The band was high energy right away with a great vocalist singing familiar yet fresh songs all night. I had a lot of fun trying different drinks with the friendly bartender (my fav mix that night was a simple vodka, sprite and watermelon syrup). My friends and I are all in our late 20s, so we may look a little young, and honestly, it felt like we didn't fit the crowd. My wife and I have been going almost once a week, so this was upsetting. The week before this incident, my wife and I ordered vodka Red Bulls, as we always do, and have never had any problems. This time, on our last round, the blonde bartender charged us for two drinks and a Jose Cuervo shot. Neither of us had ordered a shot, so I asked why we were being charged for it. She explained that it was cheaper for her to charge us for a shot than to charge us for a Red Bull. I told her I didn't understand and questioned the charge again. She then came closer to me and said, "Can you please be quiet because my boss is right there and you're going to get me in trouble." She then said that she could void the transaction and charge us for the two drinks and the Red Bull, but the cost would be more. They've never charged us for a redbull separately. The whole situation was extremely uncomfortable and confusing. We had already been to this establishment multiple times, so it's disappointing to have been treated this way, especially when we were simply asking about a charge we didn't understand. After these experiences, my wife and I definitely won't be returning. It honestly feels like they only care about their regulars and aren't very welcoming toward new or younger customers. Definitely a bummer, because we had previously enjoyed coming here.
