    Monte Cristo

What a gem of a place! This restaurant is located inside the Sheraton Fairplex in Pomona. At first I was worried because this was really the only place to eat at the hotel and there is nothing to eat within walking distance. THANKFULLY this place is really good. I came here for breakfast and loved it. I got the Monte Cristo and added scrambled eggs to the sandwich. Honestly... probably the best Monte Cristo I've ever had! Everything was cooked perfect and the seasonal blackberry jam took it to the next level. It also came with potatoes which were good. $20 seems a little expensive for a breakfast that small, but with no other eating options, I'm glad the quality at least kind of justified the price. Definitely come here for breakfast if you're staying here.

I've been at this restaurant several times before since their food is delicious . Server was great always checking on us. The ambiance was nice and quiet. I have yet to try their breakfast . Which I shall return. Unfortunately they do not accept cash fyi just credit card payment.

Well, sadly we have been let down this year. Came in for a drink, as we always do, prior to going to the fair. The bar was filthy, the service was... well there was no service. Everyone was waiting forever. So much so, that we all went to the takeout side of the bar to order. What has happened? Did you not realize the fair was taking place?? Much improvement is needed.

Where to start... Tracy has been our fabulous hostess twice so far. This evening, we sat on the outside patio and our server was Chay. The real star was my patty melt. OMG!

We threw a memorable birthday celebration for my wife at McKinley Grille, and it turned out to be an extraordinary experience! Our friend Maricar had organized a reservation for a party of 20, and the restaurant's accommodation was nothing short of exceptional. They set us up in a private room that ensured we had the perfect blend of celebration and privacy. Situated within the Sheraton Fairplex & Conference Center Hotel, McKinley Grille offers the luxury of abundant parking, making our arrival hassle-free. Right from the moment we stepped in, the staff displayed a level of attentiveness that made us feel like VIPs. Their dedication to ensuring our experience was special was evident throughout the evening. Our party dined on a delectable selection that catered to everyone's palate. The Crispy Calamari (4/5) made for a delightful start, setting the tone for what was to follow. The Prime Ribeye Steak (4.7/5) was cooked to perfection, earning praise from even the most discerning steak aficionados. The Jidori Chicken (4.4/5) and McKinley Burger (4/5) offered flavorful alternatives, each leaving a satisfying mark. The Farm Raised Atlantic Salmon (4.1/5) showcased freshness, and the House Special Chicken Wings (4/5) were a hit with everyone around the table. The Caesar's Salad (4.2/5) was a classic choice that didn't disappoint. The diverse selection meant everyone found something to savor and enjoy. Our birthday dinner celebration was an absolute success, thanks to the combination of delectable dishes and the impeccable service that we received. The staff's attentiveness added a layer of warmth to the occasion, making us feel cherished throughout the evening. The restaurant's interior, being part of the Sheraton Hotel, is nothing short of upscale. The decor exudes sophistication, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, as the restaurant and restrooms were immaculate. The restrooms, in particular, were spotless, meeting our expectations for a high-quality dining establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend McKinley Grille, especially for large gatherings. Our experience was top-notch, and the staff's attention to detail truly made the evening special. As we left, we couldn't help but look forward to returning in the future for another exceptional dining experience. Always fast, prompt, and good! I love the ambiance here. Love the dark quiet of the bar. The Moscow Mule kicks "A**" Both our fries the regular and sweet potato were so dang good. The food here is great too. Looking forward to breakfast

I picked up some food to go from this grille while staying at the Sheraton hotel and needing a quick dinner one night! The turkey club sandwich was delicious! Totally hit the spot and you get to choose what side you want- I opted for a salad, which was also delicious. The bread was so fresh and the veggies were crisp! It was packaged up in a container and bag for me to take to go, which was nice for carrying to my room. I noticed several items on the menu that looked tasty, so would recommend giving them a try! The waitress taking my order was friendly and served me a glass of wine while I waited for my food to be ready. Definitely a convenient place right in the Sheraton hotel.

My review is based on two experiences. 1. Dinner - Overall service was very good. Server was prompt and attentive and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I had the McKinley's burger which was really good! Nice and tall burger that tasted great. Your side is a choice of fries, salad, fruit or sweet potato fries. I ordered sweet potato and it was good! Reasonable price for the plate at $20. 2. Breakfast - It is a buffet style breakfast which had offerings of eggs scrambled soft (plus to me, I don't like overcooked eggs), pancakes (really good!), seasoned potatoes, bacon, veggie frittata, and sausage (did not like at all, it's really dense and I have no idea what it is made of). The beverage service during breakfast was a lot different than dinner. The server took our drink order but completely disappeared. It was a good while before we hailed down a manager who helped get our beverages. The breakfast buffet is a bit pricey - about $28/person.

