    2. California Sandwich
    Adrian G.

Kind service. Small tucked away little sandwich shop. Good sandwiches. Nothing special, in so much as an average person can easily make in their home, but they're still good. I had the California and my girlfriend had the Vegan out. They tasted good, but they tasted exactly like what was put in them. Nothing more, nothing less. The bread looked and tasted like white bread, and it's supposed to be sourdough, so I guess it's a different version of it. All in all, nobody will be let down by this nice place. Especially if your expectations aren't excessive.

Really loved this little gem! The Last Drop Cafe was extremely clean, provided great service and had great options. I don't drink coffee myself, but my mom and friend do so I wanted to treat them to a local coffee shop that had oat milk and this place did! They both said the drinks were amazing and very tasty. Thank you so much !

I'm a sandwich girlie so I was excited to try this place. Its a very small shop with a few tables inside and one table outside. I waited about 10 mins before anyone realized I was there as both employees were in the back. I ordered the california that had turkey and avocado along with a green tea and can soda. Oh boy was it expensive! I paid almost $30 for everything. The food came out quick. I was surprised to see the size of the sandwich was a regular sized bread. The taste was good but nothing amazing. Sadly, I would not come back for the price alone.

I was in the area and wanted to find a quick place for breakfast and coffee. For parking, there is plenty of street parking in the front of the shop. The actual store is small on the inside with limited seats and you'll probably won't find seating if it's busy. I ordered the "classic" sandwich and it came with a perfect ratio of ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I also got an iced cappuccino with milk and no sugar. I will say it was pretty pricey for what I ordered. Note: They do not accept American Express.

Stopped by on Saturday, 06/29/24 for the first time. Ordered the following to go: - 1 Iced Matcha Latte (medium) = $6.50 / also asked to make it less sweet (1/4 sweet and to add oatmilk) TOTAL $7.80 Honestly I didn't taste much of the matcha, but maybe it was due to my request to make it less sweet? I tasted more of the oat milk for sure. Drink wasn't green at all. Sadly I'm rating my experience a 1/5.

These sandwiches never disappoint. There's not much seating but there's a few tables and one outside. They are pretty pricy for one sandwich. I paid about 16 dollars for this one sandwich and that is it. That's pretty pricey.. they didn't used to be this pricey. I personally won't go back soon just because of the price

I got the ultimate breakfast sandwich and it was SO yummy probably one of the best sandwiches I've had for breakfast. The woman at the counter was also such a nice person :) excited to show my friends this place!

I usually stop in when I head to the farmers market and it's always the best coffee, food, and service. The owners are really nice and it seems like there's plenty of regulars they see often. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

Double Decker Breakfast SOOOOOO GOOD and flavorful

i got the double decker so good and flavorful one of the best bagels i've had!! Employees are the sweetest as well!

Turkey sandwich. Supposed to be on sour but the bread stuck to the paper and didn't have the flavor or texture of sourdough.

We came on a weekend and it was super busy (as it should be honestly with how amazing the food and service are). We got the blackened salmon with penne pasta and baby potatoes, and the flat iron steak with bow tie pasta and herb brown rice. The steak was cooked perfectly medium. The bow tie pasta is served cold and has a vinegary flavor to it, definitely a distinct taste, but I personally loved it because I enjoy sour/vinegary flavors. I can see why it might not be everyone's favorite though, but I personally really enjoyed it. The salmon was also super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Same with the penne pasta and potatoes. Honestly everything was just made really well and good. For the sauce, we got their popular jalapeno garlic sauce and it paired well with absolutely everything. Needless to say, this place was really good from head to toe. I also got to meet the owner and he was super friendly too. I seriously wish they would open one closer to my area. Parking was really easy and the ambience was lively with sports playing all around the bar and plenty of seating.

