First time I came here, I didn't realize it was a speakeasy. Was looking for a cool spot to have a drink and possibly catch one of the World Cup games. When I came in, the front of the shop was definitely a conspicuous as a bottle shop. Once you enter you are greeted by the bartender. Since it was my first time there, he let me try to figure out the code to get in. It was pretty cool and a fun way to get in! I brought my fiancé for her to try out and she got it right away! Once in, the decor and lighting has speakeasy vibes. A mix of a record shop and bar. They also had a DJ. It was Wednesday when I went and the bartender told me that we can bring in our own records for the DJ to play on Wednesdays. I forgot what the other days were but seems like they have something going on each day of the week. They do not have TVs and it is pretty loud when the DJ is on. So sometimes having a conversation, you'll need to speak louder. They have some games to play which me and my fiancé did when I took her my second time there. My first time, I got Ontario 75. Which I did not expect to be a champagne drink but it was pretty good. And then I got the back to black which is basically their old fashioned. The second time I came with my fiancé, we had the punchbowl that was enough for two, and then the second round she had the juicy berry and I had the amor y tequila, both are pretty sweet drinks but not too bad. We also had the fries and the pretzel to snack on. The bartenders are nice and chill. Would definitely come back! read more

A delightful, hidden speakeasy located in Ontario! Hidden in plain sight, you can find parking to come here on the streets or in the parking lots a few blocks away. We came here on a Thursday night, and found the rooftop bar blaring music. Yet, this cute little shop had a brightly lit "open" sign and decor. You don't see anyone or anything that would signify it would be a bar behind the hidden door. When you come inside, a man will ask you for ID. After that, it is up to you to find the right password in order to enter. It's super fun and caused me great joy! Inside, there was plenty of seating with bar food and cocktails. In the corner of the menu, it had a little note saying you can ask for their beer or wine selection! My fiancé and I started off with their punch bowl with fries. We destroyed the drink and snack, so we went for a second drink. I had ordered their Juicy Berry and we also ordered another snack which was a pretzel. The bartender was super observant of all their patrons, which was fantastic! They had a live DJ playing vinyls. They also advertised a vinyl night where you can bring your own vinyl from home to have the DJ play! Super cool! Overall, it's very nice to have a speakeasy in Ontario that's relatively close, new, and chill. Love it and can't wait to come back again! read more

I'll start by saying I LOVE experiences, nostalgia, and a fun night out. My Baby and I accidentally stumbled upon The Bottle Shop after the restaurant we planned to visit was closed for the evening, and honestly, it ended up being the best surprise of the night! From the outside, it looks like a dimly lit liquor store with a small counter and a few flowers. At first, we were a little confused. I even had to Google it (no shame! ). That's when I found out the code to enter the speakeasy is hidden somewhere in the room. When I finally found it, I literally jumped up and down with excitement! Once inside WOW!!! It's even cooler than the entrance. The entire place is an '80s dream. There's a rotary phone at the head table, vinyl records everywhere, Polaroids scattered throughout, giant UNO cards, and gorgeous moody wallpaper. There are cozy little nooks to hang out in, and the bar is centered around an old-school stereo system. The DJ was spinning actual vinyl records, which made the vibe even better. Was it gimmicky? Yep. Cheesy? A little. Quirky? Absolutely. But that's exactly what made it so freaking awesome! The whole place felt fun, nostalgic, and full of personality. I ordered mojitos, and my babe ordered a fruity drink and we ordered fries. The drinks were delicious the fries came out piping hot and were absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. It was pretty busy, but the staff was friendly, and we never felt forgotten. Overall, this place was such an epic, unexpected find. We spent about an hour there and loved every minute of it. There was an outside patio which was a nice addition to the bar. I think there's a larger bar upstairs that we didn't get a chance to explore, so we'll definitely be back. If you're looking for a unique date night or just want to experience something different, I highly recommend checking this place out! P.S. Please don't ruin the surprise. You should try to find the code to enter on your own. It was much a much more gratifying experience once I figured out the code. There's a security guard outside who will absolutely not give you any tips. He just looked at us and said you'll figure it out! read more

