Arcy and Alicia were excellent in providing great customer service. My husband and I showed up at about 7:57pm not realizing they close at 8pm. Arcy was so kind and she said were you coming to dine in or takeout? We said dine in. She said, "I would seat you but we close at 8, would you like to do takeout?" We said sure we'll do takeout. Arcy went the extra mile in provided the food and making us feel at home although we had to do takeout. Thanks again Arcy and Alicia keep up being Famous! Stopped by Famous Dave's recently and the first thing I noticed was the sticky table, which was kind of a turn-off right from the start. On the positive side, the place has some really cute décor--I actually liked the old advertisements on the walls, and the little mini sink for handwashing was a fun touch. Kids menus were cool. The kiddos can wear them as hats after or before coloring on the inside. The staff was friendly, but the service was surprisingly slow, especially since the restaurant was basically empty. Surprised to see a BBQ establishment with barely any patrons near the airport. The food was okay, nothing terrible but nothing memorable either. Honestly, between the sticky table and the slow service, I ended up losing my appetite and didn't finish my meal. This is not a typical thing that I do. This review is for the Famous Dave's located in Citrus Plaza on Lugonia in SB. Well, I like the food and beverages when I can get them, but the last few times I've been there I had to walk thru the place to find someone. From what I can tell, the day shift consists of 1 wait staff. This person was doing it all, working the bar and waitressing for the entire restaurant. One of the best bbq places in the ie. Too bad it's so inconsistent...some days 4 stars, some days 2 stars. Today I ordered brisket, which was a 2...dry...and order didn't come with any sauce. Brisket tasted good, wish I had some sauce. The Cole slaw and Mac and cheese sides were fine, corn bread is always good. Also ordered some St Louis ribs...today cold, and dried out...and again no extra sauce....corn was delicious as well as the potato salad. Have had this before, and enjoyed both in the past. On Sunday we ordered (2) 2 meat plates and burnt ends appetizer, at 5:26pm. Order confirmation came back, pickup order at 5:56pm. We showed up 6:05 pm, had to wait until 6:50 to get our order that should have been ready and waiting. The food was decent, but we are quite disappointed in Dave's for making us wait an hour beyond the time they committed to. We'd stopped going to Dave's a while back because the food was awful, we tried them recently and the food was much better. Not worth the wait however... We know Lucille's has really good food and doesn't make customers sit in the parking lot for an hour waiting on an order, no reason to go back to Dave's. read more

Owners/Corporate need to check on this location. Had the biggest dog $H!t dinner, I have ever had in my life. Had a 3 meat combo, and well the best part of my meal was the chips and the only reason they were good is because they came 15+ mins late after my food arrived, but they were hot and tasty. We had a great experience at Famous Dave's this evening. We came in close to closing time with a party of 7 (yes, you can judge lol). Once we were seated our server Joe was quick to grab our drink orders and get us started. This is always a big plus with a 2 year old! The food came out promptly and everything was just as we ordered. We had a feast and a couple of combo plates. The chopped pork and the brisket were really good, and the new (to us? It's been a while since we've last been there...) cornbread was delicious! Joe did a great job taking care of everyone and being attentive. First time and I know I won't be back, shall we get into it? 1. Table was very sticky 2. Restroom door, door handle and no bathroom paper, really dirty. 2. My meat was extremely salty(if its a good cut of beef, you don't need to over salt it, just season it and that's all) When we were walking up to the restaurant, the outer area sidewalk was really dirty, stuff stuck to the walkway, no curb appeal at all, sorry but that's the first thing a customer sees, just like curb appeal for property. Well the food is good. Inside dining offers great service. But do not go there for to go order at holidays. 1) my order was to be picked up at 4:00. I stood in line for one hour and 30 minutes, at least 30 minutes in the rain, before the y allowed the line to move under the covered patio. 2) they couldn't find my order because they used first names and not last names. I also heard them tell people that due to an overwhelming demand, they did not have any phone-in or mobile app orders that were placed on Christmas Eve. I recommend them on regular days, but they struggled with the large number of to go orders at the holiday. read more

Worst service EVER!! Placed an online curbside order, would not allow me to use a gift card online. When I called to complete the order, I was told to pay when I arrived. Arrived on time, called as instructed, and a young man said I see your order, I will bring it out. Waited 15 minutes. Called again. Young lady said have your order ready. I will have it brought out away. Waited 10 minutes and went in. Was told by a very rude young lady that we don't bring food out that isn't paid for. I asked why I wasn't told that the first time I called. She laughed and said how am I supposed to know. Needless to say the food was cold. No dressing on salad. Two of the sides were not included. However, we waited for around 45 minutes after being told it was only going to be a 15 minute wait. We also waited 20 minutes for the check after we had already gotten to-go boxes.
