First time at Piano Piano celebrating a birthday. It's a place where you can request sounds to be played in dueling pianos. Recommend reserving a spot online to be guaranteed a table spot and that set aside seating for your party. You can't bring outside food or drinks but you can bring a cake and party decorations. Plenty of parking spaces, it opens at 7pm so it feels early when it's still light out. They play a lot of oldies, 80s and 90s songs. I kind of felt out of place not knowing a lot of the older songs. Younger folks might have a tough time following along the songs. If you want your song played it's like a $20 payment unless no one is there and you might get away with under $20. That accept cash and Venmo. They have a full bar for drink orders and a menu for bar food like pizza, burgers, and fries. Don't have high expectations for the food. You're here for the piano music. You can put in special requests at the beginning of the night to highlight someone's birthday and they might get called up on stage. Or pay $100 and get to sing your song on stage. We come to PianoPiano often and have always enjoyed ourselves, which is why tonight's experience was so disappointing. There were six of us, and each couple had their own VIP Cover Pass. The pass clearly states it is valid for two complimentary walk-in admissions (Guest +1). Nowhere on the pass does it state that only one VIP pass may be redeemed per group. When we presented our passes at the door, we were told that only one could be used for our entire group and that the remaining four people would have to pay. We explained that we had separate passes for each couple and were simply trying to understand the policy. What bothered us most wasn't even the policy--it was how the situation was handled. The floor manager at the door, Rodney, became unnecessarily aggressive and rude while we were trying to clarify the terms of the passes. At one point, he told us he was "too busy to deal with this shit." When I said there was no reason to curse at us, he told us it was a busy night, told us to leave, and denied us entry. We had no issue leaving, but this was around 9 PM on a Saturday, and being busy doesn't justify speaking to customers that way. We are repeat customers and have never experienced this level of disrespect here before. If the policy is truly one VIP pass per group, that restriction should be clearly printed on the pass. Either way, the situation could have been handled professionally and respectfully. Super fun place! Very entertaining, loud but a good vibe overall. Located in the city of Claremont, Piano Piano is a dueling piano bar located right next to the Double Tree Hotel. There's plenty of parking so I don't think it would be a struggle no matter time of night. The place itself is your average Joe bar. Plenty of seating both tables and booths. They are 21+ up only! They also are reservation priority! Service was great! Our server Jared was very attentive to our party. Constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed. He made sure our glasses weren't empty. He did a great job. Entertainment was awesome! The piano players are super talented, funny and lively. They had great stage presence! I really enjoyed it! Food was average bar food, but let's be real, they're not known for their food. We had the cheddar bacon curly fries and they're the type of food you want once you start drinking alcohol. Came here on a Friday night with my husband and a friend. It was a first time for all of us so we didn't know what to except. Cover charge to get in was $10 a person. Service was great. Food and drinks were alright. The show is based off of the audience and their song requests. They explain how it works throughout the show. Basically there is a sheet of paper on each table where you can write down your song request. Requests are played with cash or Venmo tips. We thought the piano dual was awesome. This place is the best of both worlds. A restaurant and somewhat of a karaoke bar. Book your table ahead of time to guarantee a spot. We had a party of 6 and was able to sit pretty close to the pianos. The playing and singing were great. But be prepared for them to roast you if you get on stage. We all had a great time and couldn't stop laughing. This will forever be a core memory for those in my party. The food was decent. I wouldn't say it was memorable. But with a few drinks and some of the classic songs being sung you'll have a wonderful time and not really care about the food. This is good for groups of 4-6 and for celebrations. This place is so much fun--definitely a "the more, the merrier" kind of spot! I honestly wish they'd expand and bring a location to Orange County or even LA County... And let me just say, that drummer was an absolute beast. While the pianists rotated in and out, he held it down the entire time without missing a beat. Service did take a little while to get started--we waited about 15-20 minutes before anyone came by--but once they did, everything picked up and stayed consistent. The staff kept checking in and made sure we were taken care of. One thing that really stood out to me (especially coming from a hospitality background) was how they handled a situation where someone in the front row got sick. It could've easily ruined the vibe, but the staff jumped in immediately, cleaned everything thoroughly, replaced the table, and sanitized the area quickly and professionally. Super impressive. Came here for my birthday with a pre reserved section! Love thqt you can adjust your reservation 2 days before so you can get refunded on any drops. What a fun place! They have options for you to take pictures they display on monitors all night and if you have goofy friends like I do, they may write messages up there too. We were a party of 18 and they have 4 grown adults per table, we were all squeezed together, not much space at all for everyone's food/drinks. Do not come here if you are not willing to spend some money. To start off there was a $15 reservation fee per person , the drinks are kind of pricey and not that great, they want you to pay for song request, the more you pay the sooner they play/perform your song and if someone out bids you they can stop your song, I get it it's "fun" but all I could see if $$$. The guys were for the most part pretty funny but I don't think I would be going back anytime soon. read more

