Randomly came here on a Friday night after looking for something new to try. Live only 10 minutes away and I will most definitely be back. The white Hokkaido was amazing. The quality of our drinks and customer service was 10/10. Thank you!!

The vibes here were absolutely fantastic for jazz night. People and music here were just lovely. A bit jam packed when I went, but there were seats available.

Fear Dat New Orleans - Persephone Rye Whiskey (barrel aged), Absinthe, and Bitters.

Fantastic distillery with an old-school vibe and top-tier whiskey. The ambience is warm and inviting--perfect for sipping and relaxing. I tried the Fear Dat New Orleans cocktail, made with their barrel-aged Persephone Rye Whiskey, absinthe, and bitters--smooth, balanced, and well-crafted. Their craft cocktails are next-level, and the bartenders are masters of their craft--creative, skilled, and passionate about great cocktail making. Friendly service rounds it all out.

We came on a Friday and had a tasting flight, royal doubletree, and sparkling hugo. Everything was amazing and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff are knowledgeable and attentive, they were very friendly and made us feel welcomed.

Another lovely evening of Blues & Soul with the Elizabeth Hangan band. Chill speakeasy vibe, fantastic spirits and cocktails, friendly bar tenders. The attention to detail didn't go unnoticed either; fresh flowers in the restroom and a groovy intermission playlist. This is truly a hidden gem in the I.E. Reservations recommended for live music events.

What a damn gem this place is. I love it. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly and they have a lot of my favorite go tos on tap!? Like what!? I still think to this day, they have the best "draft" espresso martini out there. Give em a go! And don't be disappointed

Do you by chance allow dogs inside?

We do indeed. We love dogs! As long as they are well behaved.

Would kids be allowed if we're stopping through on our way to or from LA?

No, I am sorry but you must be 21 to enjoy our tasting room.

This year we got the usual great lineup but instead of the DIY style show in a parking lot, Professor Vic moved it to the Cathedral. Located right off Garey, The Cathedral is tough to miss. There's plenty of street parking on Center St and there's also a small parking lot across the street. This used to be a YMCA but it looks like an old church with dark wood flooring, high ceilings and stained glass windows. A very cool venue. How did it sound? Loud. Extremely loud. They also had a huge video board which gave each band a little extra hot sauce. There were a couple of bars in the back and you could also order food. It's air conditioned in there but between the heat (100+ outside at the time) and the amount of bodies inside, it was at least bearable. Mosh for Youth was great as always and while I loved the DIY ethos in the past this felt like a leap forward. The sound, look and venue made this feel big time. I hope future MFY shows take place here...until they maybe outgrow this place too, which would mean more scholarships for the kids. Highly recommended!

There's plenty of parking so I don't think it would be a struggle no matter time of night. The place itself is your average Joe bar. Plenty of seating both tables and booths. They are 21+ up only! They also are reservation priority! Service was great! Our server Jared was very attentive to our party. Constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed. He made sure our glasses weren't empty. He did a great job. Entertainment was awesome! The piano players are super talented, funny and lively. They had great stage presence! I really enjoyed it! Food was average bar food, but let's be real, they're not known for their food. We had the cheddar bacon curly fries and they're the type of food you want once you start drinking alcohol. So really, this place is doing its job. The food wasn't top tier but it definitely caters to crowds need. If you love a loud environment, good music, and dancing this is the place for you. Be prepared for some dark humor. But be prepared to have fun. They honor all different types of celebrations. I would definitely say check this place out and give it a shot! Tons of fun!

Very friendly staff, and everyone had a good time and the crowd was well-behaved . The merch line spatially can be organized à bit better. It's a weird line that wraps around from the balcony to the ground stage. It's ripe for line skippers, but it's mostly unintentional because people are truly unaware where the line starts. Really cheap parking nearby, but you have to download an app, so make sure you have good connection. Lots of extra steps but it was only $2, so not bad! Despite circling around, it was not as easy to get parking like the other down town city concert venues that we've gone to, but no biggie. It was literally right across the street from the venue. We went to go and see the Japanese visual kei band, Jiluka, and people were lined up almost 10 hours before the concert started (vibes for SoCal way different than that of NorCal), so arriving 2 hours before the concert started, unless I shoved myself and moshed to the front, I knew it was cooked, but I got a really good spot on the second floor balcony and the staff was nice enough to point out where to stand to get a great view. Restrooms and the merchandise tables were all on the second floor. The back of the first floor was a bar and in the entrance to the side was also a bar too, I think. Security is way tighter here than all of the other 3 venues I went to to go see concerts during the week, so I'm sure shenanigans have occurred. No canned drinks in certain areas, no chains (definitely warranted this warning since lots of people dressed alt for this show and had to go return things to their cars, etc.), and no re-entry after the concert was over, so we couldn't get the Chiikawa Jiluka freebie that someone was passing out. Boo! The concert stage is bizarrely in the corner, but the sound quality was nice enough. I was definitely able to hear the vocalist better at this venue than I was at the NorCal stop, but the lighting was definitely better at the last event. Even though I didn't risk it in the pit this time, I walked out when people were still there and if I was there during the concert, even with my elevated shoes, it would be much more difficult to view the stage than at the other venues that I've been to. It definitely got super crowded and unlike the other venues, there's also a gap between the crowds and the stage, so security was definitely making sure people weren't crowd surfing onto the stage, but it also meant that when the artist threw something in the crowd, some of them had to jump down, grab it, and try again. My biggest qualm was how HOT it was. Even from the second floor balcony, near a fan, and with it not being super crowded up there, I was sweating. I can't imagine what it's like for the people in the pit. Overall, not awful, but there's better venues out there in SoCal.
