The pizza is pretty good and filling. We are self-acclaimed pizza snobs and we are pretty surprised how much we like this pizza. The Caesar salad was good even without chicken or shrimp added. Liked the croutons a lot. The buffalo chicken wings which we chowed down before a pic could be taken were extremely meaty. Service was fast. Forgot our waitress' name. She was really good. We stopped by Paulie's Pizza Pub and had an excellent experience! Josh took great care of us from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we always had what we needed without ever being overbearing. Great service like his really makes a difference. The food was way above our expectations. The pizza was absolutely delicious with great flavor, and the wings were some of the best we've had. The beers were cold, fresh, and paired perfectly with the meal. This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. We came here on a whim, since our gym is down the street and we needed dinner before we went to exercise. This pub is part of downtown upland, so there is sporadic parking located in surrounding areas. You'd get parking in the front if you're very lucky. As we walked in, we noticed some patrons sitting outside with drinks. We walked in, and the bar area with the bartender was quite packed. So packed, we couldn't walk towards the back. Luckily, the barista announced to us there's a server in the back and self served seating. When the patrons heard that, only then did the make room for us to walk through. We seated ourselves in the back near the kitchen, where a server named Danny was sweet enough to help us out. He had gotten us two IPAs and a margarita pizza. He also let us sample an additional IPA, since we were quite torn between two. He was very sweet and humorous, so shout out to him! He made our visit amazing! As for the pizza, I wasn't very impressed. Although I liked the dough, the pizza itself was quite plain. I've had some fantastic margarita pizzas, and perhaps this wasn't it. We promised Danny that we'd be back to try a different one, because he swears by it! Overall, the decor was quite interesting. I enjoyed seeing all the street signs and the alternative rock music they had playing. We will be back, as promised, when we crave another pizza. read more

I'm leaving this review based on my experience this past weekend during 2nd on 2nd. The line to order at the bar was out the door, the restaurant was completely packed, and only a couple of waitresses were handling the outside tables. While standing in line, almost everyone around us was complaining about the poor service. The bartenders were blatantly favoring locals, ignoring the queue to serve regular customers first. To make matters worse, the owner walked in, bypassed the entire line to grab two beers from behind the bar, and walked back outside to keep partying with friends instead of helping his overwhelmed staff or paying attention to customers. That is completely unacceptable and rude. As a business owner, your priority should be ensuring your customers are taken care of and stepping in to help your team when it's slammed, not cutting line to grab drinks for your friends. read more

The place had a great vibe, and although our drinks were initially mixed up, that wasn't the issue. What really bothered me was that one of the cooks used the restroom and then headed straight back into the kitchen without washing his hands. We could all hear and see everything clearly, and I'm 100% sure he did not wash his hands before returning to work. His appearance also seemed unprofessional and unhygienic. The good: Cheesy garlic bread and pizza loved by all. The bad: my "chicken Parmesan sandwich" the chicken inside was clearly frozen chicken tenders. Rubbery and not great. Against my advice my daughter ordered the fettuccini (she's used to Eddie's) it was so bland she didn't care to take her leftovers and neither did I. It was kind of peppery, but none of that creamy cheesy flavor, you know? Also the service was kind of nonexistent for the first 20 minutes we were there. I think they only had the bartender there and the place was pretty full. Once another waiter clocked in we were much better taken care of. It's very much a dive bar probably not the best place for a fam, but everyone was really friendly. I hear the meatball sub is good so I might get that if I go again. Stick to more basic stuff. I loved this place. We're finally exploring the Downtown Upland area. It's so cool and dark inside. Love the decor. Lots of t.v.s to view sports. The food was amazing. Definitely try the portabella pizza. My daughter was excited to see the gooey cheese on her pizza. We will be back to try more yummy food- if I can part from the portabella pizza. My husband and I had a very negative experience associated with this business. After visiting, my husband accidentally left his ATM card behind. He called right away to let them know, and the person who answered confirmed they had his card and said they would hold it for him. He ld them he would come by later that week to pick it up. Shortly after that call, he noticed his ATM card was being used for fraudulent purchases. he Immediately reported the fraud to our bank. he then called the business back, asked to speak to a manager, and explained that his card had been left there and was now being used fraudulently. At that point, he was told they no longer had the card and that a manager would call him the next day. It has now been over three weeks, and he still hasn't received a call or any follow-up. This situation caused a huge amount of stress, time, and inconvenience. He reached out hoping for some level of concern or accountability, but the response was extremely disappointing. Please be extremely cautious with your personal belongings if you choose to visit, and make sure to close your tab as you go and never leave your AtM or credit card. I wouldn't trust their employees . Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. read more

Love this place! I've always had excellent service and a great time. Until yesterday (Sunday) Some friends and I stopped in for a drink. I ordered a tall can and paid for it and tipped the bartender $5. Then I put my finger up to get her attention for my friend to buy a drink and she brought me another tall can I told her I'm sorry,my friend would like to order a cocktail. Yaya(the bartender) tried to argue with me and say that I ordered another beer. Which I did not! I already had one. My friend got her drink and also tipped $5. We came back a few hours later. And, without even answering any questions, she rolled her eyes and turned and walked away. I understand her frustration the first time we were there. Total misunderstanding! But, the second time was uncalled for! We are very good tippers! She is very unprofessional. She acted like we were bothering her. If she can't handle her job, she shouldn't work there. I would give this place a 10 out of 10. But, her attitude... Ruined the whole vibe. Needless to say, we did not order a pizza, we finished our beers and left. Worst service ever! Ever! Our server was horrible! His name is Anthony and he appeared shady and I believe he was racist. When it was time to pay, we handed Anthony our credit card. I watched Anthony put the card in his pocket, went to the back somewhere, and then came back to take orders, and then went to the bar to get drinks. My husband and I were waiting for a long time, and he kept ignoring us. All we wanted to do was pay and leave. Anthony kept walking by us, and continued to ignore us. We even stood up, he intentionally avoided looking at us or walking our way. We tried flagging him down, and he still ignored us. Finally, we asked another server, for our card. The server went to Anthony and he LIED and said he didn't get our credit card. We were pissed! How could he lie about taking our credit card? Who knows what he did with the credit card numbers. At this point, I wanted to cry because I was so mad. FINALLY, Anthony came out, handed the card to my husband without even looking at him, and walked off. There was no "thank you" or any acknowledgement from him. My husband and I are Hispanic, and we felt like Anthony treated us horribly because of our race. He was so rude and such an awful person. But now, thanks to DANIEL, I will never be returning. Long story short, one night I ran short on my bill. Daniel said he would cover it. I told him I would Zelle him the next day. He paid a $30 tab, I gave him $45. Paid, right? Plus a fat tip. Fast forward a few weeks later, I come in intending to be in a safe space with good people. I bought a few drinks.
