As a parent, I really appreciated how kind and accommodating she was with the kids, because that's definitely not always the experience you get at restaurants! There is a lot going on at Corky's. The menu is vast and nearly anything you could possibly want is available. The place was pretty busy so that seemed to be a good sign as well. The restaurant is clean and has a country cute design and items on the wall. The staff was over and above in the friendly department. Very nice and professional. There were 3 of us and we ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes, French toast and country Benedict. This is a pretty standard order for us. I appreciate that the eggs and bacon were not from packages. The eggs however were a little overcooked. I don't like brown marks. I only want to see yellow. I think every thing may be cooked on a fry top and not in skillets. My main concern with the country Benedict was that the biscuit was hard and the cheese seemed to be a slice of velveeta. Hand grated cheese would have been best. The gravy was very good but that didn't even soften the biscuit. The French toast was better but the crusts were a little dry like they came from the freezer and not dipped before cooking. We are new to the area and there were a lot of positives about this place. We will try it again but I will ask more questions so I get what works best for me. This may have been an off day but I fear there are just too many choices on the menu and they have a lot prepared ahead of time. read more

We liked it, enjoyed it, were entertained, and would go back. By entertained I mean were sat at the bar by server/manager? Brian. So there were a number of bonus interactions a table seat would not have manifested and plenty of overhearing fun shoptalk. Brian was in a great mood at the end of the night (we closed it down) and very attentive and kind to my teen child dining with me. Quality and freshness of the food - great. Kid enjoyed french toast and a side of home fries. My Corky's Clucker chicken sandwich, spicy, was messy and delightful. I was 100% going to get a breakfast burrito, then I saw this, and imagined Samuel L Jackson ordering it, and was curveballed. It had crispy dill pickle chips AND the slaw had chopped sweet pickles in it, which made for pickle pandemonium, in a good way. Together with the fresno chilies and crispy chicken patty doused in buffalo sauce, I believe that's what some people identify as flavortown. But it is not for the delicate palate. HOWEVER, be it known to ye who would think it wise, as I did, and still do, generally but not specifically for my own personal chili code reasons, to upgrade your side of fries to chili cheese fries (or order the full order): there're kidney beans. KNOW THIS TOO: They say they have jamberry pie as a seasonal offering and you're like OOooO I like the sound of that as visions of blueberries, blackberries, boysenberries, loganberries??, dance in your head, and there you go ordering jamberry pie with vanilla ice cream. No they didn't, and no you didn't. They said they have JanBarry Pie as a seasonal offering and that's what you ordered. Granted it does have some strawberries atop, but the rest is a creamy/custardy affair with lots of bananas (which happen to be berries, confusing). It's good but it's not what you thought you'd be eating with that ice cream. Not really an a la modey kind of pie. Shame on me for not asking the simple question, "what's in that?" but sometimes I like to just go in blind based on dish name and vibes alone when something sounds good. I didn't even know there was a Corky's in Pomona until my brother mentioned it--I've only been to the Rancho location before. We decided to come here on Easter, and surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all. Our waiter was very kind and even offered to take a picture for us, which was a really nice touch. The breakfast portions were very hearty. I ordered the Hobo skillet and honestly couldn't finish it--it was a lot of food. I was also given biscuits and gravy, but unfortunately, the gravy was cold, which was disappointing. My hubby felt the same way. My daughter ordered the stuffed French toast and seemed to really enjoy it. Overall, a mixed experience--great service and generous portions, but the cold gravy was a letdown. read more

Corkys has been a hit almost every time I stop by. Recently they have made some changes. For one, sides of fries now come in a small metal basket. The basket looks nice but can barely hold any fries inside. There is a significant difference in portions compared to before. This last visit one of the items we ordered was fish and chips. The fish was not good, it was greasy and the batter did not taste good. The fries came in a small portion inside the basket and were also very greasy and soggy. Went driving around and saw the sugar rush cafe is closed. So we made it over to Corky's for breakfast The traffic was atrocious. But we have the greatest waitress she's so attentive and sweet and nice. The menu here has changed a lot since the last I've been here They have all kinds of Benedict eggs available. Really crowded and centrally located. Large menu And ample food options. Bar seats, indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty decent prices also. We ate at the bar and were served within 5 mins. We had coffee and OJ to drink. We had the build your own omelette and the omelette with bell peppers, onions, cheese and tomatoes. I also had the oatmeal, which was delicious: nice and thick.
