Today I revisited, broken yolk Café. Such a happy place to have a great meal. The Service is amazing at this location. People were celebrating birthdates. customer service is number one at this. The manager came by to see how I was doing Not many restaurants do that. At this restaurant, they shine in that area. Every staff member at this restaurant had a smile on their face. Additional so wonderful to see everyone helping each other. The ambience in this place is number one in my opinion. They help you with the menu if you're unable to eat something they'll help you make a decision. First offered an Arnold Palmer as I walked out. Thank you for making me feel so special today read more

I came here and was super excited. I got the Californian omelette and it was just ok. 7/10 Previously I also had their classic eggs Benedict and their avocado toast. 7/10 Ambiance is nice. It was busy the day my family and I went. The service was mediocre and never came back. But I'm thinking of giving it another shot and try all the other many things they have on their extensive menu and I'll update. read more

I love coming to broken yolk before I leave town. It's the spot my family and I choose for breakfast over and over again. The one in Lavern is my fave because it's the closest to my dad and is always clean and neat. The wait can be long sometimes on Sundays and they don't take reservations over the phone, but it's easy to make them in here. The service is always kinda and the food is always everything I expect. They have a pretty good short stack of cinnacakes and the seasonal drinks are always the best. Ten out of ten recommend! read more

Foods been good, service seems a little slow, hardly anyone in the place and still took almost an hour to get thru breakfast.

Came here with my girlfriend and a friend after our morning walk on a Tuesday morning. We typically are at the Glendora location and this is our first time at the La Verne location. We were seated right away since it was a not a busy Tuesday morning. The hostess let us know that they are currently doing catering for an order and may take a while and we said OK. It didn't take long, and the server came and took our orders. I ordered my usual Spicy Vegan Bowl. (Wish they had more savory breakfast vegan options HINT HINT and why is a bowl of veggies so expensive??). The Spicy Vegan Bowl includes: Plant-based JUST Egg™ scrambled with spinach, mushroom, onion, and red and green bell pepper over home fries and topped with a beyond sausage, avocado, and sriracha for $19.45. On the pricey side for a bowl of vegetables, which is why I don't come as often... My girlfriend had the chilaquiles (Corn tortilla chips sautéed with red or green sauce, topped with two eggs, Jack cheese, red onion, cilantro and sour cream. Choice of shredded chicken, carne asada or beef barbacoa) for $19.95 and she enjoyed it with her Mango Michelada $11.95. My friend had the Country Skillet (ham, bell peppers, onions, and home fries topped with cheddar cheese, sunny-side up eggs, and housemade country gravy) for $18.95. She enjoyed her country skillet with her cherry bomb mimosa . The Cherry bomb mimosa is in the sweeter side and made with syrup. Noise level was average since there weren't many customers for lunch on a Tuesday. Server was nice. One male and one female restroom. Located in a large lot. read more

The food was excellent as always. The service was bad and informed. We waited 50 minutes for breakfast and they said they had a catering order to do. If that is the case they should have called in extra help. A polite warning before we were seated and ordered that it would take an awhile would have been nice.My husband had to inhale and leave without finishing to go to work.. read more

We went to this location on 7/26/26. Usually we love this place. Unfortunately on this visit they were having a really bad day. It was literally an hour from the time we put our names on the list until the time we got (part of) our food even though there were several empty tables. The food didn't come out all at once. The eggs had been sitting and no longer hot when we got them. My coffee had considerably cooled by the time I got a spoon to stir in the cream and sugar. Our individual server was very nice and we could see she was trying her best but overall, the service on this day was definitely not up to par with what we've come to expect from The Broken Yolk. Hopefully our next visit will renew our love for this usually fantastic cafe. read more

I was really disappointed with our experience at Broken Yolk. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet it took an unusually long time for someone to even take our drink order. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. The chilaquiles arrived without any sauce, making the dish nearly inedible. They also forgot to bring our side of onion rings, and when we asked for Caesar dressing with our salad, they brought Italian dressing instead. The worst part of the meal was finding a hair in one of our burgers. At that point, we had completely lost our appetite. Everyone makes mistakes, but having so many issues during a single visit, especially when the restaurant wasn't busy, is unacceptable. We left very disappointed and hope the restaurant improves its attention to detail and quality control. read more

Online orders seem to be taking priority over dine-in customers. We waited 20 minutes before anyone took our drink order, another 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive, and 40 more minutes for our food--even though the dining room wasn't busy. I checked the online wait time while we were waiting, and takeout orders were estimated at just 15 minutes. Good food but Watching other tables get frustrated and leave reminded me why I haven't been back in a while. read more