This was our first time here, and unfortunately, we were disappointed with the level of service. We had a 6:30 PM reservation and were seated promptly, which was appreciated. However, it took about 20 minutes before our waitress approached our table, despite there being a minimal crowd at the time and her appearing to manage only a few tables. Throughout the evening, we repeatedly had to seek out staff just to place drink and food orders. On one occasion, food was brought to our table that was not ours, and after waiting another 10 minutes, we again had to find someone to notify them of the mistake. When our platter finally arrived, it was missing the four sipping sauces that were listed as included, which required yet another attempt to locate our waitress. At times, our waitress could be seen in the kitchen on her phone, while two other servers working nearby were consistently attentive and visibly hustling all night. We stayed until 11 PM and once again had to search for her in order to receive our check. Overall, about 6 out of 8 interactions required us to actively look for our server. This type of atmosphere and dining experience requires consistent attention, which unfortunately was lacking during our visit. On another note we loved the show! read more

I recently visited Piano Piano for a last stop on a Saturday date night with my fiancée. We arrived with only a couple hours left in the night for the pianos. I believe they begin at 7pm and end at midnight. We almost didn't go thinking we may have missed all the fun but we were both so glad we did! Upon arriving we had our IDs checked by the security before entering the building who were extremely welcoming. The entrance fee was $10 per person which we found to be such a great price considering how much fun we had inside! We got asked what our seating preference was, assuming they meant if we wanted to sit close or away from the stage. We let them know, just somewhere comfortable, and got a nice comfy booth. I'm sure that can't always be the case, especially at the beginning of a busy night, but we appreciated them even asking. Once we sat down a server came up to us with some waters almost immediately and asked if we wanted to order drinks, but seeing how it was our first time we asked for a little bit of time to look at the menu. It didn't take long for her to circle back and check in on us and take our first order. We aren't big drinkers so we always worry about ordering drinks and not liking them, however we were so amazed at how delicious they were. They weren't overly sweet and had just enough alcohol, not too much to that point where you almost dread taking the next sip. We ended up ordering a jolly rancher shot, gummy bear drinks and a candy caliente sandia on the rocks. The latter being my personal favorite! I want to return just for another one of those drinks. The price for drinks was decent considering what you would pay for a drinks at a bar where you would have to push your way through and here they take your order and bring them to you, no pushing and shoving involved. Needless to say, our server was great! Checking in on us, but not overly hovering! We seen some people order food and later decided we wanted an appetizer, however the kitchen had closed as they do have a last call, our mistake for taking too long to decide. Our server apologized even though it was our mistake for missing last call and offered us chips and salsa. She was honestly great, even though I'm sure she had already had a long night of running back and forth, she still went out of her way when she didn't need to, we were already happy with the night. Lastly, the piano players! Bravo! They truly make the night one to remember! Playing all types of requests all night and making sure all the requests get played. You can pay to personally request a song and you can also outbid the request and have them "STOP THAT SONG" and play another. It's so much fun seeing people outbid certain songs, like something from Backstreet Boys, to then request an N'sync song! We will definitely be back with some friends and can't wait! read more

Sketchy piano bar / "adult show" with overpriced drinks and lazy bartender. Service was slow and frustrating. Our server was very nice, and she did offer that we could order anything from the full bar if we didn't see something on the menu. That goodwill didn't last. I like cocktails, so I ordered a Last Word. About 10 minutes later, the server came back and said they couldn't make it because they didn't have Green Chartreuse. I figured that was fair--it's in short supply. I then ordered a Toronto. Another 10 minutes goes by, and she comes back again to tell me they can't make it because they don't have Fernet Branca. At that point, I'd been sitting there for 25 minutes without a drink, so I just ordered a $13 can of IPA from the menu. While I was drinking my beer, I wrote down five different well-known cocktails (Trinidad Sour, Paper Plane, Naked & Famous, Ward Eight, Monte Carlo). When she came back, I told her to have the bartender pick one she wants to make. Another 10 minutes later, she returns with another beer and says, "Sorry!" and just shrugs. It's loud in there, and she has earplugs in, so I begrudgingly keep drinking the beer. After that, I sheepishly asked if they knew how to make an Old Fashioned. The server said yes. I watched the bartender muddle an orange slice in the glass, pour almost equal parts Bulleit Rye and simple syrup on top of the orange, then add ice and a straw. Needless to say, I was disappointed with that $16 drink. To be fair, this does feel like a dive bar with entertainment, not a cocktail bar. The place itself matches that: run-down Irish pub vibe, ugly carpet, flimsy tables/chairs, and glossy black-painted walls. Still, I watched the bartender