I had read several favorable reviews of this restaurant for at least two years,. So, accompanied by Diane I finally went here to dine for the first time, for dinner. Since I like Italian restaurants more than any other type this was not a difficult decision. Complimentary Hearty Grain Bread and Olive Bread with crispy edges were both very tasty either slathered with butter or smeared with an excellent homemade Tapenade. Two excellent non-spicy Dungeness Crab Cakes were next up, that tasted great with or without housemade Tartar Sauce. And, a generous portion of Calamari Frittii--both rings and tentacles--was well cooked but the individual pieces were quite small. Before our entrees arrived, I addressed a bowl of Tortellini Brodo that featured tasty cheese-filled tortellini and Chicken Broth with a few peas, some carrot, and corn. Then we moved on to main dishes. Diane was accommodated with a modified Tortellini Alfredo that she liked except for noting that the Alfredo Sauce was too salty. And I had Lasagna Di Carne that contained obviously made from scratch large lasagna noodles, a lot of cheese, and nicely seasoned ground meat. Despite my best efforts to finish this rich entree, I wound up taking about one-third home for a pleasing lunch the next day. We lubricated our meal with Blackberry Jasmine Tea for me, and Chamomile Tea for her. Descriptions of available desserts sounded very enticing. Maybe next time! Service by our head server Daniel was excellent and very attentive, and other restaurant personnel we encountered were all very friendly. I also liked the somewhat romantic, white-linen-tablecloth ambiance of this place. We will most assuredly return. XXXX-1/2 overall on this first visit!

I cannot recommend Spaggi's enough after our first time here of many to come. Prices are super affordable for what you get & even though we were full we had to make space for the deserts they offer. Scott was our waiter tonight and he had the entire menu memorized along with specials which was pretty impressive alongside Ana the event coordinator that made us sure of who to go for needing vendor services. Everything was so amazing, extremely flavorful and different dishes from one another.

After years of hearing about this place and having it on my list as a place to go, I FINALLY made it happen and was glad I finally went. It was a milestone birthday for my husband and we didn't feel like driving far so I was definitely glad that there was somewhere close to go to that was nice. We went on a Wednesday night and reservations were easy to get. Going in feels like a restaurant in Italy and I love Italy so this felt right at home for me. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari because I'd read a lot about it and it didn't disappoint. The chef also added some macaroni balls for us to try which were nice and creamy and not dry. Yay! To start, they brought us some bread and olive tapenade - yum, very nice way to start the meal. I could have been done with just this. My husband ordered a Screwdriver from the menu to drink but they couldn't make it, boo. For dinner, my husband ordered the tomahawk to celebrate his birthday. Go husband!!! The tomahawk was nicely sliced at the table and came with some really good mashed potatoes and veggies. He very much enjoyed it and enjoyed leftovers the next day also. I couldn't decide between the cioppino and the lobster ravioli so I got both. Didn't realize the cioppino was going to be so big. The flavor was a bit too sweet for me but the waiter brought us some peppers and that made an incredible difference. The lobster ravioli was just ok that day. I took it home and ate it the 2nd day and it was delicious the next day. For dessert, my husband ordered the Creme brûlée cheesecake and they also gave him a piece of carrot cake. This allowed him to finish his night very divinely. All in all, a great experience. I'd like to try some other things on the menu. Hopefully, next time my son is in town so he can experience it with us. Our waiter was nice and got us what we needed for the most part. Enjoyable experience and definitely nice to have close to home.

Came here to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Reservation highly recommended for large group. The restaurant is so elegant and nice inside. Great place to celebrate a birthday or if you are going on a date. The staffs were so nice and friendly. Service was top notch. They have breads on the house with housemade olive spread. Was so good. We ordered the followings: - Scampi Al Limone (Shrimp) - Chilean Sea Bass - Linguini Vongole (Clam) - Ravioli Di Aragosta (Lobster) - Fettuccini Alfredo with a side of mushrooms and peas All were very good. We enjoyed our dishes. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommend.

This review is years overdue! Spaggi's is a family favorite, and has been a beautiful experience for so many special meals, celebrations, and memories. It's a bit of a hidden gem, but do not be fooled by the shopping center. As soon as you walk through the doors, you are transported to one of the finest dining experiences in our area and truly unparalleled customer service. The heirloom beat and tomato salad is a must-have - we literally order it every single time. We've never had bad meal, but especially love the rotating fresh pastas. The lobster ravioli is rich but delicious. Try to save room for dessert - it's always a yummy selection. Thank you Chef Henry and Anna for years of incredible meals!

