She was very cold and it made me feel uncomfortable. I'm a Hispanic male, who family who's family has lived in California since the early 1900s, and I do not appreciate racism of any kind. So, If you're not white skin, avoid this establishment.

But when CMI announced a show I had to be there. And lemme tell ya. This place is awesome. Located on a section of Pomona with numerous clubs and bars Characters sticks out as it's on the end and the sign is easy to see. There's ample parking and if there's nothing in the lot, the streets have plenty available. Security was cool with no hassle. As I walked in I was expecting a greasy dive bar with sticky floors and garbage lighting. No! Total opposite. Very clean and the crowd was cool. Pool tables were pushed to the side and the stage was nice and high. Sound was phenomenal and of course the bands were awesome. It's 21+ so keep that in mind if you're interested in an upcoming show. Characters was the total opposite of what I was expecting. At least indoors it's a great place to see a show. It checks all the boxes for what I'm looking for and I'd go back 100%. Highly recommended!

She had a lot of tables and seemed a bit overwhelmed, but she still made an effort to check on us and kept my mimosas coming pretty promptly. I didn't have to wait long at all between refills, which I appreciated. Since we went for a special event, the DJs were great and really kept the energy up the whole time Parking was easy. It did say there was a $2 fee, but when we printed the ticket, we weren't charged--so it might be free, but I'd still double-check at the kiosk just in case. Overall: decent spot for the vibe, music, and brunch outing, but just be prepared for controlled drinks and slightly higher prices.

Mentioned that the owner told them about tattoos on faces, and he couldn't stay because of that. To me that is racial discrimination, and his tattoo didn't mean anything.
