It was my first time visiting this Yard House location in Chino Hills! I had arrived on a Friday afternoon to meet with my colleagues, and had found myself waiting about 30 minutes for a table. The bar area was also very full, so beware! It was quite difficult to find parking, too. After we had gotten seated, we realized that Happy Hour had started. Each table had its own mini kiosk, that you could order your food from. Alcohol could only be ordered by their server. In celebration of Oktoberfest, I had decided to purchase Yard House's 2026 stein that came with a Prost Pass. The Prost Pass allows the buyer to come back to yard house to purchase a half yard for $5 with food purchases! Quite worth it if you're a beet enthusiast like myself. For happy hour, my colleagues and I had ordered their fried cheese curds, pepperoni pizza, truffle fries, chicken strips, and their poke nachos. As for my drink, I had ordered their Pumpkin Ale. The food is the typical food; nothing fancy but very decently priced for happy hour. My pumpkin ale was delicious and a great way to kick start the PSL Season! Came for the happy hour on a Monday at around 4:50pm (about 15 mins wait). Happy hour is half off appetizers and $2 off draft beers from 3-6pm Monday - Friday. It's been about 4 years since I've gone to their happy hour so the menu has changed a little and it's no longer how I remembered it to be. The only thing consistent is the poke nacho chips which is still very good!! We also ordered the chicken lettuce wrap, two pizzas (buffalo and truffle mushroom), calamari, and Brussels sprouts. I was very excited for the pizza thinking that I ordered the bbq chicken pizza but it came out to the Buffalo. I double checked the menu and asked the waitress and I misread the menu. They changed out the bbq chicken for buffalo pizza! Very sad day for me. I wasn't a huge fan of the buffalo or the truffle mushroom pizzas. Too much bread, not a lot of flavor/toppings. Brussel sprouts and the chicken lettuce wrap was decent but it's not an OMG this is so good type of dish. We did get two orders of the chicken lettuce wrap for three people because one plate wasn't enough to share (big eaters over here). We also tried the seasonal pumpkin beer rimmed with cinnamon which was pretty decent as well. Yard house happy hour has dropped down in my list drastically and it's not how I remembered. Went in on a Friday night around 8:30pm. 4 people at the hostess stand, one at the end unsure what she was doing, two just talking to each other and one on the pad . 4 people and not one could say hi, we'll be with you in a second or anything? Checked online to see had the least wait time between, Rancho, Chino and Riverside. Chino had the least wait time, which was little to none. When I arrived, I didn't have to wait, and was seated right away. I ordered the Whiskey Pepper/Korean Garlic wings and the Lobster Garlic Noodles to-go. The wings were pretty flavorful and the crisp on them was just right. The Lobster Garlic Noodles were decent tasting ....I sampled a little of it, when I got home. The Noodles should have been cooked with oil, because I was picking up chunks of stuck together Noodles. Not a lot of chunks, but more that should have been in there, and it was lacking Garlic flavor. Came to Yard House in Chino Hills off Peyton Drive on a busy Monday night, and the place was packed! Between the Dodgers vs. Cincinnati game and the Broncos vs. Kansas City game, the bar was full, drinks were pouring, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Walter was our waiter and took great care of us, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. Great service! I ordered the chicken wrap because I was trying to stick with a higher-protein option, and my friend ordered the poke nachos. I have to admit, her poke nachos were definitely better than my wrap , but everything was still good! I also had two glasses of Moscato, which were really good. It's been years since visiting a yard house location. Inside is a little smaller than other establishments. Patio space for those wanting an open air dining experience. Parking right in front. Happy hour menu is appealing to the crowds. Service was good. Welcome and departure greetings from front of house was great. Would recommend the Brussel sprouts. Salad was ok. What I really didn't care for was the swig of sour beer in my water and muddled used lemon that I hadn't touched yet. After switching my water out it was a clean unused glass of water. The overall experience with service was decent. The standard expectations of quality sanitation heath and safety definitely needs improvement and attention from manager. Happy hour here is my favorite hour ever. Their happy hour deals can really cut down the costs of eating out especially with good American food. Happy hour is from 3-7 pm so it's super easy to take advantage of and because each item is half off, I love to get a whole bunch of stuff and act like it is a sampler. Their chicken nachos are genuinely to die-for. The one downside is that anytime outside of happy hour the fun just seems to stop because the deals are not apparent. Also, the ambience is kind of spooky. Picture a lighting so dark you have to use a flashlight to read the menu and seats too tall you have to embarrassingly jump up to your booth. But overall, great restaurant and good food. read more

