air. Came here originally for brunch but didn't realize that was only for Saturdays and Sundays. Wish they had a mini special brunch menu for the weekdays as well! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. You will need to make reservations for their booths however since those seem to all be claimed in advance. I ended up trying one of the drinks on the holiday menu instead and honestly I should have ordered a second one! Beautiful brunch views of downtown Claremont, the restaurant is cutely designed and situated on the corner offering nice patio brunch seating. I love sitting here in the patio enjoying my favorite eggs Benedict. They perfectly pouched the egg, crisped the bacon (I replaced instead of Canadian ham) and the egg muffin perfectly light and toasted. The breakfast potato's could use a longer cook on them. The Gouda burger juicy, flavored, with cheese and truffle fries. Tried the crème brûlée waffle which was large and needed help sharing all our dishes with friends. We only needed 30 mins for 1 drink and a quick appetizer for our kids. The service was incredible but one thing threw me off. The tip percentage recommendations were circled. I'm not sure if I'm being petty but listen, I took offense, that was a poor judgment call to be making customers feel they MUST tip that much. And their tip percentages start at 22%. I leave minimum 20% (which I left) but doing that is tasteless and classless and ruined my time there. I was going to say something but my wife said leave it so I did. I don't play that shit though. I am not gluten-free or vegan, but the vegetables in the dish were really catching my eye. We ordered a side of grilled asparagus. The baked brie was really good, It was a little loaf and it had like crispy light flaky dough wrapped around it then baked, totally delicious ...I've never done that before. Also, it came with a delicious salad that was tossed with balsamic vinaigrette , and it had diced fuji apples. We got the flourless chocolate cake and it was yummy, light and fluffy. I ordered a glass of the cabernet (I forget the name) it was nice, our server recommended it. I ordered a coffee at the end and the coffee was lukewarm... :( but everything else was really delicious. I liked the ambiance and the staff was nice and the vibe was very mellow and it was busy but not so bad it was stressful. I've heard such good things about Bardot and was so excited to finally check this restaurant out on my birthday this year! Bardot has indoor seating as well as a nice indoor patio. The patio was full when we went so were seated indoors upon our arrival. Our server greeted us right away and was very attentive! We ordered the truffle and Parmesan fries as an appetizer and also split the French onion soup. Both were delicious! I loved the truffle aioli the fries came with, and the French onion soup was one of the best I've had. For my entree I ordered the Gorgonzola burger which was so good and had many different flavors. My husband ordered the chicken chipotle sandwich and said it was incredible. It was also whisky Wednesday when we went so there were specials on the whisky drinks! Today was Mothers Day. This is one of my favorite restaurants and the experience today was mid at best. The food took an extremely long time. The table next to use ordered the same time as us, they received their food and were almost finished before our waitress came over and jokingly said oh you ate all your food already. Once she checked said the fries is what made the order delayed. When I received my order the fries were incorrect and the server grab the fries off my plate and walked away. Our server checked on us one time through out our meal, the check was not brought to use until we had to ask someone for it. There was an employee in the restroom while my mother when in and was taking up the entire sink area. I understand it's Mother's Day, it was also my birthday and it was disappointing.
