All the stuff I ordered on my açaí bowl.
    Jenny V.

My daughter and I had to try out the new açaí place at the Claremont Village. It had a prior name, but the owner told us they're new so we tried them out, and they did not disappoint. We ordered two açaí bowls (build your own). You order it through a computer screen. It's very easy to do. My daughter's açaí bowl was simple but I wanted to try all the good stuff of toppings they had to offer. I was very satisfied with my order! So delicious and will order the same thing when I come back. We ate our açaí bowls inside because the place looks so clean and refreshing. It was a nice experience. Congratulations to the new owners!

Mia is a very kind lady that gave great recommendations for me and my company. The inside is nice and clean, no complaints. I ordered the blue butterfly smoothie and two build your own bowls. They're all very tasty. All the fruits tasted sweet and ripe. The portions are pretty big in these 16 oz bowls. My blue butterfly is easily the best fruit smoothie I've had in California. It tastes naturally sweet and I can taste each individual fruit in a very complementary way. Fantastic staff and food. I very much recommend.

I guess with certain things I am not used to change. I LOVED loved the previous place Pepo Melo where you go in, order at the counter and have control over what fruits and how much you wanted included customizing toppings and what not. I don't know why did they change into The Peel. Today I woke up craving an açaí bowl and thought why don't I try this new place out. Maybe it's better than the previous one. Just give it a try, I said. Verdict: it's just okay. I was greeted by friendly staff who tells me I have to order at the kiosk. Really? Okaaaay. How am I supposed to customize and actually have a conversation with the staff like I normally would do? I ordered their Blue Majik açaí bowl and I customized it by adding coconut chia. The chia did not taste right. It didn't taste like coconut not even a hint. The blue açaí was sweet and delicious. The fruits: mango, banana and pineapple were fresh. Their toasted coconut is a must.... But I couldn't exactly put my finger on what was wrong with my bowl. I think it was either the chia pudding or the oatmeal in it that tasted funky. I'm bummed I wasn't completely satisfied. Prices were average and I did notice small flies around the seating area. I miss the old açaí bowl spot... oh well.

Great place to go for smoothie bowls. The fruit and ingredients are fresh and the service is quick. The bowls are fully customizable with a large variety of topping options. I had the acai base and it was a little sweet, but still delicious!

Today I tried this spot for the first time, it was recommended by a friend. My açaí bowl was delicious. It was fresh and perfectly sweet! Inside the location is clean and welcoming. It was easy to order and service was excellent. I can't wait to come back and try more bowls!

    ¡Delicioso!

Wonderful place to have a delicious açaí bowl. I will definitely be back to try their sandwiches .

We came on a weekend and it was super busy (as it should be honestly with how amazing the food and service are). We got the blackened salmon with penne pasta and baby potatoes, and the flat iron steak with bow tie pasta and herb brown rice. The steak was cooked perfectly medium. The bow tie pasta is served cold and has a vinegary flavor to it, definitely a distinct taste, but I personally loved it because I enjoy sour/vinegary flavors. I can see why it might not be everyone's favorite though, but I personally really enjoyed it. The salmon was also super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Same with the penne pasta and potatoes. Honestly everything was just made really well and good. For the sauce, we got their popular jalapeno garlic sauce and it paired well with absolutely everything. Needless to say, this place was really good from head to toe. I also got to meet the owner and he was super friendly too. I seriously wish they would open one closer to my area. Parking was really easy and the ambience was lively with sports playing all around the bar and plenty of seating.

Walking into the establishment, the atmosphere was clean and organized. It didn't feel chaotic even though they were a little busy. There wasn't much of a greeting when I walked in, but it wasn't a big deal they seemed focused on getting orders out. Pickup was simple and straightforward. Now let's talk about the food. The lobster mac was the highlight. They were not shy with the lobster with generous chunks throughout. That was a major plus. Nothing worse than ordering lobster mac and getting tiny flakes. This one actually delivered. Creamy, rich, and the lobster pieces made every bite worth it. The clam chowder was creamy and had a nice texture, but it was a bit mediocre overall. Mainly because there weren't enough clams in it, and it came without oyster crackers which feels like a must with chowder. Flavor was decent, just needed a little more substance. The sourdough bread, though? That was a treat. They were not stingy with it. Nice chewy texture, fresh, and flavorful. It definitely elevated the meal and honestly might have been my favorite part alongside the lobster mac. Overall, solid experience. A few small things that could improve, like more meat, but the generous lobster and that sourdough bread make it worth coming back.

Some Crust on the Claremont Village is still my go-to place for specialty cakes…read more I ordered a 65th birthday cake for my coworker a week ago Tuesday in person. Devin helped me to fill out the order form. It's a 9 inch round black and white cake, with raspberry jam filling and buttercream frosting. My coworker is stylish and always has her hair makeup and nails perfect so I thought elegant with pink and white roses. (The gold Happy Birthday candle I added for 3D effect and was not included.) I scheduled for 7 a.m. pickup today. There was the usual morning rush at the bakery but I was still in and out of there within 15 minutes. It turned out great!! My coworker was super happy and as always the cake itself is moist and delicious, not overly sweet. Well done, Some Crust, and thank you!

They sent us several mock-ups with colors and design styles throughout the process so we could see and approve of every little detail. We did two rounds of tastings (one at the shop and another at home) and coordinating the second round to finalize our flavors was super easy. Also, they coordinated directly with our florist to incorporate live flowers that perfectly matched the butter cream florals on the cake and the flowers on my dress. Another bakery (Cucamonga Cakery... yikes) told us this would be impossible and tried to make us feel dumb for wanting it. Some Crust made it happen EASILY. They brought our vision to life and the cake was seriously stunning! And the taste is so light and fresh! Special shoutout to Gabrielle for her quick responses, positive attitude, and overall amazing service throughout the entire process. She took care of us every step of the way. Thank you!!

Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments during dinner. We ordered the crab cakes and were told they were unavailable. We then ordered lamb chops, which were also unavailable. Thankfully, the food we did receive was amazing and we were still enjoying our evening while waiting for birthday dessert. What completely changed the experience was when the manager, Destiny, approached our table and told us we needed to move to accommodate another party. We explained that we also had a reservation, were still eating, and were waiting on dessert. Instead of handling the situation professionally, her approach came off with an attitude and as though we were an inconvenience for not wanting to move in the middle of our meal. As a manager, professionalism and customer service matter, especially when guests are celebrating special occasions. Better reservation management could have prevented this situation entirely. Even other guests nearby seemed shocked by what was happening. Roger ended up apologizing on her behalf, even though he was not the issue. He truly did his best to save the experience, while the manager never came back to apologize herself. The food and our waiter were excellent, but the management experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

A most near second is the braised short rib, served with a delectable and cloud-soft heap of mashed potatoes. Of lesser note were the wagyu tacos, pigs in a blanket, and the maple pecan butter cake, which proved but ordinary in their savor. Know thou, many of the draughts afore-mentioned were priced for happy hour as a small note. Of those dishes deemed but middling, the wagyu tacos and pigs in a blanket lacked that wondrous spark upon the tongue. Lastly, the dry-aged ribeye, though served with seasoning apart, did taste somewhat over-salted to mine palate.