Came by on 1/15/2023 after spending the afternoon at Pomona Fairplex for the Asian Expo. With the rain coming down wanted a nice sit down place to chill and have dinner. This place popped up with openings located in the Sheraton Hotel. Parking is easy and free. We were greeted by the staff and Priscilla who was taking care of us. Priscilla at McKinley's Grill is truly amazing. She made our dining experience truly wonderful with her professionalism and friendliness. It was like connecting with a friend we hadn't seen in a while. Her manager, Brandon, should be proud as she is a true asset to the restaurant. Her great attitude and demeanor are a testament to the great workplace, leadership and company that McKinley's Grill is. We highly recommend this restaurant and specifically ask for Priscilla as your server. She raved about the deserts and even have a flourless chocolate cake. Very LA. We're looking forward to coming back and having desert and other meals.

    Sliders, Caesar, Salad Cobb Salad

We loved McKinley's. We came after the Fair for dinner. Our Server Angel, was amazing. Attentive, friendly and polite service. Wish all Servers gave his level of service. The food was delicious. We ordered the Sliders which were the best I've ever had. The meat was out of this world. I ordered a Full Entree Caesar Salad with Steak my BF ordered a Cobb Salad with Chicken. The dressings were great. And the greens were so fresh and tasty. We opted to eat our lunch here on day two as well. Their food is so much better than anything you can get at the fair. And actually fairly priced. We might be back for dinner and breakfast tomorrow before we head home. Don't miss this hidden gem inside the Sheraton Pomona Fairplex. The only thing I was bummed about was the patio with fireplace and fire pits wasn't open. I was really looking forward to hanging out there.

We came for breakfast on a Saturday and the restaurant was quite empty, but started filling up a little more around 9/9:30am. The host was quite apathetic, but our server was very friendly and happy. I ordered the French toast, but it was very dry and bland. My husband got the eggs benedict, which was good! I also got a pumpkin spice latte, but it tasted mostly like warm milk, with little coffee flavor or spice flavor.

A most near second is the braised short rib, served with a delectable and cloud-soft heap of mashed potatoes. Of lesser note were the wagyu tacos, pigs in a blanket, and the maple pecan butter cake, which proved but ordinary in their savor. Why gave I it four? - Forsooth, the service remaineth most excellent, the choices ample, and the fare overall commendable. Know thou, many of the draughts afore-mentioned were priced for happy hour as a small note. Of those dishes deemed but middling, the wagyu tacos and pigs in a blanket lacked that wondrous spark upon the tongue. Lastly, the dry-aged ribeye, though served with seasoning apart, did taste somewhat over-salted to mine palate. Yet, these faults did not greatly diminish mine experience for I retain my favored dishes and shall return anon. Verdict? - Shouldst thou find thyself near Claremont, prithee give it a try, for it is a place most grand.

Service was great we had a nice lady who got us all we needed throughout the night! As for the food... mmm there are some things that lacked. The bread wasn't the best, it was dense not soft, plain, not warm pretty much nothing to it. We all ordered different cuts of steak, the trail boss (which was okay I feel like it lacked in seasoning or just salt but the cook was fine) cowboy steak (which we ordered medium rare but came out medium/ medium well) so they were nice enough to bring him a new one so that was great on the service part, everyone else liked their options from the ribeye (he actually just wished there was a bone in ribeye), the NY steak & the filet they all enjoyed. I couldn't even hear the person across from me that I came with to eat dinner nor could I hear the server either. The restaurant was so excruciatingly loud that it genuinely caused bad ear pain and a headache so we left before ordering anything else besides water. Completely ruined the entire experience. And for reference I don't have any hearing problems and I'm in my 20s, so if I can't hear what the person directly next to me is saying then there's a problem here. It was so crowded and full of loud drunk people. Incredibly overwhelming. This place needs better max capacity laws in place or if they actually have them they're definitely not following them here. Also the inside set up is like a labyrinth. It's a confusing half open concept to the outside, half inside, and all very overstimulating. None of the staff seemed concerned at all with the hundreds of people overfilling the restaurant loudly speaking/yelling. This is unacceptable to be honest. I just wanted to come here to have a nice dinner after a long day at work and I couldn't. Beware of the noise especially if you have children or older people in your party; we didn't have either but I can't imagine how they'd feel in this chaotic environment. Btw, sitting outside won't change or help this fact either as it was also extremely overcrowded and nearly just as loud as well. 1/5 stars. Please manage your capacity better because it's driving customers away. This is supposed to be a nice restaurant not a club.