Visited this location on a Friday night. It was pretty busy but we got a table after waiting approximately 30 minutes. First impression of this place is that it's pretty small. The staff were friendly and professional. Our waitress was attentive which is always good when dining with kids. Our food came out pretty fast considering how busy the place was. All our food met our expectations. With the exception of the calamari portion. We also had sliders, onion rings, a couple salads Mac n cheese. All very tasty. I think I would've given this place a five star if it wasn't for the mess the men's restroom was. Tiny restroom with one urinal that was wrapped in a bag, wet floors and trash all over. We had a horrible experience at the Yard House in Chino Hills, from a burn incident to serious concerns about how food allergies were handled. I burned three fingers on an extremely hot item brought to our table without any warning from the employee who delivered it. I informed our server, Giovanna A, and asked for at least a glass of ice. She brought it, but her response felt dismissive and showed little concern about what had happened. Service throughout the visit was also disappointing. Giovanna rarely checked on our table, and when we requested napkins, she brought only two small paper napkins. Most concerning, I explicitly informed Giovanna that my girlfriend has gluten and dairy allergies. My girlfriend ordered three tacos from the gluten-free menu, yet two arrived on flour tortillas. This raises serious concerns about the attention given to clearly communicated allergies. Between the lack of warning about the hot item, the response to my injury, inattentive service, and the allergy issue, this was an unacceptable experience. We will not be returning. read more

Had not been here for a few years and was looking for something different for me and my family, I recalled them having a good stout and saw it on the menu, but was told they were out. I ended up ordering a belching beaver stout which seemed flat and a little sweet for my liking. For an appetizer we ordered the cheese curds, they were good, but could have been cooked a little longer. For the entry I ordered the BBQ bacon cheddar burger, which for $20 I was not impressed. The size, flavor just wasn't there. It was a little dry and lacked the wow factor. My daughter also ordered a burger and said it was dry as well. Service was just ok, nothing stood out. Finally got to experience happy hour here, and it did not disappoint. We arrived just before 5 PM and only waited about 15 minutes, which was great. The restaurant itself is very nice and welcoming. My party ordered around four appetizers and two drinks. Despite it being busy, the service was impressively quick. The food was overall pretty good. I just wished the calamari had a bit more crispiness, and the pizza could have been a little bit hotter temperature wise when it came out. The margarita and piña colada were both good. It's been a while since I've visited any of the locations in SoCal but my mom moved and didn't want to worry about cooking or cleaning so we came here. Service was good from Kashmir and it was definitely a sports day cause the place was booming. The energy was going and every tv had a different game on which was expected for this establishment. Everything was clean compared to other cities that have a Yard House. For the food, I was pleasantly surprised that the quality was still up to par. We had some kids with us and unfortunately the kids Mac n cheese was lacing flavor and cheese. The kids chicken tenders were standard. Terrible experience with the waitlist at Yard House. At 4:36 PM, we received a text stating that the estimated wait was 45 to 55 minutes and even recommending that we arrive on the earlier side of that timeframe. It is now 5:48 PM. We have already waited 72 minutes and staff are telling us it will be approximately ANOTHER 30 minutes before we are seated. That would make the actual wait over 100 minutes, nearly double the estimate we were given. To make matters worse, Happy Hour ends at 6:00 PM. We specifically relied on Yard House's estimated wait time and now we are going to miss Happy Hour entirely because their estimate was nowhere close to accurate. It is also Friday evening. After spending this much time waiting, it is too late to reasonably go somewhere else and start over on another restaurant's waitlist. This delay has effectively left us stuck and disrupted our entire evening. I understand that restaurants get busy and wait times can change, but there is a huge difference between a 45 to 55 minute wait and nearly two hours. If the restaurant is this backed up, customers deserve a realistic estimate and timely updates so they can decide whether they want to wait. Very disappointing experience at Yard House. At 4:36 PM, I received a message saying, "Estimated wait time is 45-55 mins. We recommend arriving on the earlier side of this timeframe." Based on that estimate, I expected to be seated by around 5:30 PM at the latest. It is now 5:43 PM, more than an hour after receiving the message, and I was just told there is STILL another 30-minute wait. What makes this even more frustrating is that Happy Hour ends at 6:00 PM. We planned our visit around the wait time Yard House provided, yet because their estimate was so inaccurate, we will completely miss Happy Hour while continuing to wait. If the actual wait is going to be 90+ minutes, customers should be told that upfront instead of being given a 45-55 minute estimate. People make plans based on the information the restaurant provides. Extremely frustrating and poorly managed experience. read more

