Walking around downtown Upland we perused 3 or 4 spots. Nothing was passing our very particular vibe check (good food, family friendly, showing the World Cup game) until we got to Two Frogs. A friendly gentleman passed us on the street and gave us a coupon for a BOGO Free taco! So it was busy, but the space was large enough it didn't feel crowded, and they were showing the USA World Cup game. My entire family was blown away by the food. My burrito was HUGE and the Carne inside was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband got the enchiladas. This is a risky move, I make legendary enchiladas and EVERY TIME he orders them at a restaurant he is disappointed. Not today. They were SO flavorful. More spice than I like, but absolutely delicious, a carnival in your mouth. My 14yo ordered the Cali burger. Not only was it gorgeous, but this petite girl who almost never finishes an entire burger INHALED it and declared it the best she's ever had (outside of her fathers, of course) it came with impeccably seasoned steak fries. The staff was lovely, our server Isabella was friendly and when I expressed uncertainty about my beer order, offered to bring me a sample, so I could be sure. Both the servers and the food runners were so kind and prompt when we asked for little extras like Lemons or extra crema or boxes. The homemade tortillas are so soft and delicious, the buns they use for the burgers are locally baked and my 14yo RAVED about how tasty they were. We will absolutely return to Two Frogs, and you should too! But it would be nice if they had a kids menu. Just sayin' read more

Food? Fantastic. Service? Top-notch. Parking? Let's just say it builds character. Margarita? Whew. That thing tasted like it was trying to disinfect my soul. Definitely one of the booziest margaritas I've had, with a little too much rubbing alcohol vibe for my taste. That said, the food and service easily made up for it. Just visited for the first time and the phrase I would use for this place would probably be "not bad". The service was phenomenal. The food was average, I ordered the quesadilla with Birria which I found to be pretty flavorful and a good sized serving but there was something about the cheese I didn't quite like. Sat outdoors - love the vibe sitting out there - the bars on the windows actually look pretty cool and other that I could see the trash cans from where I was sitting, I liked seeing the outdoors. Also love all the TVs for you to watch sports or whatever else is on TV. The music videos that were on were cool and had me reminiscing about the good old days while eating dinner. Really liked the wooden bowl and plates to eat from. The salsa was really good - a great salsa tells me the restaurant has high hopes. The colorful chips that went with them were good also but they cost an extra $3. Boo! My husband got the loco coco drink which was made poorly at first but they quickly remade it without us even saying anything. Appreciated that. I got the bubblelicious lemon drop which was delicious. For dinner, everything we got was pretty good. The carne asada taco was great and the shrimp taco was ok. Think the tortilla was too thick for me. My family gave their dinners an all thumbs up though. Really liked their salsas which were pretty impressive. We recently visited Two Frogs in Upland, a fairly new restaurant that's been open for about six months, and we had a great experience. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming, and the customer service was excellent. Our server was attentive and kind, and the manager also stepped in to help, which made us feel well taken care of. For starters, we ordered the nachos--and they were delicious, not to mention a generous portion. I ordered the sliders as my meal, and they were excellent: super tasty and absolutely scrumptious. My husband had the fish and chips and said they were delicious and full of flavor. Our son ordered the California burrito and loved it--great size and very satisfying. We will definitely be returning. Bonus points for the drinks... they are stiff (in the best way ). Highly recommend checking this place. read more

