awesome mediterranean food. makes a perfect food stop after hiking in mt. baldy area. i had just finished backpacking to ontario peak so this place was conveniently located to make a stop on the way down. i wanted some fresh food with good protein and they surely had that here! we shared two plates, chicken kabob and steak kabob. both were great, but the chicken kabob i liked more. had a deep complex flavor with juicy meat. the steak was perfectly cooked though, amazing flavor too. had the baba ghanoush aka smoked eggplant dip with tahini (sesame) and oh my gawd that was SO good. ordered fresh pita and arranged little "tacos" with all the stuff. ordered the salad which had the perfect amount of a light tangy sweet dressing and a large assortment of veggies such as peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. the rice was so yummy as well and the hummus, good :). service was very friendly. also got a turkish coffee which i did not like, maybe an acquired taste, but the caffeine was great haha. all in all, next time i'm in mt. baldy area imma surely grab a bite here. makes the perfect post hike recovery meal. This was such a nice gem that I discovered. I was greeted immediately by the hostess and sat down to put it my order. My wife wanted Mediterranean food for her birthday and she wanted to try this place out because of the lamb chops. Food is top notch, I love Mediterranean food and this one had a good amount of options. All the dishes were flavorful. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender and seasoned well. The lamb chops were grilled perfectly to a medium rare. Decent size serving for the grilled combo platter as well as the Kafta plate. Chicken and beef kabob were nice and juicy goes well with the hummus and garlic sauce. The waitress was attentive and service was pretty fast. Fast service, good food, and decent prices. We went for lunch and tried the chicken, beef, and kobideh. My favorite items were the hummus and baba ganoush. Everything else was good, pretty much what you would expect from a Mediterranean restaurant, nothing fancy, nothing bad, just solid overall. They also had a pomegranate sauce that some people may enjoy, but I still preferred the hummus and baba ganoush more. 2/13/24 Exploring the Inland Empire's Mediterranean cuisine.... This was a recommendation by our neighbors & it's a great find. Hubby really loved the beef kabob because it was flavorful & tender, juicy. We came in on a Tuesday evening about 6 pm & there was nobody at the restaurant. It makes me feel a little apprehensive when it's this quiet & desolate looking. There's a Thai restaurant next door in this small plaza & was tempted to go there instead but that's for another day perhaps. We were promptly greeted & seated by a gentleman that addressed us as "friends" It is as if we were the first customers of the evening because the music was off when we entered then it was turned on once we were seated. We're creatures of habit & usually know what to order: his beef kabob combo, rare and a combo for me (beef & chicken kafta, beef kabob). He served the hummus & pita for us to munch on while waiting for our meals-which arrived promptly. The basmati rice was plentiful, tasty & the meats were cooked perfectly, flavorful, tender, moist (well seasoned). Price point was reasonable for the amount of food & how delicious it was. I read the reviews from Le Chef several days ago and told my wife that we needed to try it. Today was the day. We arrived shortly after opening and were seated right away. The menu looked good so she decided to try the chix kebab and I had the combo platter with chix, beef and lula kebab. I had the salad and babaganouj sides and we ordered the kibbe appetizer. Overall, the meal was decent. The predominant flavor in the seasoning of the chicken, hummus and even the garlic dip was... lemon! I appreciate a good dose of lemon, but the wife, not so much. The meat was all tender and juicy and the babaganouj was excellent. The kibbe was excellent and flavorful with a different texture on the outer shell than what I have known. Billy took good care of us and we left satisfied. I'm not ready to make Le Chef my "go to" Mediterranean restaurant, but I'll need to return to try the lamb dishes. read more

We have tried many mediterranean places in Upland and beyond, and this place has by far the best food - the kabobs are second to none, as the meat is always tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned.
