Our go-to place for a game of pool and to unwind. Heavy pours and great service. They have a nice large patio and their bar food hits the spot.

Dropped in on St. Patrick's Day for a quick drink and tots we saw on a photo menu on Yelp.. There was a special menu of limited items with three choices: corned beef cabbage, fish and chips and chicken tenders and fries. We went with the chicken and fries for $12 which came with three nice side pieces with lots of meat and the right amount of batter. Came piping hot too. The fries were good and crisp For drinks most ordered the Irish Mule with Jameson Whiskey. They came in plastic cups but did have a nice pour for their special price $8 Our server was nice and ambiance was chill with Irish music it was still early for what I suspect will be busy later. They must too with limited food items and plastic cups

I checked out this Hi Brow for the first time a week ago after being to the Pomona location numerous times before. The first thing that I noticed is that this location looks a lot newer and cleaner than the Pomona location, and has a jukebox, dart board, pool table, and plenty of bar and table space. Outside is a massive patio and the bathrooms. (You actually have to walk through the patio to get to the restrooms, which I thought was interesting) That night I got to meet bartenders Monique and Alyssa who were very sweet detailing all of the options they had to drink there and had a great conversation - as it was pretty slow/chill for a Wednesday night. They have an obscene number of taps and bottles for a (smallish) place so certainly you'll find something that you like there. I didn't have a chance to try any of the food but will certainly be back at some point to have a full meal at the pub. If you're in the IE or Upland area come check this place out sometime!

I've been here a couple times. The atmosphere is relaxed. There is live music and pool, check the schedule. Plenty of sports on the tv. Good service and reasonable prices. There is also some appetizers if you are hungry .

Black burnt chicken and black burnt onion rings. ‍

Just had the worst burnt onion rings and burnt spicy chicken sandwich. When the cook handed it to me I said what was up it's burnt. He looked right at me and didn't have anything to say and walked away. Lilly said it's not her deal. I won't be eating here again. I got a free shot whoop whoop. Couldn't eat the food

The amazing new pub addition is off the charts Cool it is where the British bulldog used to be I love the outdoor patio, live bands on the weekends and some weekdays. They have a pool table amazing chefs, cooking up great bar food options. the staff is always so hard-working, friendly and amazing!

Seriously the best pub you could ever go to. I feel it's all about the waitstaff & environment. Taylor, Rachel & Lilly are so great. They are very attentive & it's great when they know & remember your name & drink order. That's what it's all about. They smile, they are friendly & you can have fun, play some pool! This is the place to go!

When we called ahead, no one mentioned they were only serving a limited St. Patrick's Day menu today. Nothing from the regular menu was available. My daughter ended up eating plain fries the whole time because there wasn't a single kid-appropriate option. It felt misleading after being told it's family-friendly when we called prior to coming. The place was packed. The line was out the door, and we had a long wait. Inside was uncomfortably hot and stuffy too. I was eyeing the Cottage Pie but asked the server about peas (not a fan), and she said it might have a lot, so I passed. My wife ordered it instead since she doesn't mind peas and surprise, zero peas in it. She said it was just okay, nothing special, so I guess I didn't miss out. I went with the Irish Nachos instead. They were fine, but the house-made potato chips were underwhelming. Crispy but not flavorful. The standout was the lemon pepper wings. Those were actually really good. Green beer was a fun thematic touch too. Atmosphere is lively for the holiday, but for a regular visit or even future St. Patrick's Day? Probably not coming back. If you're planning to go on the big day, brace for crowds and waits. And for fun, here's a limerick summing it up: There once was a pub in Upland so grand, For St. Paddy's we joined hand in hand. But the menu was slim, Kid options were grim, Just fries for our lass, what a bland! The heat made us sweat, lines out the door, Cottage Pie? "Peas maybe." We weren't sure. No peas in the end, Wife said "meh" my friend, Nachos were fine, wings we adored. Green beer was cool, but that's all the cheer, Average at best, won't return here. Three stars is the call, For the holiday thrall. Fun once, but not every year!