My husband and I were at the Lemon Festival in Upland. We were hungry and checking out all of the food booths. Nothing looked good to us, so we decided to eat at a restaurant instead. Luckily, we happened to be right by Two Frogs. I looked on yelp before we went in. They had four stars, so we decided to eat there. Our server was Isabelle, and she was wonderful! I ordered the Chile Relleno Taco, and my husband ordered the Prime Ranchera taco. We also ordered Chips & Salsa and a side of Pinto Beans. I love tri-colored tortilla chips! The salsa and beans were so good! Our tacos were absolutely incredible! They are served on homemade corn tortillas. They were thick and delicious! I asked Isabelle if their burritos were served on homemade flour tortillas, and she said yes. I can't wait to go back and try a burrito! I received a text today from Two Frogs offering me a Buy one, Get one free Taco Deal! Wow! What a pleasant surprise! We will definitely take advantage of that great offer! Came to celebrate a friend's birthday. Amanda, our server was amazing but sadly, customer service was a little off. We were a table of 7 and were only given 4 paper plates and 6 napkins. At one point, I had to get up and ask for more napkins, I was only given 2. Drink service was okay, except for waitress, walking by twice to the other side of the room with a drink that belonged to our table. Food service was slow and a little off, one meal came after everyone else finished their respective meals. Chicken wings were just okay, I would definitely not order again! My friend had 3 different kinds of gourmet tacos...corned beef, fish, and asada. I had the Cali burrito, main meet was the asada with black beans. We loved the green and Chipotle salsas!!! He also ordered us pinto beans, rice, and fries to share. Service by Amanda was very good! Alot of TV's to watch sports and there is a nice fire pit in the patio area where we sat! Our first time eating here. The food was delicious, service was great all the waitresses were checking on us, Joan was amazing and we got to Meet Mike one of the owners, who was out talking to everyone and shared with us the story of his restaurant, great guy. Atmosphere is happenin and festive, everyone was enjoying the music with videos, sporting events on the TV. We'll definitely be back again soon. Came here on a Friday night right before it started getting packed and you could already feel the energy , the vibes were so good and I can tell it turns into a really fun spot once it gets poppin. We ordered tacos with rice and beans, everything tasted really good! I will say $9 for one taco is a little crazy, but they were definitely quality. Swung by for a couple drinks while my wife had an appt locally.I did give it two stars because I like the music and the place is a nice setup. *Keep in mind it was very slow in there* The bartender , that rhymes with Havana, seemed like she was high on something really good. She was slurrying like crazy and out of it! I asked to close the tab after a couple, handed her my card she said "thank you" and then asked if I wanted any appetizer.... This is after I declined a food menu twice, and no to appetizers twice,still gave me a menu. So, 2 draft beers and two tiny @$$ shots cost me $48. Then all the sudden this guy that was hovering around the bar, got my exact same order at the corner of the bar and all sudden started hanging with the bartender and waitress...... this after I was asked, by the waitress, if I got my order. This place is FANTASTIC!!! Perfect place for families, friends, date night, coworkers etc... I love the interior decor- especially the patio. My friends and I spent hours talking and laughing around the fire pit (Thursday Karaoke night). Now... I am obsessed with nachos and their steak nachos did not disappoint!!! The steak was super tender with the right seasoning and chips were perfectly crispy thin and airy. This place truly is such a great addition to DT Upland! I went a couple weeks ago on karaoke night (actually they have karaoke three times a week). The ambience is uplifting the vibe was high and positive. The food was amazing! Their prices were low during extended hours of happy hour. Bartenders were all very gracious. The servers were adorable and also sang in between serving. Dani , the female KJ/DJ kept us entertained with her music at the crowd was lively. Happy to meet many people there who are generally kind and had great work ethics. I will be back! read more

My wife ordered a Paloma drink and was not on point. The drink did not meet expectations of a Paloma drink. I ordered an old fashion and was disappointed. No whiskey options were asked and the drink presentation was made with no effort. To be honest, this is the first time I was served a crappy old fashion. So I ordered a whiskey sour and was finally asked of a bourbon of my choosing. I chose maker marks. Drink arrived and did not meet expectations. As far as I could tell, no full effort to make an enjoyable, quality cocktail was made. Especially when they cost over $18 per cocktail. So finally I opted for a Space Dust IPA. Came here to celebrate one of my friend's birthdays, and was sadly very disappointed. We were carded at the door, and went in just fine, but I did notice a male who was turned away because he was wearing a white T-shirt. We were inside for no more than 15 minutes and ordered some drinks and food. The music was so obnoxiously loud we could not hear each other. The poor waitress could barely hear what we were ordering. Then my boyfriend took a drink of his water from his Hydro flask. (Which he was let in the door with) when the "owner" snatched it from his hand and ran outside. He was dumping it out and claiming that he was bringing in alcohol. (My boyfriend doesn't drink) We reassured him that it was only water and we were let in with it. We explained we were sorry and unaware of the rules. we let him know that we would return the empty hydro flask to the car. The owner said he could not come back in. The problem is not, what he did as much as it was how he did it. This was all very disappointing, considering we went to their previous location very often. Went on a busy Friday night and the service was great all around. We first sat at the bar until we were told of their patio area equipped with pool tables . So glad we had Amanda as our server too, she checked in with us the perfect amount of times and when we were ready to do even asked if we wanted to take our chips home, to which I only said yes because that meant we got to also take some delicious salsa home with them (not the one they serve with the chips but the red one that comes with the taquitos - so good!). TLDR, don't waste your time here- you're better off at Paulie's. Drinks are great but I was asked to leave my table (which seated two) because I was "literally just sitting here texting". I came by myself, and the bar counter was full, and was waiting for someone. But of course, I was the problem, since it was just me for now at a tiny table for two. The servers are great but it is obvious that the owner is pretty awful, they couldn't do or say anything against his ruling. He told me to go to the bar where there is free seating, which was full. Which he was clearly aware of. I had already bought two drinks and was waiting on someone, but the owner persisted, and I was left standing there awkwardly, drink in hand, chastised if I chose to sit. Honestly, their karaoke host is also awful, and sped up my song, plus wouldn't let me sing certain songs if they were sang previously (we're talking hours ago). There's a reason Second Ave shut down, and I have no doubt as to why. I wouldn't recommend coming here, especially if it's busy, considering the owner is clearly overwhelmed by a measly 10 tables wit a surplus of servers, and doesn't bat an eye at kicking aside anyone who doesn't buy more than two drinks. read more

This place is a joke. They clearly don't have proper ethical business practices, and I'll tell you why... I went to this business not once, but twice. Had a good time, sang karaoke, all that... my third time trying to go I was told by security, (which wasn't there the other times I went) that I wasn't allowed to come in. Apparently the rules are different on different days regarding customers with tattoos. No worries though. I had a much better time down the street at Paulie's. I'd suggest trying them instead of if I were you. Wish I had more hands to give this place 4 thumbs down! read more
