Ok, couple of things that I was not a fan of. 1. Our server took long for everything, we asked for another beer we were done with our food when it came out. 2. We asked for more chips the gran babies wanted more chips and they never came. 3. It took more than 20 minutes to get ice cream for the kiddos. 4. And to get the bill I ended up going to the front to ask for it. I can't say they were busy, because I went i side and there was hardly no one inside. They were more than enough servers for the amount of people that weee in the patio. After waiting so long for everything not sure if the food was really average or I was just irritated by this time. I honestly was not impressed but like i said I was very disappointed for the amount of time we waited.

    Pina colada was just ok.

Came on a Friday night, around 5:30 and it was surprisingly empty. There was no host but someone that appeared to be from the kitchen came to seat us. The menu options are good but we opted to try their combos so we can try different items. I had the two item with chicken flautas and chile relleno. I chose rice and black beans. I like that you can select your sides which is not usual at a Mexican restaurant. I enjoyed my meal. My friend did not enjoy her chicken enchilada because she was expecting the traditional shredded chicken but it's actually chunks of chicken. There are some items that I'd like to try so I'm sure I'll be going back.

Walkway to get to restaurant if you're coming from the parking structure on 1st. Restaurant is on your right.

Came on a Saturday morning for brunch. First, I'll say what a pleasant surprise it was to find this here. Very nice restaurant that I didn't know existed because of its somewhat hidden location. It's off Indian Hill in Claremont, there's plenty of public parking in the structure off 1st street during this time so that was good. I was a little late attending the brunch so I had to figure things out on my own. No one really there to explain where to get foods and drinks but my fault, I was late. I decided to do the bottomless mimosas, probably shouldn't have because I only got one glass although I was there for a couple of hours. It seemed like they were getting ready for the graduation lunch rush and were more focused on that rather than those of us there. They did do a good job of cleaning the table of plates though which was nice because we were a bit tight on space. The important thing here is that the food was really good at a great price. I was impressed with the enchiladas, the omelette bar and the taco bar (which I didn't eat any of). They had lots of good options on the buffet, and if I was hungrier, I definitely would have tried more. That which I did taste was excellent. I really want to down grade them for not providing more "bottomless" drinks but I could have been more assertive since I was paying $10 more for it. I did enjoy the spot, beautiful location and the food was great so I'll keep them at a 5.

i have never been so disappointed in a place as much as i have this restaurant. my friend and i went for their happy hour to try something new, we ordered the habanero wings and nachos but when we got our food it was the saddest looking nachos with cheese, enchilada sauce, and beans. the habanero wings were literally just buffalo wings with habanero slices on top and not to mention the drinks were so incredibly sour.

I went to Casa Maguey in Claremont for brunch on January 11, 2026, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. We arrived around 10:30 a.m., and the restaurant was fairly empty, which made for a calm and relaxed atmosphere. We were seated right away and immediately offered bottomless mimosas. Refills were a little slow at first, but once things picked up, they were nonstop. The woman who kept our glasses full was absolutely amazing she truly made our visit top-tier with her attentiveness and great energy. Only negative which is not entirely a negative is that I kept asking for water and never would get any. Once we finally received water, getting a refill was difficult. We never got a refill on our waters. The food was authentic, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get -- not overpriced at all, just great value for incredible food. Overall, a fantastic brunch spot with great service, amazing food, and a fun, relaxed vibe. I'll definitely be back.

Here's the $20 extra we were charged after using the Groupon. Then the sales tax which totaled $32.60.

If you have a Groupon for 4 people, please advised they'll charge you an extra $20 to the bill and tax you on the full amount so after tip you're still paying a total of about $60. Their cucumber and watermelon frescas were both not very fresh... close to tasting spoiled. Tacos were good with the homemade tortillas but that's about it.