We had about 26 people, and I was so concerned that I wouldn't be able to find a place that could seat us all on a Saturday evening. I emailed with Alex, the taproom manager, a little less than 2 weeks before the date I wanted, and she told me that they would be able to accommodate us! I was so incredibly relieved! After our axe throwing, we walked the VERY short walk across the street, and Alex and her staff had our tables ready to go for everyone! They made our huge group feel so welcomed and taken care of from the moment we got there! Alex explained to us that the food and drinks are ordered at the registers, which made it so easy and convenient for everyone to not have to worry about doing separate checks for a big group (that can get confusing and messy sometimes). The beers, seltzers, and food were all incredible!!! Even the most particular people in our group raved about how good everything was, and trust me when I say, that is a high compliment! The staff were absolutely incredible as well! They were so knowledgeable about the beers, so patient with our big group, and were just so helpful and kind! Everyone is still talking about how great everything was, and I'm truly so grateful to Alex and the rest of the staff at Rescue Brewing for making my husband's birthday so amazing!! We appreciate you all so much, and we can't wait to come back soon!

I must say, the brewery really stands out with their bright and appealing logo out front. When we went in, the place was packed, but we were able to find a table for the four of us. To our surprise, they didn't just have a huge beer selection--they also offered a large variety of seltzers and cocktails for anyone who wasn't in the mood for beer. I decided to try the Tart of War, and my taste buds were in for a pleasant surprise. This sour beer had delicious notes of strawberry, pineapple, coconut, and vanilla. The brewery had a lot of TVs, which was perfect because I was able to catch the Lakers game that night. The bartenders were super friendly and worked efficiently, even with such a large crowd. The 90's alternative rock playing in the background had all of us nodding along. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. They also seem to have a happy hour on Wednesdays from 6-9 PM with food and drink specials, which is definitely worth checking out.

The blue cheese burger I wished were a bit stronger in blue cheese flavor (as a person who loves lots of blue cheese), but the burger was definitely filling for both the eyes and the tummy. The only thing I wished is that the burger didn't feel as heavy/greasy, but if that were the case, I probably wouldn't have chosen a burger. That said, the grease did feel like it took away from the flavors, making the burger tasting milder than I had wanted. That said, it was very enjoyable overall. The dog menu was surprisingly different from what I've seen. It was surprisingly healthy looking with the amount of vegetables they added to my dog's bowl including some Brussels sprouts. There was no rice at all, which was fine for me since my dog doesn't really like rice. Unfortunately, he is so picky, so he picked out the chicken from the vegetables even with me pre-mixing it, and I think the vegetables are too firm to his liking. However, I appreciate the food being healthy and the portions, even if he himself will not really eat most of it. I'm sure some other dog will do a lot better with the bowl!

We ordered the steak nachos, and they were seriously impressive -- generously loaded with tender, well-seasoned beef, creamy sauce, fresh pico de gallo, avocado slices, and pickled onions. This pub is part of downtown upland, so there is sporadic parking located in surrounding areas. You'd get parking in the front if you're very lucky. As we walked in, we noticed some patrons sitting outside with drinks. We walked in, and the bar area with the bartender was quite packed. So packed, we couldn't walk towards the back. Luckily, the barista announced to us there's a server in the back and self served seating. When the patrons heard that, only then did the make room for us to walk through. We seated ourselves in the back near the kitchen, where a server named Danny was sweet enough to help us out. He had gotten us two IPAs and a margarita pizza. He also let us sample an additional IPA, since we were quite torn between two. He was very sweet and humorous, so shout out to him! He made our visit amazing! As for the pizza, I wasn't very impressed. Although I liked the dough, the pizza itself was quite plain. I've had some fantastic margarita pizzas, and perhaps this wasn't it. We promised Danny that we'd be back to try a different one, because he swears by it! Overall, the decor was quite interesting. I enjoyed seeing all the street signs and the alternative rock music they had playing. We will be back, as promised, when we crave another pizza.