My personal favorite is the blackened salmon with the penne pasta base. Sauce is always hard to choose and I end up picking a different one every time (haven't been disappointed yet!). Walking into the establishment, the atmosphere was clean and organized. It didn't feel chaotic even though they were a little busy. There wasn't much of a greeting when I walked in, but it wasn't a big deal they seemed focused on getting orders out. Pickup was simple and straightforward. Now let's talk about the food. The lobster mac was the highlight. They were not shy with the lobster with generous chunks throughout. That was a major plus. Nothing worse than ordering lobster mac and getting tiny flakes. This one actually delivered. Creamy, rich, and the lobster pieces made every bite worth it. The clam chowder was creamy and had a nice texture, but it was a bit mediocre overall. Mainly because there weren't enough clams in it, and it came without oyster crackers which feels like a must with chowder. Flavor was decent, just needed a little more substance. The sourdough bread, though? That was a treat. They were not stingy with it. Nice chewy texture, fresh, and flavorful. It definitely elevated the meal and honestly might have been my favorite part alongside the lobster mac. Overall, solid experience. A few small things that could improve, like more meat, but the generous lobster and that sourdough bread make it worth coming back.

Some Crust on the Claremont Village is still my go-to place for specialty cakes…read more I ordered a 65th birthday cake for my coworker a week ago Tuesday in person. Devin helped me to fill out the order form. It's a 9 inch round black and white cake, with raspberry jam filling and buttercream frosting. My coworker is stylish and always has her hair makeup and nails perfect so I thought elegant with pink and white roses. (The gold Happy Birthday candle I added for 3D effect and was not included.) I scheduled for 7 a.m. pickup today. There was the usual morning rush at the bakery but I was still in and out of there within 15 minutes. It turned out great!! My coworker was super happy and as always the cake itself is moist and delicious, not overly sweet. Well done, Some Crust, and thank you!

They sent us several mock-ups with colors and design styles throughout the process so we could see and approve of every little detail. We did two rounds of tastings (one at the shop and another at home) and coordinating the second round to finalize our flavors was super easy. Also, they coordinated directly with our florist to incorporate live flowers that perfectly matched the butter cream florals on the cake and the flowers on my dress. Another bakery (Cucamonga Cakery... yikes) told us this would be impossible and tried to make us feel dumb for wanting it. Some Crust made it happen EASILY. They brought our vision to life and the cake was seriously stunning! And the taste is so light and fresh! Special shoutout to Gabrielle for her quick responses, positive attitude, and overall amazing service throughout the entire process. She took care of us every step of the way. Thank you!!

Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments during dinner. We ordered the crab cakes and were told they were unavailable. We then ordered lamb chops, which were also unavailable. Thankfully, the food we did receive was amazing and we were still enjoying our evening while waiting for birthday dessert. What completely changed the experience was when the manager, Destiny, approached our table and told us we needed to move to accommodate another party. We explained that we also had a reservation, were still eating, and were waiting on dessert. Instead of handling the situation professionally, her approach came off with an attitude and as though we were an inconvenience for not wanting to move in the middle of our meal. As a manager, professionalism and customer service matter, especially when guests are celebrating special occasions. Better reservation management could have prevented this situation entirely. Even other guests nearby seemed shocked by what was happening. Roger ended up apologizing on her behalf, even though he was not the issue. He truly did his best to save the experience, while the manager never came back to apologize herself. The food and our waiter were excellent, but the management experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

A most near second is the braised short rib, served with a delectable and cloud-soft heap of mashed potatoes. Of lesser note were the wagyu tacos, pigs in a blanket, and the maple pecan butter cake, which proved but ordinary in their savor. Why gave I it four? - Forsooth, the service remaineth most excellent, the choices ample, and the fare overall commendable. Know thou, many of the draughts afore-mentioned were priced for happy hour as a small note. Of those dishes deemed but middling, the wagyu tacos and pigs in a blanket lacked that wondrous spark upon the tongue. Lastly, the dry-aged ribeye, though served with seasoning apart, did taste somewhat over-salted to mine palate. Yet, these faults did not greatly diminish mine experience for I retain my favored dishes and shall return anon.
