I love coming to broken yolk before I leave town. It's the spot my family and I choose for breakfast over and over again. The one in Lavern is my fave because it's the closest to my dad and is always clean and neat. The wait can be long sometimes on Sundays and they don't take reservations over the phone, but it's easy to make them in here. The service is always kinda and the food is always everything I expect. They have a pretty good short stack of cinnacakes and the seasonal drinks are always the best. Ten out of ten recommend!

Came here with my girlfriend and a friend after our morning walk on a Tuesday morning. We typically are at the Glendora location and this is our first time at the La Verne location. We were seated right away since it was a not a busy Tuesday morning. The hostess let us know that they are currently doing catering for an order and may take a while and we said OK. It didn't take long, and the server came and took our orders. I ordered my usual Spicy Vegan Bowl. (Wish they had more savory breakfast vegan options HINT HINT and why is a bowl of veggies so expensive??). The Spicy Vegan Bowl includes: Plant-based JUST Egg™ scrambled with spinach, mushroom, onion, and red and green bell pepper over home fries and topped with a beyond sausage, avocado, and sriracha for $19.45. On the pricey side for a bowl of vegetables, which is why I don't come as often... My girlfriend had the chilaquiles (Corn tortilla chips sautéed with red or green sauce, topped with two eggs, Jack cheese, red onion, cilantro and sour cream. Choice of shredded chicken, carne asada or beef barbacoa) for $19.95 and she enjoyed it with her Mango Michelada $11.95. My friend had the Country Skillet (ham, bell peppers, onions, and home fries topped with cheddar cheese, sunny-side up eggs, and housemade country gravy) for $18.95. She enjoyed her country skillet with her cherry bomb mimosa . The Cherry bomb mimosa is in the sweeter side and made with syrup. Noise level was average since there weren't many customers for lunch on a Tuesday. Server was nice. One male and one female restroom. Located in a large lot.

Tania was our server and was very informative and welcoming. Ambience of the café really brings back old school cafe vibes. Food came in a timely manner.

I had a great experience at Broken Yolk Cafe! The service was friendly and very welcoming. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The food was delicious and great atmosphere. Overall, such a positive visit. I'll definitely be coming back!

Food 8/10. Service was 8/10. Ambience was cool. No complaints--just a solid breakfast spot you can count on. Pricing is a little high, but that's most breakfast places.

The food was pretty exquisite, plus it was reasonably portioned. The menu also has a great variety of breakfast foods so you will be sure to find something for yourself. The service was great and understanding. They sat me down immediately and was kind enough to move me to the table I waned. They even brought my girlfriend a muffin for free for her birthday. The ambiance was nothing too crazy but the simplicity was nice, it's great for a breakfast or brunch! Would recommend!

My fiancé and I were looking for a quick breakfast spot in between events. When we showed up there was a short wait. Even though we were told it was a 10min wait, we were quickly seated after 5mins of waiting. Our server was so kind and always made sure we were well taken care of. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and it was the perfect touch. Our food came out quickly. Our food was good but not great. Would come backs again!

I've been here about 3 times. It's a good place for breakfast. The service is often fair. Ambience is soft and areas are spacious. The portions can be big depending on what you order. The matcha is very delicious, and the pineapple matcha was a different twist, not bad.

Food was great, server was prompt and friendly, and place was clean. The specialty lattes were delicious. Portions were large. Will be back.

Broken Yolk is always very busy no matter which location you go to. This is my second time at this location. The interiors isn't as nice as other locations that I've been, but food always hit the spot. Good service, good range of menu options.. only negative and keep me from coming as often is the price. On average of $19-$23 per entrée.

Had to stop by AAA and saw this place. The food is great. Both omelet and Benedict were good. Service wise, not really. One of the order came out wrong which is totally fine everyone makes mistake but server walking by and saying I put in the right order and blaming the kitchen just doesn't seem right. Also never came to refill water or the coffee. I dont think we'll be back.

Coworker's Paradise in North Pomona! (sorry if it sounds like I'm writing a Zillow listing, but I'm…read morejust trying to get this to show up in search results if anyone else is curious LOL) OUTLETS: Plenty of outlets!!! There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.

Very relaxing atmosphere (at least when I visited). Customer…read moreservice was great! Coffee and desserts were very tasteful. I will definately be back to sample other desserts.

Also, a little insider tip: if you're feeling under the weather and want something better than a Starbucks Medicine Ball, order the Remedy Tea. It is so soothing and I highly recommend it! My recent experience: On my last visit, things felt a bit off. The staff seemed really rushed--they actually started making our drinks while we were still in the middle of ordering. Because of the rush, they missed my milk modification and the drink ended up being way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't really drink it. What saddened me most was that the cashier was pretty rude and dismissive toward us. We actually felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to ask for a remake, so we just headed out.