One Star! Just as others pointed out the service here went downhill BAD! Like many others already stated theres like 4 hostesses and none of them greet you or ask you how many for dinner they are just talking to theirselves. We thought screw this let's just go sit at the bar. We sat at the bar and theres like 7 bartenders and like 3 standing right in front of you and none of them greet you say hi or what can I get you? You literally have to make a lot of noise just to be acknowledged. Also it was not even busy there were open seats all around the bar. Finally after about 15 minutes we got one bartender to take our order. I'm not sure if he was new or just didn't want to be there either way lousy attitude coming from him. We order our drinks and dinner. Then he comes back and says the drinks we wanted are out of stock. Like WHAT? No sorry for making you wait that long just to tell you another 20minutes later we don't have the drinks you ordered 35 minutes ago? We finally found drinks that were "in stock" and they came about another 10 minutes later after all that. We then for our next round of drinks ordered some really expensive TOP TOP Shelf drinks from him and then he goes to the complete opposite end to take a couples order and their order seemed complicated because he kept asking a manager to help him order it. We then asked him nicely 4 times about our drinks and then he said oh no worries it's coming. Another 20 minutes goes by and still no drinks. We then get up and close with another bartender and just walk out. What pissed me off the most was theres like 3 bartenders right in front of you not doing anything at all and then another 4 bartenders behind them really not doing anything at all just chatting and making jokes with each other. Why couldn't 1 of the 7 bartenders take our order and make our drinks properly? The 4 bartenders just hanging out and not working shouldn't even have come to work that day considering they weren't working at all. read more

The servers were quick to notice any water refills, when we needed any help, and the food was fresh and hot! The food during happy hour is great for pricing. Right now, this is one of my favorite places to go. The food is absolutely delicious. The environment is stimulating fun and exciting. The servers are always helpful and friendly with great smiles. My mother is a favorite of the whiskey, glazed salmon with garlic, mashed potatoes, honey carrots, and baby broccoli. I usually get the Aji tuna poke nachos, which are so delicious. I devoured the entire plate to myself. Then I'll usually get the Cobb salad because they have one of the best Cobb salads out there I believe in Southern California. Keep in mind I am still on the hunt for the best Cobb salad so stay tuned in other reviews. The Yard House is really known for their eclectic collection of beers from all over the world. That I usually go for one of the yummy martinis or the smoked old-fashioned, which is my best bet. The Yard House also has really amazing hamburgers with cheese and bacon the whole 9 yards. I've been to this location in Chino Hills, and also the one in Long Beach right on the boardwalk. For an awesome experience check them out you definitely won't be disappointed. Their menu has a little something for everybody. It's romantic with a great vibe so you could take a date or family like I do. Yardhouse gets a bad wrap but i have always enjoyed their happy hour. The HH offerings are sizeable - food and drinks. On a particularly glutton-ous Friday evening, I treated one of my aunties for HH. We ordered a bunch of items -- lettuce wraps, chicken fingers, sliders, queso and chips, garlic noodles, pizza, calamari and Brussels sprouts. Love their sangria and pineapple mule as well. Those never fail. All of this for about $100. Can't beat it. read more

First time at this Yard House and came during lunch. Restaurant was pretty much empty and had a good amount of parking spaces. Overall, look and feel is like a normal Yard House. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Ordered some items like a lemonade, guac and chips and a chicken and shrimp pad thai. The lemonade tasted standard but there was just too much ice. Granted it did have free refills but getting the refill was an issue. More on that later. The guac and chips tasted good, but there wasn't enough chip for the dip weirdly enough. The chips are made in house as it was warm when we got it. The chicken and shrimp pad thai originally comes with chili flakes and I have to say, unless you like spicy, I would opt without it. I ordered mine without it and it was still pretty spicy. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce they use because it was just so nauseatingly creamy with the peanut butter sauce or something like that in there. Most pad Thai have bean sprouts to give it a nice refreshing crunch but this one didn't. I wasn't a huge fan. Service here is really slow. Like it took 2 hours to finish the lunch. That is from ordering to finish eating and getting the check. The restaurant wasn't busy or packed when I went so it was just hard to service when needed. Even pressing the service button on the little computer didn't do much. It takes an awful long time to even get a refill for drinks, get the food, and to get the check. I was sitting around for a while looking for a server to get the check. The interior of this place is black with dark color themed. Typical bar theme and just standard Yard House styling. Overall, service needs to be improved in terms of speed and availability. I think this yard house is a bit worse than the others. Would I recommend this particular one? Me thinks not. read more