The food was pretty exquisite, plus it was reasonably portioned. The menu also has a great variety of breakfast foods so you will be sure to find something for yourself. The service was great and understanding. They sat me down immediately and was kind enough to move me to the table I waned. They even brought my girlfriend a muffin for free for her birthday. The ambiance was nothing too crazy but the simplicity was nice, it's great for a breakfast or brunch! Would recommend! read more

My fiancé and I were looking for a quick breakfast spot in between events. When we showed up there was a short wait. Even though we were told it was a 10min wait, we were quickly seated after 5mins of waiting. Our server was so kind and always made sure we were well taken care of. Broken Yolk is always very busy no matter which location you go to. This is my second time at this location. The interiors isn't as nice as other locations that I've been, but food always hit the spot. Good service, good range of menu options.. only negative and keep me from coming as often is the price. I'm officially done with this restaurant. As a former waitress, I always try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt because I know things can go wrong. Unfortunately, this place has been consistently disappointing. We always order our kids' meals as soon as we sit down, along with our drinks, because we know little ones don't like to wait. This is now the second time our children's food (oatmeal and chicken nuggets) has come out after two adult meals. When I asked about it, our server simply said something happened to the first batch. The issue isn't that there was a mistake--it happens. The issue is that no one communicated with us. Good service would have been coming to our table, explaining there was a delay, and letting us know they had to remake the food. Instead, we sat there for nearly 40 minutes wondering where two very simple kids' meals were while our toddlers became increasingly hungry and upset. Once my kids reached the point of melting down, I went to ask for our adult meals to be boxed up because I didn't want to be the family with two crying children disrupting everyone else's meal. Our food was brought out with to-go containers, but we still had no clear answer about when the kids' food would be ready. In the end, we paid for our meals and left. Not once did a manager come by to apologize or check on the situation. The food itself is decent, but it simply isn't worth the long wait, poor communication, or high prices. Save yourself the frustration and dine somewhere that values both your time and your family's experience. read more

Had to stop by AAA and saw this place. The food is great. Both omelet and Benedict were good. Service wise, not really. One of the order came out wrong which is totally fine everyone makes mistake but server walking by and saying I put in the right order and blaming the kitchen just doesn't seem right. Also never came to refill water or the coffee. I dont think we'll be back. read more

Came in on a Friday at 12:30 for a last minute brunch with my friend, party of two! We waited about 10 minutes and were seated on a cozy corner of the back of the restaurant. Our server was friendly and moved quickly to bring out our drink orders. Cappuccino was delicious and the mimosa flight got our morning started right! The grapefruit mimosa felt a little bitter, but I personally don't enjoy grapefruit in general. Otherwise the flight was refreshing. Both of the Benedict's had great flavor and full of toppings. Lots of tasty shredded beef and the breading on the chicken was as crispy while still being juicy. A great breakfast overall and with be back soon read more

Been to other locations in the past and met up with a friend here today. In one word... yuck! The eggs were rubbery, the salmon in the avocado toast brown and the potatoes in both dishes we ordered severely undercooked. I do have to say the bacon was good!this was the only thing decent. Our server was "nice" but not attentive. We had better service from the other servers. It's loud in here and it seems like there is no one in charge. Younger employees just chatting and laughing and ignoring customers. Broken yolk is normally good, this was a true disappointment today! read more

We have been to other locations before, and decided to try this one today. My wife ordered the waffle sandwich and I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. We joined a couple of friends at this location a couple of days ago. Hopefully it was just this location, otherwise its a sad commentary on this chain. I ordered the American breakfast. I asked for poached eggs, bacon, home fries and blueberry muffin along with an iced tea. The eggs were rubbery and lacked any taste at all. The bacon was probably the best item. The potatoes were also of a rubbery consistency and the blueberry muffin was average not spectatular. All in all, I will not be returning. The cost was twice what it should have been, especially for the quality of the food that was served. read more

Service was great! Food could be better.. We've been here a couple times and the desserts/skillets seem to be the best. Then the omelette and then the benedicts. Not too happy with the two choice benedict's I got where you can pick two. The salmon one barely had salmon--maybe I'm just spoiled by other places but the salmon was little and tasted very... off. I will say the Golden State Benedict was better by miles. It was loaded with bacon and avocado! The skillet and omelette were good and did the job of filling up our stomachs but they weren't really flavorful. If anything the skillet was the best. Finally we had dessert which I feel like is their best. We got the trio to sample and it was a good choice to split amongst our group. PARKING: -parking was fairly easy at 9:30ish Saturday but it did get busy when we left around 10:30ish Overall: Above average place to eat brunch at once in a while. Wouldn't wait in line for it though read more

First of all the greeter was a young kid that didn't know anything. Had to call someone to take my order to go then I order the Chilaquiles with Carne Asada.