There's a 90-minute minimum, and they don't bring a bottle to the table--you get one mimosa at a time, and you have to finish it before they'll bring another. The first one I got tasted like straight orange juice barely any champagne. I sent it back and to their credit, they remade it much better They mentioned they control pours to keep the environment in check, which I understand--but if you're expecting free-pour vibes, that's not the case here. Food-wise: French toast & breakfast potatoes were really good However the Chilaquiles were super dry and lacked flavor--wouldn't recommend Burger & fries were decent, but nothing special As for drink pricing, it does lean a bit on the higher side. bucket of 5 beers was around $42, $15 for a Tito's vodka shot, and even a basic Jack and Coke came out to about $18 with tip, which felt a little steep for the area. the best deal was definitely the green tea shots at only $9 I will say, our waitress Priscilla was great. She had a lot of tables and seemed a bit overwhelmed, but she still made an effort to check on us and kept my mimosas coming pretty promptly. I didn't have to wait long at all between refills, which I appreciated. Since we went for a special event, the DJs were great and really kept the energy up the whole time Parking was easy. It did say there was a $2 fee, but when we printed the ticket, we weren't charged--so it might be free, but I'd still double-check at the kiosk just in case. Overall: decent spot for the vibe, music, and brunch outing, but just be prepared for controlled drinks and slightly higher prices.

I really enjoyed the food presentation. Definitely fancier than what we're used to. Think like a nice wedding but the food was actually good. I had the stew with mash and my husband had steak medallions with truffle fries. His steaks were perfectly tender. My stew was very flavorful and hearty. The brown, butter mashed potatoes were so good. We had a lemon, coconut cheesecake to finish that didn't disappoint. One suggestion, check their website for an updated menu. Don't go by the one in here. That was my mistake. Apparently it changes every season.

Shout out to our server, Emily, who was super friendly and helpful with their menu. We advised that we were mildly in a rush and she took care of us. They started us off with an amuse (Italian meats on crostinis). They were yummy! We ordered the Brussel sprouts for app and the Australian wagyu with truffle fries for dinner. Wow! I am so impressed with how tender and juicy the meat was. The seasoning was just right. We got a little side of demi glace to compliment the steak. All were so good! Their menu is updated for the season so I'm looking forward to checking out other entrees at my next visit!

We sat outside and the ambiance (both inside and outside) were nice. The outside was definitely a lot quieter than inside, and the server next to us even offered to turn on the heaters (though not needed). I enjoyed being outside. We started off with appetizers which included grilled octopus and oysters. Although, even though they were on ice, the oysters weren't cold enough for me. Still, we downed them with the fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce and just prayed about it later lol. My family liked the grill octopus. It was tender and had a very smokey char flavor but if I'm being honest, it was not MY favorite so I probably would not personally order again. Even my mom said she thought it was "just alright." I ordered the Branzino and it lacked in flavor. I was not a fan of the green sauce it had on the side. It was not completely terrible, but not great either. It was cooked well and crispy, but that's all I can say for it as even Tabasco didn't make it great. The best thing of the night was probably the lamb chops and the cheese ravioli. They were both cooked well & tasted great so if I were to come back Id stick to pasta and that. The lychee mocktails & their ricotta cheesecake were probably my favorite things on the menu. The tart was decent. Our waiter was slow at times and kept either forgetting certain drinks or what we asked of him or the kitchen was just slower than usual. I'm not sure which, but service wasn't on par with the price point in my opinion. Luckily we were pretty relaxed, but my mom had finished her food by the time her wine arrived. Overall, it was an ok night. My family at least had fun and enjoyed their time there. The food was presented nicely, and service was OK as a whole but I'm not sure I'd come back on my own accord again. Definitely nice to say I've visited & tried it out at least once though!

Wasn't busy when we walked in and when we left there were quite a few people waiting to place their orders. Not sure if they are short staffed or just not adequately staffed but there was one employee taking the orders and making the food. Gotta give it to the guy working because he still offered great service. We ordered a steak bachi-rito and it was good. Not much steak for the price $17 and the seared ahi tuna entree. Food looked ok at best. Rice wasn't your typical friend rice. No egg or veggies or any other protein for that matter. Little skimpy on veggies but they did have good flavor. I wanted to love my seared tuna but it lacked flavor. Thank goodness for their sauces which were great. I slathered my tuna in their ginger sauce and garlic butter and it's exactly what the food needed. This place certainly has potential. I will certainly try this place again perhaps not so late in the day.