Food is tasty and very spicy!!! I had the buffet. A variety of meats are served during the buffet are bubbling in giant 20 inch cast iron pans. I got the Verde pork simmered in a giant cast iron pan. The meat is tender and full of spicy goodness. It's sauce is really good. The cilantro dressing on their green salad is fabulous!! Can we buy that by the bottle!!!?? (Seriously) I loved the red enchilada! Cheesy saucy yum! The chicken tamale was good I loved the meat inside it. The masa was thick and heavy. Overall I appreciated the warm friendly service . Let's remember I am a parapalegic in a big electric wheelchair. When.zi first entered the little fenced courtyard It felt like Some of the Wait staff was not sure what to do w a lady in a wheelchair. I parked myself at a table moving chairs as I do (A common issue in alot of places) There are some obstacles in the buffet area the salad bar is behind a building post that my chair could not maneuver. The manager was more than willing to assist me and he made me a good little salad. I appreciated the ADA responsiveness once they realized I was there to eat Sunday buffet Overall I give this restaurant a 5 star review! I will be back!!!! The GM made sure I had what I needed. Overall I think the ambiance is cheerful fun and warm.

Came here for the USA soccer game and they did not disappoint! The buffet was the only thing available and it was delicious! Good selection and fresh tortillas made at the taco bar. The items at the buffet are super fresh and flavorful! Sat at the bar and Gabriel was awesome! My first visit here an I'm sure I will be back! I highly recommend for a game and brunch!

This restaurant is so nice ! Good staff, Good food, and Good drinks. Our waiter was friendly and polite. I had the carne asada wet burrito and boy was it flavorful. I had a watermelon margarita and it was strong but delicious on a hot day!

First time here. Came here for Sunday brunch. Place was fun and clean. Great customer service. Had to park in the parking structure. Will come again.

We came in for a late lunch, since there was nobody at the front desk so we just went to the bar to find some seats. This Mexican restaurant is very cozy and spacious. The menus were big on both drinks and food. We decided on chicken soup, Caesar salad with shrimps, chicken nachos and three tacos combo. The food was very delicious in large portions. The shrimp Caesar salad was really good. Hubby enjoyed his meat tacos too. The service was slow at first but it picked up late on. Our bartender was very friendly. A solid Mexican restaurant and bar. We would like to come back for brunch buffet sometime!

Food from the buffet. You get to choose from their choices!

My husband and I came for the weekday buffet and everything was amazing! The food, the drinks, and the service was on point. Roger was our server/bartender and he was exceptional! Very personable, helpful, and accommodating! We sat outside where they have both heaters and umbrellas, depending on your need. Good music could be heard outside on the patio. Going inside you can watch any game playing. Definitely coming back!

A friend I met many years ago at a wine tasting invited me to a Burgundy wine class at Packing House Wines, and I attended. The store is located up a few steps on the north side of the Claremont Packing House. Parking is usually not an issue as there is a big multi-level parking garage on the east side of the packing house. All attendees sat down to a list of wines to be tasted, a printed out copy of the slides being presented, a big burgundy wine glass for pours, water, and a nice little charcuterie plate. The owner Sal gave the presentation, and it was easily the best wine class I have ever attended. He talks pretty fast, but not too fast, and his delivery was excellent, providing an extensive amount of information that was easy to understand. We pretty much learned everything about Burgundy wines from the history of the region, the stringent production laws, different classes of Burgundy wines, and details about all of the different producers and regions we tasted wines from. The class was scheduled for two hours, but it ended up lasting for two and a half hours. It would have been easy to stay for much longer as the class and wines were very enjoyable. The wine class was a little pricey at $125 per person, but this was a bargain as Burgundy wines are expensive. We were able to taste ten 1.5 ounce pours including several Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines (one of them was $350/bottle). My favorites were the '17 Albert Bichot Fixin ($53.99) and the '20 Domaine Lecheneaut Vosne Romanee ($124.99) which I purchased. They have wine classes regularly, and I will definitely return if one catches my eye. They have quite a selection of wines for sale, as well as tasting flights and food from their kitchen.

They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought. I thought the menu looked delicious and there were several things I would like to come back and try and I would go back again.

We decided to try brunch on a Saturday morning. Long story short,…read more I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast. At $38ish, I expected a great meal. It was so underwhelming. 2 eggs cooked differently, one over hard, one over easy, 5-6 potato pieces and the steak was thin, overcooked, and appeared to be a cheap cut of meat. A New York cut would have been great. Wife mentioned norms has better steak and eggs. Called and spoke with a manager Stephanie, not looking for anything, but to express disappointment in the meal for the high price. She offered to mail a gift card for us and invited us back. Took all of my information and never received it. Thanks anyway. Don't think we'll be back.