Service was very slow. My drink was empty for a while and we barely saw our server. It was Father's Day, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt, since it was really busy. We waited about 40 minutes for a table. Not bad, considering. The food was fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the cheese curds a lot! Those were cheesy and heavenly lol I also ordered the avocado toast and that was good. I like that the avocado toast had some cheese, and veggies on top. The toppings were fresh. The gardein wings were all right. The texture was more like tofu, than chicken. I would not order those again. The parmesan truffle fries arrived to our table cold. Those are not good when they are cold. The giant pretzel with beer cheese, was overcooked. The pretzel was hard and visibly you could tell it was overcooked. Most of the food was good. The food is overpriced and tastes cheap; the ambiance is outdated and dirty; and the service is rushed. Yard House (Chino Hills) is managed poorly. I sat at a sticky table with a fly that buzzed by my overpriced dish ($32.99). This Lobster Garlic Noodles tasted like microwaved instant Yakisoba noodles, cheap liquid garlic sauce, and leftover defrosted ingredients. Even with its penny-pinching taste, the portion size is extremely small. I left Yard House (Chino Hills) feeling a little nauseated and still hungry. I arrived at Yard House (Chino Hills) on Wednesday (around 1:10PM). I noticed the smudged glass door entrance, and when I entered, I saw unswept and splotchy stained floors. The front lobby felt air-conditioned, but my corner table lacked fresh ventilation. The air felt musty and warm. The Yard House (Chino Hills) is big, so its ventilation does not fully circulate. Everything felt and looked dirty. I wiped food crumbs off my seat. My elbows touched dried sticky table stains. And the menu had many worn down pages with more dried sticky stains. My server (David) is friendly. I observed how the location looked understaffed, so David was frantically rushing from table to table. David never reappeared to offer drink refills. However, my water tasted like old ice, so I didn't mind much. I ordered the "popular" Lobster Garlic Noodles ($32.99). The food arrived in nine minutes. That was fast. The Lobster Garlic Noodles ($32.99) is tiny. The shrimp are barely warm. The noodles are wet, oily, and salty. There's also a strong artificial garlic flavor. Although I enjoyed the plump mushrooms and meager lobster pieces, the meal was lazily prepared. This entire meal resembled the flavors of processed leftovers, forgotten in the backside of a freezer. Currently, it's a tourist trap dish. As mentioned prior, the ambiance is dirty and outdated. 80s songs (Example: "Shout") repeatedly fired from the speakers. And its tables, menus, booths, and reflective surfaces felt neglected. If I were to compliment Yard House (Chino Hills), I'd mention the artwork. I enjoyed the colors. Also, its bar section looked well-maintained. The bar's counter appeared clean. Also, Yard House (Chino Hills) has many flat screen televisions that play sports (ESPN & Spectrum SportsNet channel). Unfortunately, these televisions have no closed captioning subtitles despite being muted. Overall, Yard House (Chino Hills) offers an overpriced and bad experience. It's blessed with a popular and visible location, yet Yard House (Chino Hills) offers the bare minimum to its customers. Yard House (Chino Hills) is dirty, frugal, and outdated. I haven't had Yardhouse in quite a while, but my wife was craving some Super Fries but there wasn't any restaurants around that had Super Fries. However I remembered that Yardhouse had Frachos that could be like super fries. So I ordered over the phone and didn't really think anything of it because the hostess knew what I wanted and finished the order. When I came home, it was quite a disappointment that it was regular steak nachos (chips), and not fries, hence Frachos. It clearly says Frachos on my receipt, but it was the wrong order. I've been to this Yard house a few times and I've never had to wait so long and I love that. I wish I remembered our servers name, he was great and it was only his second day working there. Last week we specifically went for appetizers and drinks. We ended up getting poke nachos, spicy garlic edamame and boneless wings and they were all amazing. For drinks we ordered a salted watermelon margarita, lavender drop and a Malibu peach and that one was my favorite! While I was there they have music playing and I love how the lights are dimmed.
