Came in on a Friday afternoon and it was super quiet, only one table inside. Ordered to go and the cashier didn't seem very familiar with the menu, which made things a little awkward. We ordered the steak kabob plate with rice and salad and the souvlaki plate with Mediterranean fries plus a side of falafel. The wait was longer than expected, especially since it wasn't busy, and the bag felt oddly light when we got it. The food was disappointing. The steak pieces were small and pretty dry, and half the plate was just rice. The salad and falafel were okay but nothing special. For about 50 dollars with no drinks, it didn't feel worth it at all. Also no turnips, no extra veggies, and no hummus with the pita which felt like a miss. Overall, I wouldn't come back. I'd rather go to Cafe X20 which is way better and not far from here. read more

Ok let's get this out of the way first- this place is 100x better than Luna Grill. The food takes a little while to come out but that is the price of quality folks. I had the lamb kebabs, roasted potatoes and moderna salad and it was all very fresh, flavorful and overall tastes homemade. It is very hard to find food prepared with this kind of tlc around here. I paid $16.87 and drive all the way home only to find out there is no hummus only the dip I can't stand. I called, I told him he left the hummus out and I would be bringing the food back for a refund. He's wasted my time and my gas. I get there, and he said "is it that big of a deal?" Both times I have purchased the chicken kebab pita wrap. My friend has gotten the chicken kebab plate with a side of salad and hummus. The pita bread is warm and nicely toasted. The fries made it more enjoyable. Presentation was okay. I rated this dish a 6.5/10. My friend ordered the Grilled Steak Wrap. It consisted of a warm flour wrap stuffed with steak, lettuce, and sour cream. The steak was too dry that the lettuce nor sour cream could've helped it. Presentation was also okay. I would leave 0 stars if I could. I am absolutely appalled by my experience here today. I ordered 2 meals, 1 appetizer, 1 side using their preferred online method : their personal website. Order went through by 11:45 am and I was given an estimated time of 12:05 for my food to be ready. I show up at 12:00 and let the girl know I'm there for my online order. She informed me that it would be a 20 minute wait. Why? I just waited 20 minutes from ordering online! She tells me they just opened...huh? What time do you guys open, as I turn around and see the door states 11am they open. Weird because it's 12pm. No problem though, I'm patient. I wait the 20 mins she tells me. 20 minutes go by, I ask if my food is ready, one guy tells me 4 minutes, and then the manager told me 10 more minutes?? Really cutting close now into my lunch from work. 10 minutes goes by and it is now 12:40. I have to be back to work by 1, my food doesn't come out for 3 more minutes. I check the contents of my bag because I can already tell there's items missing. I open each container : I am missing 2 sides of pita bread, 1 salad, 1 side of vegetables, and the appetizer of falafel. I ask for garlic sauce and they don't have any. I tell him what's missing and he just says he's going to refund these items? Where is it? Why is it missing? The chicken kabobs are BURNT. Oh AND apparently they're out of falafel?? Why is he JUST telling me that over an hour after I placed my order? By now it's 12:50 and I have to drive back to work so there goes my lunch break! I take what's in the bag and came back to work since they only refunded me what they didn't provide me - which was inaccurate because when I added it up it should have been $20 not $17. My coworkers and I were trying to call to speak to the manager and the guy kept answering the phone and just leaving it off the hook but wouldn't speak. After about an hour he finally answered the phone and when I explained how upset and disappointed we were about the customer service and our order being incomplete, he said "Well, you're gonna have to make due." Might be the best Mediterranean food i've had. The souvlaki was full of flavor and not greasy. The lamb gyro meat melted in my mouth. Mediterranean fries were a first and a wonderful treat. And the hummus was just lovely, great flavors and not messy with oils. Oh, and the most unique was their pita bread. They grill it ! So its a little firm on one side. Almost a little crisp. Three years ago I had recommended Cafe Moderno to a former coworker who had come back and said "it was fantastic." I had visited many times but had a few experiences where I stopped visiting. Today I decided to give them another try. I ordered over the phone, since I figured there would be a lunch rush around noon. I was told 20 mins but arrived earlier since I work in the area. It was very smoky inside - like something had been burnt. While I waited, I noticed how busy it was. I also noticed a few others waiting, one of which came back after she had received her order because it was missing 2 items. It took about 35 mins from when my order was placed for it to be ready.. which is fair given the lunch rush. I had ordered a falafel wrap, fries, and a side of Baba Ghanoush. The fries were not there and the Baba Ghanoush didn't taste like Baba Ghanoush. I thought about going back and asking for the fries but changed my mind since I had seen the fries handled without any gloves. The wrap wasn't bad.. just dry. With other good Mediterranean/Greek spots in the area, I wouldn't recommend Cafe Moderno. read more

I was so disappointed in the food and service here. It was my first time and I ordered the calamari. The Mediterranean fries had an ok taste, but were extremely soggy. The Caesar salad dressing had an odd mustard flavor. The calamari was the worst I've ever had. It was extremely chewy and tasted like it was fried in old oil. I asked if I could switch out my entree for a different protein and was only offered rice, or I could pay for something else. They did not seem to care about the poor food quality. I decided to order the combo kabobs with chicken and steak, grilled vegetables, and hummus while my husband wanted the combo kabobs with rice and Mediterranean fries. The seasoning to the steak tasted bland and it was rough to chew on while the chicken didn't. The rice and vegetable tasted good. The hummus and Mediterranean fries was okay and I was really craving for that, but I have tasted better one elsewhere. The price of the food is on the pricier end since it is Mediterranean food. The staff was friendly. There is tons of parking spaces. Overall, I personally wouldn't come here again. I will continue my search on finding delicious Mediterranean food. read more
