I was just recently at this establishment on January 13, 2025, at approximately 1pm and I approached the bar to order a beer and the bartender, right off the bat, had very racist overtones. She was very cold and it made me feel uncomfortable. I'm a Hispanic male, who family who's family has lived in California since the early 1900s, and I do not appreciate racism of any kind. So, If you're not white skin, avoid this establishment. read more

I have rated this bar a 1 star due to the toxic environment of what is "Ray & Sandy's Hideaway". First of my honorable mentions, Bartender Sydney, always has an attitude with every customer, acts like she owns the bar, and constantly 86th people out of the bar if she doesn't like them. I have spoken with many regulars, and they have all agreed that Miss Sydney is a "menace". I don't have any doubt that she'll run that bar straight into the ground. Second bartender is Amanda, who follows Sydney and whatever she does, I'm also told they are best friends, and that Amanda does the Same as her pal. Fortunately, for them both, they are good friends with the owner, so again I have no doubt this bar will get more toxic. I've also heard that this duo has made people quit and/or leave the bar. I am sad to be writing this as this place use to be very enjoyable always packed and full of customers, very recently I have gone in and seen how empty it is. Could it be due to this so-called duo of "best pals"? I want to add, I have also read many reviews of Ray & Sandy's Hideaway, and many have suggested these two women and their behavior. I must say I'm baffled an Owner would want to keep these two around as they put the business at risk. Especially due to the fact that they can 86th any one they want because they simply "don't like them". Food: 8/10 Great for if you're drunk. Karaoke: 8/10 Slow now, good for those who like to sing. Very disappointed we chose to celebrate St. Patty's day here after work. Amber was great and welcoming. After shift change next person (ash-blonde hair) annoyed with everyone kept saying it over & over. (Out loud) Very rude customer service it's as if we were bothering her to get served. Would make rude remarks to customers. Are you going to be able to pay for that & hurry up. Also rolling her eyes at customers as if she is better than you. This is terrible service who would hire someone like this she is going to treat all customers badly. Terrible experience!! The blonde bartender named Nicki. She was so rude and clearly has her favorites and serves them first and much nicer to them. I was there trying to enjoy a night with some friends and she made it a horrible experience. This man introduced himself as "critter" from chino sinner and told me this was his bar must have been a bf of hers clearly. She served him plenty as we have already been waiting for 15 mins to even be asked if we wanted a drink. Finally was asked but then waited another 10 mins to even get the drink. Such a fun dive bar!! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The bartender Amanda is so sweet and she made the best drink and nacho cheese fries for me. She was very attentive to all the customers. They really need to do a better job of knowing when to schedule 2 bartenders on the busy nights. Super yuck! I went with Allison R. (first to review) and about 10 others. We came stumbling here from a friend's birthday party a few blocks away, only because someone said we should. Drunken sheep, that's what we were. The place is pretty gross and filled with what one can only describe as the dregs of society. Smelled very odd. We were stared at. It's everything you can ask for in a dive bar (they even have FOOD). Friendly staff and regulars. I see someone complaining about being towed. As a dive bar this place couldn't get much better. As a regular place to go party it has much to be desired. If you want a beer before sundown or late at night it can be exactly what the doctor ordered. Bar hopping? Add it to the list. I was quite surprised to find that the locals, which look like your typical dive bar locals, enjoy watching cooking competition shows. Like you could hear a pin drop as they watch Chopped and await the final decision on who gets the $10K prize. Then they all bust into thoughts of whether the right person won or not and how they - these 65 year old men who look like the closest they've ever come to cooking is to BBQ some hamburgers back when their kids still lived at home some 30 years ago - would have whipped up a crème brulé that would have dazzled the judges. Susan is the worst bartender at this establishment. Use to only have to put up with her on Sundays. Now that she's been working more shifts, the environment in this bar has steadily declined. She approaches as if she's bothered by you ordering a drink and closes the bar early (sometimes around 12). Tonight 9/12 - has just kicked everyone out of the bar at 1:00 - right after purchasing a beer and game of pool. When asking why we had to leave, her statement was "because I want you out". Reminding her that I just payed for a game of pool, her response "I just need everyone to leave". When asking for money back for the game, she proceeded to allow one of her friends to curse and make degrading comments toward me. Myself and friend had done nothing wrong and were treated as if we were trying to start a fight. We will be frequenting here much less due to the lack of decorum shown by this woman who has had an increase in shifts worked. read more

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I like it a lot. Many, many years ago I won a karaoke contest here. I am not a good singer but have the guts and style to get up and sing. I won a visit to a "real" recording studio. Went with my friends and we had a blast. They handed me a cassette tape of our songs when we were finished. (yes, cassette because it was that long ago) This is a dive bar but I have always been treated kindly and the drinks come out fast & strong. It's fun to sing karaoke, play pool or join in a video bowling game. I have had conversations with the likes of a former space engineer to an air conditioner guy. There is a wide variety of people. It seems like everyone is there for the same reason, to sit back have a drink and laugh. There is a patio out back where you can smoke and enjoy the company of the other people there. Don't come to impress or be impressed, come to have a drink and enjoy the company of others. It's a five-star experience but I am giving it four stars because the ladies bathroom stinks read more