across the room and she wasn't slammed--she was dancing, sipping water, chatting with staff, and occasionally opening beer bottles. The problem seemed less like "we're overwhelmed" and more like "we're lazy," especially when the tip is automatically included and apparently doesn't incentivize speed or effort. Another thing I noticed when walking in: there were a lot of security/bouncers. I figured that meant trouble--and about halfway through the show, there was a fight right behind our table between a guy with prison-style face tattoos and a drunk person who accidentally bumped him. That's not the ambiance you want while you're trying to enjoy live music. The one compliment that I can give is that the musicians were top-notch. They played well-known songs from every genre and they were genuinely entertaining. They also make it clear it's an adult show--so plan on profanity, sexual innuendo, and dirty lyrics. On the downside, song requests require a tip which is minimum $25, and it often ends up being much higher, like $40-50. There were five different $100 tips to play songs, so don't even bother making a request if you aren't ready to shell out. Overall: If you're going for the music, you'll probably have a better time somewhere else where you can get a proper drink from staff who care and you don't have to worry about getting shanked. read more

A fun, live music experience to help celebrate a girl friend's birthday. We all had such a great time! My first time at a love music piano bar. We did eat dinner before the venue, but we could have opted to enjoy their bar menu. The musicians are all fun, witty, spontaneous, and able to work around the crowd to liven us all up. Highly recommend bringing cash to tip for special requests. They do have Venmo available as well. My least favorite part was how an audience member can bypass your special request/tip and make the musicians stop playing your song. My most favorite part was their exceptional service though, from the reservations, table reserved for our group, and their cocktails. They really helped make our birthday celebration so special. Even entertained our guest of honor with a special song. Fantastic and FUNtastic staff! We even had a round of a special interactive game occurring between music sets and it really kept us all entertained throughout the night. Thank you to their wonderful staff for a great evening. BEST NIGHT OUT Checked in shortly before the 8 PM start time. Cover was $10. We were seated almost immediately, but unfortunately our server did not come up to our table to introduce themselves nor to take our order. After waiting 30 mins, we went to the bar and ordered with the bartender. He made our delicious drinks and had our food delivered. Food arrived about 20 mins later. We tried the chicken tenders, tartar, nachos, coconut shrimp and the chicken salad. All the food was tasty and freshly made! No complaints on food. Each drink and dish was around $14-$30 so please don't come broke to this spot. The piano dueling was perfect, absolutely hilarious and such a great time!!! My friends paid $100 for me to "borrow the mic" and sing a song which was such a special way to celebrate my new job. We danced, laughed, ate and had an incredible time. The bartender also gave us VIP passes for the next time for the inconvenience of our server not serving us. That was so great and definitely made our night, hence the 5 stars. Such a fun dueling piano bar. Came here on a Friday night and had a blast. We made reservations online just so we can have a more comfortable seat. We only ordered drinks so not sure about the food. The pianists were so talented and they were great at keeping it fun. Their banter with the audience and with each other was very entertaining. The parking is small for the bar and we had to go around in circles to finally get into the structure to park. The songs they play are based on the audience requests with money attached. The more you pay the sooner your song gets played unless someone else pays more to end your song which can happen. This is absolutely my new favorite place! I went to Piano Piano for the first time in August 2025 to celebrate my birthday and I had an unbelievable amount of fun! We had a party of 10 so I made reservations in advance and the online reservation system was very easy and the reservation policy was well explained (note: you'll have to pay cover charges in advance). They also send you a few email reminders in case you need to make any changes, which is nice. Our server was incredible and checked on us constantly. Obviously the best part of a piano bar is the performers and the 3 piano players they had were AMAZING. They kept the crowd going all night and were so much fun, and so talented! They made it a true party. They did songs from every genre (special shout out to Patty who rapped more than once!)and if you were brought up on stage for a special occasion, which I was, they have some dirty fun with you. I should have read some of the other 1 star reviews. It would've saved me a 45 minute drive and $100 bucks. Please read my review and then read some of the other 1 star reviews. My wife and I were not alone in how disgusted we were by this place. We were very disappointed because we had been to a great dueling piano bar in the gas lamp district in San Diego, and were excited about getting to hear some great music, sing along, and drink some beers. I'll start with the good. The food was actually better than expected for bar food so that was a nice surprise. The piano playing was really good too. The problem was when the piano players opened their mouths. There were three different ones in rotation tonight. One of them was a really good vocalist, the second was average, and the third couldn't carry a tune. My main issue though was the multiple disgusting simulated sex acts and references by all the piano players in the first 30 minutes of the show. I'm not easily offended, but it was ridiculous, and not what I went to see. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone. We guzzled our 1st drink, got up and left.
