The hostess was friendly, attentive, and appeared to be doing an excellent job managing guests. After being seated, our drink order was taken promptly. Unfortunately, the service experience declined significantly afterward. Our waitress returned several times to assist neighboring tables, including one that was seated after us, and took their food orders without ever acknowledging our table or checking on us. After waiting approximately 45 minutes to an hour, we asked a staff member who was serving coffee if someone could take our order. She stated that she would notify someone, but no one ever came to our table, and we observed her continue with other duties without following up. Given that it was Father's Day, this was especially disappointing, as it prevented my family and me from enjoying what should have been a special breakfast outing. Ultimately, we decided to leave without ordering and informed the hostess of the situation. She apologized, but by that point the experience had already been ruined. This appears to be a management and service issue rather than an isolated mistake. While I appreciate the hostess's professionalism, the lack of communication and attention from the serving staff was unacceptable. Based on this experience, I do not plan to return. When I came in, I asked for a table the waitress took me to a smaller table, and when I asked for a bigger one, she rolled her eyes at me. I was willing to take a gamble and order a coffee to see how they stack up to most places. I usually judge diners or restaurant according to the coffee that they serve. Surprisingly, it was decent. I couldn't decide but Hubby honed in on the (Supreme Stuffed) crepes-great choice coz then I get to sample his meal. Finally ordered the Bacon Skillet which is accompanied with home potatoes & cheddar & 2 fluff butter milk pancakes. In about 15 minutes our hot meals arrived. It's my preference when it states "skillet", I would expect it would be served in an actual/real cast iron skillet. That's probably too much to ask for but the tastiness of my Bacon Skillet won me over--it's the potatoes!!! So good! Perfectly seasoned & cooked, fried the way I like 'em. With every bite, I was just ooh & ahh all around for the potatoes. The bacon was pretty good, could've been crispier though. Hubby thought his crepes were pretty great , good portion. Fortunately, the skillet satisfied my appetite because when I finally tried the pancakes, I was not as thrilled. Yes, "light & fluffy" but nothing spectacular. Perhaps it is my preference for moist with a slight chewiness kind of pancake that didn't meet my criteria. Secretly, I was hoping to find lemon ricotta pancakes on their menu. No such luck. Overall it was a wonderful bkft. Never saw the bottom of my coffee cup, thanks to Lulu. Seniors & military receive 10% discount according to their sign. I used to like this place until I found out today there are age limits to the meals here . I'm not a big eater at times so I chose a kids meal but the server (with red hair) stated that it's ONLY FOR 12 and younger . So instead of ordering a portion that's good for me I had to pick from a different menu because food comes with age limits ? Ridiculous.... So anyone who's kids don't look 12 to the service have to order from an adult menu too? Because there are age limits to the menu items . My wife & I stopped by today for breakfast, our first time here. It's a quaint place and the service was friendly. The food, overall, was ok - not outstanding, not bad just ok. My wife had scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes with nothing outstanding, in fact, her ham was rather dry. I had an omelette with avocado, bacon, & cheese which was quite good. I'd probably get it again if we ever went back but I doubt that'll be the case. The biggest disappointment, for me, was the lack of real maple syrup for the pancakes. They have the usual stuff one would find at IHOP - some blueberry and strawberry flavored syrups along with an "old-fashioned" pancake syrup - all corn syrup based, most likely, but no real, actual maple syrup, sadly. We went in this past Sunday morning just after they opened... we sat at the counter, at first they wanted us to sit in the booth directly next to the front door... it was to dang cold to be sitting there so I asked if we could go further into the restaurant.