Wow! Service was great. Upon arrival me and my party were a bit early, but we were seated at a timely manner. The seating outside was cute. The food was heavenly. I've had lobster ravioli before, but these were absolutely delicious. One of the best I've ever had. Love that cream sauce. Cioppino was tasty and definitely memorable. Although the tapenade wasn't featured in my post, it was incredible.

    Linguini Pesto Pomodoro

Visited Spaggi's back in August of 2024 and I was surprised to see that the location was in basically a strip mall, but the atmosphere inside made it seem like you walked into a completely different place than where you came from. Our server was really nice and attentive and was patient to share with us his recommendations. Table got the linguini pesto pomodoro and the braised short rib. I've never had anything quite like the linguini because my palate had been previously limited to pesto and tomato sauce separately up until now but it complemented each other so well. The richness of the pesto mixed with the acidic tomato made a surprising tasty combination. The short rib was made well! Very simple but in a way that I knew that it wasn't going to fail me when I first saw it. This might sound silly but the star of the table that wowed me was the olive tapenade (not pictured) and how good it went with the bread. Throughout the meal I couldn't help but keep going back to it!

Came here to celebrate my wife's birthday and we had a pleasant experience. It was a bit odd when we walked in as we stood near the entrance for about 10 minutes (was even passed by who I think was a hostess coming on shift) before we were acknowledged. Once we were seated for our reservation our server and the food redeemed our decision to dine here. The vibe is more intimate and a bit fancy with white table cloth. Good spot for a date night or a special occasion. Their osso buco was tender and delicious. Our kids enjoyed the accompanying pasta and the calamari appetizer we ordered. We'll be back to try some of the other dishes. They got pretty busy while we were there so definitely suggest making reservations in advance.

This is my very first time coming here and I was so pleased that the staff were so nice and attentive. I was very surprised and excited to get a chef complementary pasta dish and it was soo yummy! I got the pesto pasta and it was full of flavor. All in all I will be coming back for date night

When we called ahead, no one mentioned they were only serving a limited St. Patrick's Day menu today. Nothing from the regular menu was available. My daughter ended up eating plain fries the whole time because there wasn't a single kid-appropriate option. It felt misleading after being told it's family-friendly when we called prior to coming. The place was packed. The line was out the door, and we had a long wait. Inside was uncomfortably hot and stuffy too. I was eyeing the Cottage Pie but asked the server about peas (not a fan), and she said it might have a lot, so I passed. My wife ordered it instead since she doesn't mind peas and surprise, zero peas in it. She said it was just okay, nothing special, so I guess I didn't miss out. I went with the Irish Nachos instead. They were fine, but the house-made potato chips were underwhelming. Crispy but not flavorful. The standout was the lemon pepper wings. Those were actually really good. Green beer was a fun thematic touch too. Atmosphere is lively for the holiday, but for a regular visit or even future St. Patrick's Day? Probably not coming back. If you're planning to go on the big day, brace for crowds and waits. And for fun, here's a limerick summing it up: There once was a pub in Upland so grand, For St. Paddy's we joined hand in hand. But the menu was slim, Kid options were grim, Just fries for our lass, what a bland! The heat made us sweat, lines out the door, Cottage Pie? "Peas maybe." We weren't sure. No peas in the end, Wife said "meh" my friend, Nachos were fine, wings we adored. Green beer was cool, but that's all the cheer, Average at best, won't return here. Three stars is the call, For the holiday thrall. Fun once, but not every year!

We had about 26 people, and I was so concerned that I wouldn't be able to find a place that could seat us all on a Saturday evening. I emailed with Alex, the taproom manager, a little less than 2 weeks before the date I wanted, and she told me that they would be able to accommodate us! I was so incredibly relieved! After our axe throwing, we walked the VERY short walk across the street, and Alex and her staff had our tables ready to go for everyone! They made our huge group feel so welcomed and taken care of from the moment we got there! Alex explained to us that the food and drinks are ordered at the registers, which made it so easy and convenient for everyone to not have to worry about doing separate checks for a big group (that can get confusing and messy sometimes). The beers, seltzers, and food were all incredible!!! Even the most particular people in our group raved about how good everything was, and trust me when I say, that is a high compliment! The staff were absolutely incredible as well! They were so knowledgeable about the beers, so patient with our big group, and were just so helpful and kind! Everyone is still talking about how great everything was, and I'm truly so grateful to Alex and the rest of the staff at Rescue Brewing for making my husband's birthday so amazing!! The brewery had a lot of TVs, which was perfect because I was able to catch the Lakers game that night. The bartenders were super friendly and worked efficiently, even with such a large crowd. The 90's alternative rock playing in the background had all of us nodding along. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.