Place is awesome and the employees are friendly. the reason I am leaving 3 stars is because the music is loud hard to talk. and the other was because the place was crowded and bartender was overworked. I also feel like there was there regulars. they got helped before my order but other then that its a cool spot ifbit was better staffed and maybe had the music volume a bit lower. read more

Wow wow wow the vibe here is so cool! It's got this laidback oldies r&b / east listening vibe. DJ plays music on vinyl and the place is filled with vinyls all over, like actual vinyls being used to play music not just wall decor. Vibe is perfect, drinks are fire with a great selection of liquors (not just the basic stuff) and the service is fast and super friendly. read more

Located on the Main Street and looks like it could be empty .... But don't let it fool you ! Please do not sleep on this little hidden speakeasy. Just go in ,as they can see you through the two way mirror. We loved the coziness of this 80's nostalgic / jungle/ dim den of surprises. They have little table games for you to play and the bartenders are super nice and knowledgeable . We had a few cocktails but my favorite by far was my espresso vodka drink . Extremely yummy . This is a beautiful well decorated speakeasy we intend on visiting again really soon. read more

This place is super cute! I went on a date to the restaurant next door not realizing they had separate entrances. We ended up making our way to the speakeasy shortly after and the vibes were immaculate. Great music, friendly staff, all around a great time. Had a great time at this speakeasy spot in Ontario! The location is easy to get to and offers plenty of parking in the area. Be sure to make a reservation through Instagram DM--- they make the process very simple and easy to access. I really enjoyed the live vinyl sets that were playing, and the drinks were excellent! I loved the lighting--it's dim and creates a very intimate atmosphere, making it a fun place to have a conversation with a loved one. I'll definitely be going back to try more of the menu and highly recommend it if you're into great music and good drinks! read more

We're regulars. We keep coming back because we love the vibe & the drinks, whether we're in a group or it's just date night. If I were just 10 yrs younger I'd appreciate the dim lighting more because I wouldn't have to use my phone flashlight just so I can see the menu. I love that the DJs play vinyl, the sound in here just hits differently, it sounds clear but warm, old school. 4.75* Didn't try the food. Drinks are on the pricier side, but they do have a top tier tequila selection (which is what I was drinking). My wife enjoyed their crafted drinks. Ended up here by pure accident. We were upstairs celebrating my wife's friends birthday. One of the people in the party had RSVP'd sometime downstairs, but decided she was going to call it an early night. The scene upstairs was not really my jam and my wife could see I was getting a bit angsty. We decided to call it a night and on our way out she remembered the RSVP that had been made. So, we decided it to not let it go to waste and used the code provided and made our way in. From the music choices and the fact that it's a hifi sound system I was in my element. Not only did we end up having a great time, but my wife finally understood my obsession with vinyl. The whole night she kept remarking on the fact that the music sounded so crisp and clear, but we could still have a nice conversation with out having to yell (as we had to do at the previous establishment). Will definitely keep this place in the rotation for date night. Next time we'll make it a point to try more of the food and a bit less of the drinks. read more

Visited here on a Friday night a few weeks ago with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard through someone else that a speakeasy had opened up in Ontario and I was eager to check it out after noticing they had been open for some time. When we walked in, we waited in front, and someone came to check on us within 3 min. We were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not (I was not aware we needed one) and we did get a bit of a strange/negative interaction for not having a reservation, but we were let in. Not sure what that was about but I am assuming perhaps they are often really busy hence the reservation request? Once in there was plenty of space to accommodate for two people. That interaction aside, it was really cool inside. Everything you would expect from a speakeasy; dimly lit, small food menu, good music (they were spinning vinyl), and great cocktails. We ordered drinks off of the menu, can't recall the names but they were GOOD. The bartender, I wish I would have asked for his name, ended up making us a few specialty cocktails not on the menu and it just kept getting better. He was awesome and incredibly knowledgeable at his craft! He saved the evening based on the way it started, and I will be coming back to try some other menu items. read more
