It was Wednesday when I went and the bartender told me that we can bring in our own records for the DJ to play on Wednesdays. I forgot what the other days were but seems like they have something going on each day of the week. They do not have TVs and it is pretty loud when the DJ is on. So sometimes having a conversation, you'll need to speak louder. They have some games to play which me and my fiancé did when I took her my second time there. My first time, I got Ontario 75. Which I did not expect to be a champagne drink but it was pretty good. And then I got the back to black which is basically their old fashioned. The second time I came with my fiancé, we had the punchbowl that was enough for two, and then the second round she had the juicy berry and I had the amor y tequila, both are pretty sweet drinks but not too bad. We came here on a Thursday night, and found the rooftop bar blaring music. Yet, this cute little shop had a brightly lit "open" sign and decor. You don't see anyone or anything that would signify it would be a bar behind the hidden door. When you come inside, a man will ask you for ID. After that, it is up to you to find the right password in order to enter. It's super fun and caused me great joy! Inside, there was plenty of seating with bar food and cocktails. In the corner of the menu, it had a little note saying you can ask for their beer or wine selection! My fiancé and I started off with their punch bowl with fries. We destroyed the drink and snack, so we went for a second drink. I had ordered their Juicy Berry and we also ordered another snack which was a pretzel. The bartender was super observant of all their patrons, which was fantastic! They had a live DJ playing vinyls. They also advertised a vinyl night where you can bring your own vinyl from home to have the DJ play! Super cool! I tried to come with a friend to try the 2 lb fish n chips but FIFA World cup was on and the place was packed. Went again yesterday because I was meeting a friend who wanted to smoke on the shady patio. Otherwise I would have gone down the street where they have a good happy hour. Yeah, sure, there was a special event going on and the house was packed. Good for you. Not good for all patrons. Waiting for a bottled beer 23 minutes is way too long. One bartender at the only bar inside for a spot this big with such a crowd is bad business. People started to walk out. That's terrible for business! If I was the owner I'd be mortified. In this economy, losing business by the minute is "no bueno." Yes, the only bartender had a good attitude. Thank goodness! But cmon...... He confirmed it was just him as the bartender. (Excluding waiters) no bar back person either. He felt bad, he gave me a free beer. I didn't have food. I saw other people eating what looked like nachos and they kinda, sorta looked gross. Good music. Okay crowd, and sure packed, but whatever happened to dress code, which didn't seem to matter here on this specific nite, that's what I mean by OKAY CROWD. The bathrooms were disgusting. As an avid beer drinker, Rescue Brewery is one of my go-to breweries in the area. It is always clean, has friendly staff, and has great brews and food! Before sitting down, you're supposed to order your beers with the nice beertenders at the front. I usually get the Haze Against The Machine. They also have a good menu and a happy hour! I had ordered their garlic fries and their poke nachos. The beertenders gives you a number, then you can display it at the table of your choice. The atmosphere inside is nice' they have cute string lights placed all around. They're also usually playing modern music or country. It does get a bit loud in there dependent on how many people are inside. Their garlic fries are very crispy and have garlic pieces sprinkled on top. The sauce it comes with is addicting. My favorite is definitely their poke nachos! It has an abundant amount of tuna sprinkled over it with jalapeños, pickled onions, pickled radishes, and their delicious sauce. Their wonton chips are very crunchy, too! I washed it down with my IPA that was super hazy and crisp. I've been here a few times, but forget to check in/do a review. I didn't forget this time! They're always consistent in every aspect, so brewery hoppers, you need to put this on your list!

We had about 26 people, and I was so concerned that I wouldn't be able to find a place that could seat us all on a Saturday evening. I emailed with Alex, the taproom manager, a little less than 2 weeks before the date I wanted, and she told me that they would be able to accommodate us! I was so incredibly relieved! After our axe throwing, we walked the VERY short walk across the street, and Alex and her staff had our tables ready to go for everyone! They made our huge group feel so welcomed and taken care of from the moment we got there! Alex explained to us that the food and drinks are ordered at the registers, which made it so easy and convenient for everyone to not have to worry about doing separate checks for a big group (that can get confusing and messy sometimes). The beers, seltzers, and food were all incredible!!! Even the most particular people in our group raved about how good everything was, and trust me when I say, that is a high compliment! The staff were absolutely incredible as well! They were so knowledgeable about the beers, so patient with our big group, and were just so helpful and kind! Everyone is still talking about how great everything was, and I'm truly so grateful to Alex and the rest of the staff at Rescue Brewing for making my husband's birthday so amazing!! They also have a decent selection of beers to choose from, in case wine isn't your thing. There is both indoor and outdoor seating for whatever your preference is. The patio is well-covered, so if anyone is trying to stay out of the sun, they've thought of that. Kelly took care of my friend and I, as we decided to go to Claremont instead of braving the crowds at The Upland Lemon Festival this past Sunday. Kelly was an absolute ray of sunshine and took great care of us. We spent a good amount of the afternoon chilling on their patio sipping on Sangiovese, and snacking on the Corn & Tortilla Dip, as well as the Pork Belly appetizer. All were wonderful! NOTE: For the next month or two, their menu will be slightly limited, as they are renovating their kitchen. There's still PLENTY of great stuff to choose from and enjoy, though.

A month later …read more... Officially a regular at Grafted Cellars. Obsessed with every edible item on their menu so I'm here on a weekly basis. Omar the bartender is still as wonderful as Day One. I was finally able to figure out his last name. (It wasn't given out willingly and he made me guess after dropping a single hint). Will be on my way to collect my free bottle of wine for the month of June. Grafted Cellars is such a lovely place. I've met new friends as well as reunited with old ones. So glad I've found a place to be able to call "my hangout".
