We have a split decision here. My wife loved every aspect of her meal. The omelette was light, fluffy and layered like a crepe. The avocado was fresh. She loved the pancakes. A little dry, but very tasty. I found my breakfast to be bland. The steak was flavored right, but a poor cut of meat. Biscuits and gravy were neither good nor disappointing. The coffee was better than average. We liked that they didn't heavily salt everything. The service started out poor as we were barked at from across the room by the hostess to choose any seat to our left before the door was closed. Regaldo saved the service in my opinion. He did a great job. The space is dated but clean. With the price of goods and services being quite high locally, the prices are here at $57 for 2 are still higher than most of the other breakfast spots I frequent.

I am always on the hunt for the Perfect Diner. I've wanted to try this place since I moved back to my hometown over a decade ago and found that what once was the Sizzler of my youth was now a simple diner. Stepping inside is like stepping back in time or entering a portal into some one-horse town in the Midwest. Wood paneling everywhere. Brown tile flooring that hasn't been replaced since the Regan era, and kitschy tin signs from Hobby lobby. The good, my two children and my husband were satisfied with their meals. The sunny side up eggs came out perfect for my eldest, and we all agreed the bacon was perfect. My youngest had the chocolate chip pancakes, and that's a total no-brainer. My husband had a meat lovers omelette and no complaints. Now for the negative. We were sitting for at least 10 minutes before any staff checked in on us. I was so thirsty. Secondly the pancakes were a mess. They didn't taste like buttermilk, which should be standard at a diner and the waiter said they were, but worse, they were falling apart. No structural integrity whatsoever (per my photos) the waiter said they were made from scratch, and if that's the case they need to tighten their recipe. Lastly the hash browns. I love hash browns, and they were cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside... but with no seasoning whatsoever. Even adding ketchup could not summon my enthusiasm or hunger. I sent the pancakes back, and they were kind enough to remove them from my bill, I should have sent the hash browns back also, but I didn't have the heart. Our server was so kind. The other patrons seemed perfectly content, but I doubt I'll return with my fam any time soon.

Excellent brunch here. We were a little late fro pancakes so I got the shrimp and fries. I didn't want a large meal so this hit the spot. Nice place and great service.

    Vegetable Scramble

Second visit on Sunday morning. No wait time to sit down. Waiter asked what we wanted to drink. Coffees came with a choice of different creamers, French Vanilla, Hazelnut and Half and Half. The vegetable scramble was great and the pancakes were soft and spongy. The waitress was attentive by asking about more coffee multiple times. Nice ambiance with upbeat music playing in the background.

Service: staff very attentive. Coffee was refreshed multiple times. Menu is expansive. The gladiator lived up to its name and they have senior specials.

    Chilaquiles rojos
    Paola M.

When we arrived we were greeted by a very polite young lady after her was another young lady very sweet. Then came a male server who took our order. I did ask for recommendations between the chile verde plate or the chilaquiles but his response were a bit short i don't know how to explain it. We went there for an early bday celebration of mine and I was not very impressed. Everyone in my party enjoyed their order, as for me well I did ordered the chilaquiles rojos which were good and spicy, the rice and beans were too bland. I ordered a waffle as well and that was very good. Just fyi Their menu has a lot of options and I mean a whole lot of options. I'm sure you might enjoy something from there as for me i guess it was just not it :(

Service was on point. The ambiance is a nice coffee shop. The food was delicious! My partner had the Swedish Crepes with loganberry. ! I had the Biscuits & Gravy & Sausage. I'm pretty picky with gravy and this gravy is good! We will be back again!!

Service: Friendly and on time on a fairly busy sunday morning. ambiance: this place is awesome, people were either studying, vibing, hanging out with family, rolling solo. They got curious and got a reservation when they saw it as they were passing by on the freeway and thought it looked nice. Ambiance: 3/5 - Place looked nice outside with a koi pond by a nice entryway but looked underwhelming on the inside with a large empty hallway right next to a small host area, and basic waiting chairs. Dining tables were tightly packed as well. Food: 3/5 - Food looked good but tasted bland and underseasoned, might just be the lechon asado I ordered or could've just been my palatte but that's my take on it. Service: 4/5 - Service was okay, wasn't the worst but also wasn't the best. Although there were barely any customers in the restaurant at that time, we had to wait around 5 minutes after seating before we were given water on the table and asked for anything to drink. Throughout the service, waters were refilled without us having to ask but we did have to call and ask for soda refills. Overall, the place and the food was okay, and it was a good place to try.

My order didn't come with the oysters or the hushpuppies, and another order at our table was also missing hushpuppies. After I got home, I called about the missing items and was told they were out of oysters. They also said the hushpuppies were forgotten and told me to let them know next time and they would take care of it. The seafood was seasoned well and tasted good overall. The only downside for me was the dark part in the fish (the bloodline), which has a stronger taste and isn't my preference. For sides, I had greens and candied yams. The greens were a little bland and needed more seasoning, and the yams were just okay--not very sweet. Someone with me ordered oxtails, mac and cheese, and collard greens. The oxtails were actually pretty good, but the mac and cheese wasn't for me (I don't usually like mac and cheese). The collard greens were just okay. The wait time was about 25-30 minutes, which they did mention ahead of time. One thing to note is that when we went, it was cash only because the card machine wasn't working. They accepted Zelle, but it would be helpful to have a sign posted. The place is small, but the customer service was great. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, and the staff overall seemed on point. Overall, the food was decent, but nothing that would make me come back.

Why would the server even bring out the wrong pancakes to me and tell me they made the wrong one, but it's good. Based on how long things were taking I opted to just keep them. My friend's food came 5 minutes after. She asked for salsa and that took 10 minutes to arrive because 2 servers forgot. Then we needed napkins, we had to ask for those. We had to ask for everything multiple times and that is worse than getting the wrong flavored pancakes. I hope to never come here again. The service is subpar. Let me tell you and stop you right in your tracks if you're looking at other things on their menu. Their Croffle is top of the line, the best croffle invention I have ever had, and gave me another reason to exist and enjoy life, just so I can eat their Croffles. This makes an airy, buttery, crunchy, waffle bite, and it's got me drooling as I am typing this hungry. They pair it here with mixed berries, and their house-made fresh whipped cream.
